We came here with our two friends each of them having a little one strapped to their backs. Our dog Momo was also part of the group and she particularly loved this walk. At the time we were her in late spring (end of May), we were able to see still lots of wild flowers, but my friend mentioned that Renee were even more a few weeks earlier. The trails are mostly leading through forest area and so you're in the shade most of the time. We took a trail that led us to the peak and we were able to enjoy lovely views over the valley. Note: there's lots of poison oak here. If you have small kids with you, remind them to be vigilant.

The bathrooms and showers was very clean and love how it has PIN number locks for exclusivity campers use only and safety too. Zack thought of everything. Would come back and stay here again. Location was convenient when you need a quick comfy bed stay for passing through drives. Our wagon stay was super clean enough to fit a family of four comfortably. Immersed among all the tall pine trees, sunny valley campsite was a hit! Will come come and stay again.

We got it settled and had no problems after that. The sites was long enough for our trailer and truck in front. Thanks to Dean who helped direct us in because he got us farther back than I would because of a box in back. He was so kind and helpful!! Our guides--Peter, Anna, Kristen, and Jonas--were ideal leaders and companions: friendly, skilled, professional, and hard-working. The lodges were a treat, especially at the end of a rainy day, and the food at all of them was excellent. I only wish that the trail-hiking option (hiking along the river trail while the rafts floated) was more clearly explained in WRE's website info, I would have brought hiking boots if I had known about that option.

We did the lodge trip, warm showers, wine, home cooked dinners and breakfast in the morning was perfect. There was also time for hiking, singing and games, totally entertaining. Our guides were just the BEST! Keep us safe, taught us river etiquette, took historical stops, made different lunches everyday, had people swimming, jumping off of rocks, having the best trip ever. The brought out inflatable kayaks for either the quiet areas, or if you were brave, some of the smaller rapids. A trip that memories are made of, 2nd trip, hope to do it again!

Air conditioned, plenty of parking and very close by to downtown Grants Pass. Lots of fun activities from going on an hour boat ride on the Rogue River to wonderful restaurants and small town feel. Two bedrooms with two baths, very clean and quiet. We will definitely be back for camping and everything else Grants Pass has to offer. FYI- a great restaurant 10 minutes away called Rivers edge. A very delightful and relaxing couple of days.

First, they did an excellent job caring for our safety, and the set up everyday was beyond what we do at home. We got to a lunch spot and they'd have chairs set up, a full and plentiful spread with choices for gluten free or even just the more picky eaters. Dinners were delicious and they even had dessert every night. They were clean when preparing food, washing their hands often. Of and the first day, they noticed that we were early risers and offered to have coffee earlier if we wanted. The equipment was good, I can't compare to anything since this was my first rafting experience but there were no issues along the way. The duckies were a kick and Drew was careful to give detailed explanations on maneuvering the rapids (although I didn't follow them well, I was still okay). They also brought a ton of water and kept it cool, we could add Gatorade as we wished. 100% A+

Booking the trip was relatively straightforward, but Morrisons highly encouraged us to do trip insurance because they don't offer refunds, which should've been the first red flag. Before I go too far, I do want to give a huge shout out to our guides Drew, Adam, and Johnny. They were amazing, and if I were rating just them, this review would be 5++ stars. They were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cared about us and our hike. The rest of the Morrison's staff...not so much. There was an active wildfire in the area before we started the hike. We talked to Morrison's several times in the days leading up to the trip (before we flew out) and even asked about rebooking the trip for a different time, when the forest in the area wasn't on fire. We were assured that even though they were planning a few modifications to our itinerary (i.e. at least one day of rafting instead of hiking), they were confident that it would be a wonderful trip. Fast forward to the end of day 2 of our trip...and they had to cancel the rest of the 4-day hike due to safety concerns and, ultimately, a mandatory evacuation. To be clear, I'm not upset that we were pulled out of the woods, as that was an obvious safety decision. I'm mad because we specifically asked about rebooking for different dates and were told no. Morrison's got us back to their main lodge the following morning, at which point they considered themselves done with us. There was no refund, no help finding rooms for the night, and the last lodge we were in literally wouldn't even let us use the bathroom in the hour we were waiting for vans to get us back to safety. Morrison's did at least send us all an official email about the trip cancellation so that we could share that with our travel insurance (if we'd purchased it) to try to get a refund, but that was about it. Morrisons also made the guides tell us, rather than having anyone higher up in the company talk to us. From what we can tell, they also didn't do anything to help their guides (e.g. helping them find lodging) once the trip was canceled. I will also add that I'm vegetarian, and although there was a lot of very tasty vegetarian food available, vegetarian protein was extremely scarce. For dinner the two nights we hiked (~9 mi on day 1 and 15 mi on day 2), there was no source of vegetarian protein for me to eat. (The gluten free and dairy free people fared much better.) It would've been so easy to roast a portobello mushroom the way they roasted salmon, or to do some kind of meat substitute when they did ribs (they did have meat substitute at the lunches, and eggs or veggie patties at breakfast). I had brought some protein powder with me, but not enough to make up for dinners without protein. My friends ended up giving me the protein bars they'd brought for themselves to try to make up for the dinners. To Morrison's: please consider all macronutrients (carbs, fat, AND protein) when planning meals for your guests! Overall, I would absolutely go back to the river with any of the guides, but I'll never use Morrisons again, and I recommend that you don't either.

My wife and I stayed here recently and its a very clean park, with friendly and quiet neighbors…read more It has full hookups and the sites are spacious. However, I must forewarn you. The park is positioned right next to the freeway and the on ramp. The noise was unbearable for me especially trying to sleep at night. The first night allowed me no sleep, because the freeway and on ramp is SOOOO loud. I wised up the second night and used ear plugs, and that was the only way I was able to get sleep. And forget about sitting outside under your Awning sipping on a cold one trying to have a conversation with your loved one. You will find yourself indoors soon. I don't know why they did not install a sound wall, it makes no sense. If you're looking for a more quiet campground with hookups, consider Valley of the Rogue state park. It's set back farther from the freeway, they have trees and a mound as a noise barrier, and it really makes a difference. But, besides the noise issue, Rockpoint is a really nice park. Just come prepared.
