I will give this place a 5-star ranking for their food. My wife has a salmon spinach salad that was fantastic. I had pan-seared halibut on orzo with carrots & greens drizzled with a pesto. Seriously cute, quaint, modern, clean, and pleasant experience. The food was delicious. The appetizers were fun (crispy beef nuggets) and the entrées were full of flavour. A surprising gem in Golden! My boyfriend ate here while on a ski trip to Revelstoke and Kickinghorse. Our expectations weren't that high, but they were greatly exceeded, both in service and quality of food. Stephanie, our server, told us she has worked here for 8 years now (her winter snowboard bum job) and that a new owner had upped the quality of food and the chef is a Golden native who is passionate about local food and good presentation. We started with the mussels in a white wine cream sauce--fresh and fabulous. We shared the mac & cheese and the chick pea shepherd's pie (apres-ski comfort food at it's finest). The mac & cheese was rich and creamy as it should be, and the warm spices in the pie contrasted perfectly with the sweetness of the sweet potato topping. The bistro greens were bright and fresh. Chanced in this gem last night with my family. Fresh well presented food. My husband And I had fish and could have had 2 portions. It was delicious. This place is amazing! I loved my cocktail-the Blackberry Sage Smash was delish. Caesar Sunday was spot on if you order the Whitetooth Caesar. The Bacon Caesar was too bacon-ey, even for a bacon lover. On Sundays, they have 2 for 1 appetizers, which are a bangin deal. Not your typical apps. We ate duck confit ricotta gnocchi, beef brisket sliders and mussels. Cool art and cozy booths make this a great spot for a double date! read more

We stopped here on a road trip from Ontario. The place was crowded for Sunday brunch, but the service was quick, efficient and knowledgable. Lots of imaginative dishes on the menu. We had huevos rancheros and a smoked salmon omlette. Both were excellent. Next trip I hope to try the salmon hash. read more

We were a party of two and went at about 7:30 PM on the Friday night of Labour Day Long weekend. We were seated immediately by a very nice waitress. We had a Argentinean and Californian by the glass and both were very good. For mains we had the sirloin and porkchop. The sirloin was supposed to be medium-rare but came out medium-well which was disappointing. The meat was however a decent quality and was flavourfull. The porkchops were very good. The servers were working very hard as the place had every table full for the entire time we were there. There wasn't a line-up but as a table left a new one would arrive. Once we were done the server came quickly to take our credit card and eventhough it doesn't say it on the door they did take our American Express card which was a pleasent surprise. Very welcome stop in golden. Our server was fantastic. The kids meals were great with fruit and veggies and were well received. Nice ambiance. The works burger was impressive. Very flavourful. The side salad was not the typical half effort that sometimes we see with side salads. The quinoa salad was good, though the beat salad that rolled by looked very yummy. Prices were reasonable. Had chicken wings, which were drumsticks marinated and quickly fried drizzled with brown sauce, tender and delicious. Also had balsamic beef salad, it was served with two pieces of sirloin, both the meat and veggies is almost cooked to perfection. Had their gourmet burger along with creamy mushroom soup, also delicious. Their mussels was just average, I would highly recommend their version of chicken wings and the beef salad, definitely a surprise to find this level of food in a small town. We've been coming here for at least 4 years as Golden is our overnight stop on our roadtrip home at Christmas time. Wonderful food and atmosphere everytime, and this is one of the few places you can get Okanagan Springs Black Lager on tap. Yum! Wish they still had the Elk Casoulet on the menu but my husband always gets the bison meatloaf which is his favourite. Tonight we had pear-ginger martinis to start and they were delicious! Excellent food but the service was a bit slow. We were impressed with the quality and presentation of every dish, however they could definitely use a couple more servers as they were obviously under-staffed. It's mostly American / Canadian fare with a subtle touch of asian-inspired fusion. I'm not usually a fan of fusion food since I prefer authenticity but the chef at Whitetooth managed to execute it tastefully, without being pretentious. Would recommend if you're looking for a classy place to eat in Golden at a very good value. It's not a big place so reservations are probably a good idea for peak season weekends. read more

We came here for lunch on our last day in Golden, and the food was great! Got to sit outside at their quiet patio deck upstairs (overlooks peaceful river and has fire pit tables!). Our server was busy running around alone (up & downstairs - bless her). I had the chicken sandwich with greens, and my fiance had a steak sandwich. After a morning of ATVs, our guide directed us the the Whitetooth Mountain Bistro. This place was perfect. The staff was super friendly. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the music from the next door bar. The had a great brunch of eggs, pancakes, fruit and a salad. The location is perfect for people watching. Also, it is surrounded by little gift shops for trinkets to take home. I adore this city. We will definitely be back on our next visit! read more

This was my second visit here. The first time was 2 years ago for a good breakfast, but this time was for dinner. Both times I was exploring all the parks in the area. In both cases, the service was excellent-very hard working and friendly staff. The breakfast was very delicious, but the dinner was superb. I had the Mac and cheese and loved every morsel of it. My friend had the "Big Deal" burger, and let me just say, it was a big deal of deliciousness. We couldn't decide who had the better meal. They also have great deserts. If you are driving Highway 1 be sure to stop here for a meal. read more

Had sandwiches here on two successive days, although the word "sandwich" really doesn't do justice to these delicious concoctions. Tuna (the real thing) and perfectly prepared steak. Definitively not impressed at our last visit. The food has gone downhill here since my last visit. The Service was good and I have no complaints there. The baked mac and cheese which sounded amazing on the menu was very poorly executed. The "cheese" tasted like it was basically Alfredo sauce right out of a jar from the local supermarket. The worst part was the cubes of prosciutto (or whatever kind of meat it was)... they were extremely chewy and totally inedible. We stopped by for a pre-ski Breakfast treat. The lady who served us was not supposed to be working until 10am. There was a table of about 12 people so she scooted over to see if we were ready to order so as to get our order in before the big table of folk who were on a different schedule. She was polite, friendly helpful and went the extra step to make sure we were looked after. So unusual in this day and age. An absolute pleasure. this place is spectacular. we were basically staying in the middle of nowhere and found this bistro. food is competitive with the foodiest places in any big city. ingredient quality is excellent, flavors yummmm and everything extremely well executed. my glass of wine was great too. super impressed by the caliber of food at this place. very nice and prompt service too. salad was maybe tad overpriced but entrees were spot on. read more
