Awesome lunch with spectacular view! Had the lobster roll on romaine instead of bread which was just right. You could taste the flavors of lobster, avocado, and the little sauce they had dolloped on the side. Hubby had table side Caesar which was beautifully done by Emilio. And the Montreal Chicken that had a tangy, unusual (in a good way) flavor. Had the peach dessert- also nice and bonus points for them offering fresh brewed iced tea. Our waitress Gabby had a sparkly, lovely personality and took great care of us. Highly recommend going here for lunch if nothing else!
Amazing view of Lake Louise that is the main appeal here the food is pretty good all the little bit expensive. The staff is very friendly and very talkative and very helpful to your experience around Calgary and Banff and that general part of Canada.
Our last night at the Fairmont I brought the family (all adults) here for dinner. I had looked at the menu on Yelp prior, but this particular night it was a pre-set menu for $110. Several of us got the French Onion soup, which was great. For a main course I had the steak, which was fantastic. And for dessert we were all stuffed and got them to go. My cheesecake was very good later that night. Super service and the view was unmatched.
This was truly a wonderful place for another one of our late dinners. We had come back from a day of touring and landed here for dinner. This is a nice-simple menu with something for everyone and not an over the top amount of choices. For this reason ordering was simple and our dinner (see attached photos) was wonderful. We were lucky enough to be able to eat outside in the heated dining area. This alone made this experience a once of a life time. Can you imagine sitting for dinner while overlooking Lake Louise. (Again, see attached pictures.) As the sun sets, the view keeps changing which is why I spent half my time eating and the other half taking pictures. We had a pretty wide variety of food and I will say that everyone found it fresh and tasty. People in our group enjoyed the great steak, chicken, and I always love the fish and chip which I seemed to have a lot of while on this journey. The Warm Peach Strudel was the perfect way to end this perfect meal. The service was amazing and our waitress was just fantastic. The was the perfect model meal... KUDOs to the team at the Lakeview Lounge.
Amazing food at the Lakeview Lounge. We booked ahead for dinner. They have patio seating too which is good to sit during the day to look at the amazing view of lake louise. The food was good but the Salmon was little dry for our taste. Service is prompt and our waiter took time to explain the menu. They have great wine selection and a full bar.
We went here to celebrate a special occasion and we had a great experience! Our window seat had a perfect view, and our waitress was so kind and friendly. The AAA Alberta beef was incredibly tender and juicy. Alberta really knows its beef! The chicken was unfortunately a bit dry, but the Caesar salad definitely made up for it. Watching them prepare the salad at our table was a big plus. Absolutely recommend this place for special occasions or a memorable meal with stunning views!
We enjoyed a nice lunch at Lakeview Lounge, located at Lake Louise. It had awesome views of the lake and mountains. Entrees hover around $50 CAD. We had Walleye Fish and Chips and Alberta Beef French Dip. Both dishes came with a side salad and were pretty good. Service was prompt and friendly. You're basically paying for the views and some peace and quiet from the throngs of tour taking pictures along the shoreline.
We came up with a plan to easily park and visit Lake Louise, dine at a restaurant in the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. It was not an inexpensive idea but we also had a nice lunch. Our plan worked. We made reservations at Lakeview Lounge, which allowed us to drive in and use valet parking. It also gave us access to the inside of the Fairmont, they don't let just anyone walk in. We were still limited on where we could go but it was cool to move around inside. Time for lunch we were led to a table with a large window overlooking the lake. What a view. This was not a quick meal and we didn't want it quick as we waited out some rainy weather. For my meal I had the AAA Alberta Beef Striploin with shoestring potatoes, an excellent meal that included a salad. The shoestring potatoes were of course thin cut fries. The dish included cowboy butter and au jus, the butter adding seasoning and the generous amount of au jus worked great with both the steak and the fries. Once we finished we still had access to the 'backyard' of the Fairmont until we left the property and joined the swarm of tourists taking photos. We fit right in.
We had two meals here. Ambiance and Comfort So our first time coming here, my husband was seated with his back to the window and facing the jewelry store. The light from the jewelry store was shining in his eyes the whole dinner. The ambiance is not very pleasant, because there is music playing in the overhead speaker which is very loud and not very classy. I think there was a break in the music and I was able to actually follow the conversation. There is a grand piano in the "hall", but in the three days we were there, no one played it. It would have added a nice touch to meal times. Server Both of our servers were friendly and professional. I don't think just anyone can be waitstaff here. The server was very helpful and got me some veggies to replace the chips/fries. I was crossing my fingers that I wouldn't just get more side salad, so I was very happy to get some broccolini and carrots, which was actually better than the fish. Food Walleye Fish & Chips (G) (D) | $47 prosecco batter, garlic & rosemary salt, summer green salad, dill pickle tartar -Three of us ordered the fish and chips. I chose fish and chips because nothing else really appealed to me. I liked the presentation - the newspaper article is entertaining. The fish is OK and the fries had a nice presentation. I was looking forward to the rosemary salt, but none of us could taste it. I don't think it was actually included. 12-Hour Smoked AAA Alberta Beef Brisket French Dip (D) (G) | $48 gruyère cheese, crispy sweet onion, homemade sourdough baguette, dijonnaise, au jus -"Pretty tasty" Chili Crab Ravioli (G) (S) (P) (N) | $49 rosé butter sauce, herb crumbs, crème fraîche, nduja crumble, pistachio -This was ordered twice by my party Spaghetti Squash (G) (V) | $42 tomato fondu, tofu croutons, beluga lentil, basil & pistachio pistou -I originally thought this was spaghetti, but I was able to try it on our second meal. It was so good, we have been trying to replicate it at home. The Scotch Egg (G) (P) | $26 fennel sausage, hot mustard emulsion -This was part of my second meal. I never had a Scotch Egg before. It does NOT look like the pictures on google. It was pretty good and it had good presentation. Lakeview Salad (D) (N) (VEG) | $24 Alberta-grown organic greens & herbs, dried mulberries, hemp seed, quinoa, pumpkin seed, whipped feta, sumac cranberry dressing -This was the other half of my second meal. It did look kinda boring, but it was actually interesting! I liked the dried mulberries and the whipped feta. So addicting! Desserts We had all of them. We were celebrating my husband's parents' 45th anniversary. 45 years ago, they had a meal at the Lakeview Lounge and 45 years later, the whole staff and the Concierge team and pretty much everyone was helpful in making this a very special trip. They treated us to several desserts. My favorite was the warm peach strudel, because of its interesting presentation and different textures. Although, at the moment, I see Lemon Meringue Tart, Nutella, and Passionfruit Eclair which makes me want to go back now before the menu changes again! Just when I leave Canada, they pull out the passionfruit.
So most people come here for the fantastic views - and the huge expansive views of Lake Louise are enough to draw tons of folks here. However, the service is excellent too, waitstaff very knowledgeable, and best of all, the food is _excellent_. I had a cottage pie with bison stew. WOW. It looks small but is actually more than it looks. The mashed potato. Wow. It was sooo fine and smooth and buttery. Amongst the best I've ever had. Bison was very tender. Every bite was just sumptuous perfection. I also had a dessert, the meringue lemon tart. Really really good. Just amazingly well done. I normally don't give out five stars for fancy places but here, the food, views and service are all top notch.
We came here for a nice sitdown lunch while visiting Lake Louise for the afternoon. The view of the lake was spectacular. Try to sit on the patio if the weather is amenable. The service provided by AJ was excellent- very prompt, friendly and accommodating. The lunch salads were very tasty and well-prepared. We appreciated the complimentary sorbet for dessert, for our special occasion. Overall a very elegant lunch venue with great food and service.
We stopped at the Lakeview Lounge for lunch after hiking Lake Louise and were seated immediately by a window, as the restaurant wasn't too busy. It was a lovely experience to enjoy a meal with such a breathtaking view of the mountains. The food was good--though on the pricier side, with fish and chips costing around $40. Unfortunately, the service left something to be desired. After our meals were served, the waitstaff didn't return until we requested the bill, which then took about 20 minutes to arrive.

dining at lakeview lounge was truly a stellar experience. being seated at the famous window table with an unobstructed view of lake louise and the surrounding mountains made the evening so special. our waiter, will, provided outstanding service throughout the meal. he was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable our 3 course meal was beautifully presented from start to finish. the french onion soup was fragrant with caramelized onions, and the toasted cheese bread was so yummy. the shrimp cocktail was super fresh and plump. for the entrees, the salmon, striploin, and bbq elk were all tender and juicy. the sauces and seasonings highlighted the quality of the ingredients rather than overpowering them. dessert was the perfect ending. the carrot colada was unbelievably moist with a light, fluffy exterior, while the bright tropical fruit flavors kept it refreshing instead of overly rich. the strawberry veuve clicquot was also amazing with silky, smooth mousse between the breathtaking views, impeccable service, and thoughtfully executed dishes, this was a dining experience ill remember for a very long time! read more
The view is totally worth the price you pay for it :) the name does justice to this place. The food is expensive - and tasty :) you are splurging for the location and amazing service. We had the lobster roll (not enough chunks and bread was not warm by the time I got it), Alberta steak (super tasty!), burrata and seafood salad were ok. The drinks were very unique- I would come back for drinks and appetizers next time. The view - sigh - one could just sit there and reflect on life and enjoy what nature has to offer us. We visited Lakeview Lounge for a late lunch and it was a pleasant experience. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but the staff were able to accommodate and seat us soon after checking in. I'd recommend making a reservation at least 60 days in advance. I will say the views of Lake Louise from the restaurant are quite lovely. We were seated inside and it was cozy and comfortable. Customer service was excellent, our server, Joe was absolutely wonderful. Joe was very friendly and was able to help us out with our questions, deciding on entrees to order and he checked in occasionally during our lunch. The lunch menu has a fair amount of options for starters and entrees. I was curious about the pasta dish, but thought the cost was a bit high. I ordered the rotisserie chicken and caesar salad (which is made at your table) and it was good. I was not a fan of the seasoning of the chicken but the salad was great. My mom had ordered the fish and chips and was impressed with the portions and the texture and flavor. She enjoyed her entree along with a french onion soup. We also split a key lime tart, which was a good balance of sweet and tart. Overall, a great meal and dining experience. I'd recommend visiting Lakeview Lounge if you're interested in enjoying a delicious, memorable meal with scenic views. read more

Beautiful view of the lake from center part of the lounge which I fortunately secured! View was definitively priceless from our vantage point- and whole point of reserving a table here. Food I had was fresh & tasty but understandably a bit pricey for the amount of greens in that salad plate with a fresh water cold lobster tail! It was a bit light for lunch but I was okay with it having had sausage & eggs at breakfast! Service was adequate and professional but the reception excellently obliged us to a great table so I have no complaints... read more

Came here to celebrate with my husband. I made a reservation via open table. The waiter and staff were wonderful. I forgot our waiter's name, but she was so attentive, sweet, and kind. She recommended a few spots to visit in the area. We sat next to the window with the view of the lake. The food portions were large. I came for the ambiance and not for the food. The ambiance was perfection. The drinks were really good. I really enjoyed my time here. I will definitely come back. read more

My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary! First, we had what was undeniably the most amazing seat in the house! A fantastic view of the mountains and Lake Louise made the whole dining experience that much more memorable! The most gracious Chahat elevated our experience, and our anniversary with Presco and dessert, and entertained us with the art of preparing a delicious Caesar salad! read more

Atmosphere: 5 Location: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Customer Service: 4 Affordability: 5 Quality of food and beverages: 4 We visited the Lake Louise area on Tuesday and decided to try this lounge for a drink and light snack. Upon our arrival we noticed there was a wait for a table, because this lounge is popular for their views of Lake Louise. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our drinks came out very quickly, but the soup that we ordered seemed to take like 20 minutes. The quality of the soup and our cocktails were great. We did think that most of their menu options were very overpriced, so we gave them a 4 rating because the price didn't match the portions. But the atmosphere was very relaxing and we were able to get out of the weather for a while. Yes indeed I would try them again! @glampedlife read more
Gorgeous view, great service and good food! Tip: make reservation for the restaurant so it can park for Lake Louis at the hotel instead of fight the crowd of public parking. Very close in price but much closer to the lake than the other public parking spots. We spend about 5 years at the lake. Breakfast, walk, and lunch before we left. read more
We sat outside and the view was stunning since it's right in front of Lake Louise. Although the ambiance was great, the food was not so great and is expensive. We got french fries with garlic aioli, potato bread, homemade bison ravioli, and pistachio crusted sockeye salmon & tiger prawn fried rice. The french fries was eh but the garlic aioli was good. The potato bread was a disappointment, it was cold and hard lol. The bison ravioli was just okay, hubby said it tasted like mashed bison inside the ravioli. The fried rice was alright, the green curry broth had a nice kick to it but the dish wasn't anything special. Food was expensive and isn't worth it. Stars mainly for the view but food and service were not great. You're really just paying for the view in my opinion lol read more
We did a walk in around 2pm and wanted a seat outdoor, but were told the wait was apparently longer, so after 20 minutes of waiting, we opted to be seated indoor instead. On our way to the table, we noticed there were a couple of empty tables outdoor. Maybe it was a staffing issue as to why we couldn't be seated out there? Not sure. Anywho we ordered the beef dip ($29) and bison ravioli ($29). The beef dip was quite lackluster and dry. The au jus didn't have much flavor either. The bison ravioli was served with a pink sauce and was decent. Overall the meal wasn't memorable and a bit expensive. Our server was kind and attentive. read more

4.5 stars I had planned for a special first dinner in Lake Louise a couple of days after my husband's birthday. Although we were not staying at the hotel, they generously gave us an exception and allowed us to have dinner there. This was because we would be staying at their sister resort. Dinner was excellent, from the perfect service to the delicious food. We each had the three course dinner. My husband and daughter both enjoyed the gazpacho, steak and sorbet. I really enjoyed the hazelnut and ricotta cheese, bacon wrapped cod and the chocolate bar. It was pouring rain, but even then there were still a few people sitting on the patio. I didn't realize based on pictures here on Yelp, that some of the view would be obscured by patio. I had really wanted that window framed snapshot for our memories. I think that the other restaurant, Fairview, might be better for unobscured photos. All around, pretty terrific. read more

The view was breathtaking!!! Very accommodating. We had reservation inside the resto but they were able to grant our request to be seated outside. It was cold but they have heaters. The food was delicious and didn't mind the price. I ordered the elk ribs and my wife ordered the chili crab ravioli. Our friends ordered their fish and chips, brisket and steak. All enjoyed it!!! So this place is a bit pricey, but given the location and the need to bring in all the food and supplies from outside, it is both understandable and as reasonably priced as any other place in walking distance. Teresa the person who seated us was under great stress at dinner as EVERYONE wanted a table at dinner facing the lake. Some were quite rude about it as well. I recommend putting your name in and having a drink in the lounge. I was pleased at the selection of beer on tap and the service staff: all young people from abroad with a outgoing personalities and customer focus. They were out of the smoked salmon so I went for the salmon dinner. It was a good portion and not overcooked. My gluten-intolerant wife ordered the burger and they offered the choice of gluten-free rolls or a lettuce ERS. She was pleased with the lettuce wrap and fries. read more

Great restaurant with good food within the Fairmount hotel in Lake Louise. My family and I were seated on an enclosed patio with great views of the lake! I ordered the Mezza Vegan Bowl. It was about a 3.5/5, needed a bit more flavor but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Customer service from the hostess to the waitress was great. Highly recommend when visiting Lake Louise. read more

Was sat at a window table, which offered a spectacular view of lake Louis. We ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter, fried calamari and wagyu beef. Everything was executed to profession, from service to platting and dish creativity. The purée for the calamari was amazing and the potato of the wagyu beef dish was stuffed with an avocado purée. Of course, the unbeatable dinner - or in our case, drinks - with a view. Skip parking at the hotel and go down to the general lot. It's an easy and lovely walk up from the lakeside to the hotel, and you can easily find the lounge once you go upstairs. They were so kind to let me bring my dog onto the patio. I was tempted to get the fruits de mer or charcuterie and cheese boards (the former seemed a better deal than the latter, given the price), but we were on our way to a tasting menu. The drinks are surprisingly creative and delicious, and obviously with the prime location, well worth the price. The bartender was very accommodating when I asked for a substitution because I am allergic to rye (but oddly, no other whiskeys!) and even gave us some snacks. We didn't feel hurried or unwelcome as you can be at places like this that seemingly want to move you out for the next, more profitable table. Pricey for what you get. Service was mediocre and food was just okay. They recently changed the evening menu to a set menu. It's a 3 course for $85 a person. I had the summer salad , vegetarian dish, and chocolate cake. read more
