I had an amazing time with Whitewater Adventures. This was honestly one of the most fun and memorable group trips I've done. I went with a group of 10, last July, and it ended up being such a chaotic (in the best way) and bonding experience. We still talk about it to this day. They also offer a group discount, which is worth looking into and made it feel like a really good value for everything included. All of us were first-timers, so we were definitely a little nervous going in, but the staff made it feel really welcoming right away. They gave a quick crash course/overview on how to navigate the water and what to expect, which helped ease a lot of the nerves. I'd say it's very beginner-friendly, just keep in mind it is a Class 2-3 course, so there are still some rocky and more exciting sections. The rafting is self-guided, so there's no guide on your raft, but there is a sweeper raft at the end making sure everyone gets through safely. There was also one section where the rapids got pretty wild, and staff were there helping anyone who got stuck, which I appreciated. Overall, everything felt organized and ran smoothly. We did the 2-day experience, and I'd recommend it if you're comfortable with camping. The overnight stay is outdoors, so just something to keep in mind if you're not used to that. The campsite had a really social vibe with a happy hour, group activities, and just people hanging out, which made it even more fun. The food was honestly better than I expected. We had steak and baked potatoes for dinner, and a breakfast burrito station in the morning. During the rafting, there were also a lot of scenic spots along the way where you could rest and take everything in. I remember passing by what used to be a volcanic site, which was really cool to see. Each raft comes with a waterproof bag for your belongings and lunch, but I'd recommend bringing extra snacks, water or electrolytes, sunscreen, and good water shoes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this for friend groups, especially if it's your first time rafting. It's a great mix of fun, a little bit of challenge, and just a really unique experience. My friends and I are already planning to go again this year.

100% Best time my family and I have had in a long time!! Everything was amazing, The food was delicious and seemed never ending, The black light party was a blast, dancing congo line and all it was so much fun. All of the staff were so sweet and patient with all of us. Thank you so much, we can't wait to do it all over again!!

This was my first time white water rafting and it was so fun. We were well taken care of from our instructors and they cooked us some hearty meals to get us through the day. Made so many new memories here I won't forget.

Booked with a group of 9 and the experience was amazing and smooth! Upon arrival, they take care of your luggage transfer to the bottom of the river, so all you have to do is float down, arrive at camp, set-up, and wait for dinner! Highly recommend the overnight trip. Mark and his team are also super accommodating and bring the absolute best vibes throughout dinner and the day trips. My entire group was a group of beginners and we were worried about there not being a guide on our raft, but the rapids were definitely doable without a guide.

Absolutely love the crew at Whitewater adventures! Mark and his crew always go above and beyond to make every trip special. All you need to bring is your camp gear, and good vibes. They literally handle everything else. Breakfast lunch and dinner all handmade (and really tasty). From steaks, to burgers, to the biggest baked potatoes you've ever seen in your life. When you head out rafting they drive you up to a certain point in the river and give you the rules and regulations, then they hand you a nice packed lunch in a waterproof bag and they send you on your way. The water is mainly calm and chill, and anywhere there are some somewhat hectic rapids they have professional crews to assist and make sure everyone is safe. Make sure to book the extra early day so you can come up for movie night with popcorn and snacks. Extremely family friendly environment, but also great for an adults weekend out. This year will be our third year and we plan to come back plenty more. Thank you guys for hosting the best all inclusive rafting/camping experience around!

This was my third year rafting with White Water Adventures and it was just as amazing as the first! The new hammocks around the campground are such a thoughtful addition--after a long day of rapids and sun, it's the perfect way to relax. The food and atmosphere never disappoint. I always look forward to the Saturday steak dinner, but the appetizers (pictured) are one of my absolute favorites every year. And when the sun goes down, the blacklight bubble party takes the whole experience to another level! 5 out of 5 stars--we will definitely be back next year!

Camping area. By Saturday afternoon this field is full of tents.

Went whitewater rafting this past weekend on Cache Creek River through a volcanic canyon - serious rapids, not a chill float down the river. I HIGHLY recommend this outfit, Whitewater Adventures, they have all the bases covered. This is for the energetic adrenaline junkies, not someone looking for a lazy afternoon on the water. There are mostly Class III and Class II rapids and you're vigorously paddling about 80% of the time. The water is not snowmelt, so is a nice temp. They provide lunch, and if you do the full weekend of two day's rafting, Saturday and Sunday, you camp and they cook all the dinners and breakfasts, plus a black light glow dance party on Saturday night! Stars are also pretty amazing. The most important thing I learned was to go with friends! You'll have a much better time if you already have at least one other partner for your boat, although they do have 3 and 5 people boats, so it's possible to hitch a ride with another group if you're vocal about being a single when they hand out the gear each day.

I've been coming to White Water Adventures for 15 years. It's tradition for me and my friends. The water is exciting, the camp is comfortable, and the staff are super accommodating. This year I brought my 12 yr old along with me and my wife for her first time. Another generation of rafter was born - she loved it!!! Special thank you to mark the owner and all the super hard working staff: Nick, Ant, Natalie, Lis, Darren, and many more . . . . it's you all that make this thing extra special. Thanks for a wild good time year after year

I had the BEST time this weekend as a vip camper! The trip started with a delicious barbecue Friday night, where I got to meet the awesome staff! Then Saturday morning came along and I had the most delicious croissant to fuel a full day of rafting! Mark and the crew gave a great orientation that left me feeling extra prepared for the water! After rafting, I danced all night at the neon party! Sunday, I had a delicious breakfast burrito and headed down the river once more!! Already excited for the next time I can book a Whitewater Adventures trip! Thank you Mark, Darren, Caleb, Natalie, Anthony, Hector, and Nick for an awesome weekend!

Ask the Community - Whitewater Adventures

Looking for a 1/2 day, guided, gentle rafting trip for 4 adults & a service dog. Mon 24 July. I rafted as a child; my relatives have not rafted but do dive. I want to get wet but don't want to be thrown overboard. Coming from Sac. What do you offer?

we went here on July 4th, 1st time and it was super fun. we had taken George it was of level 3 and we had 2 kids 7 years old and they had blast. Our Raft Captain was Rene and he was Knowledgeable and knew the course very well.

What kind of life vests do they use? I was really intoxicated and also broke one of my kneecaps on the river but still didn't drown so I would like to purchase one of my own!

My sister, nephew and I wanted to do Middle Fork this year and I remember it being an adrenaline rush and challenging but so fun- We picked a Tuesday so it was not crowded, but when it ended up being just the three of us in the raft with Juli, I was a little nervous, remembering how intimidating tunnel chute was- and I didn't have the security of a full raft of people to weigh down the raft and help paddle to build up speed. This just goes to show you how important a seasoned veteran rafting guide is Juli was amazing. He gave clear instructions, he was very calm, and he managed the raft like a pro. No no flipping over and no one fell out. So exciting! Now I want to go to Costa Rica and look up Whitewater excitement there and request Juli. Hope to do this at least one more time this year. If I lived closer, I would go more often. Ps- I read some people complaining that you have to pitch in to carry the raft from the water up to the trucks and from the trucks down to the water, I've only been with one company that did not ask you to do that. All the rest have always had the rafters help out in pitch-in.

We did a two day south fork trip, with a stop for the night on the river bank. Our guide Cryin' Bryan(just kidding Brian!!) and bonus gear guy Gator, were absolutely amazing. The were kind, helpful, had the best stories and cooked the best food. We did 21 miles of river over two days and it was unbelievable. Things we learned on this trip... -Gator taught me how to make a camping mocha(more like chocolate coffee when I made it!) with instant cocoa mix, coffee, creamer and water. -A tortilla wrap with PB&J and trail mix is the thing of dreams. -The front right seat of the raft is the 'hot' seat(or wet seat) and you will get hammered repeatedly. Haha. -Camping on the side of the river is magic. Pure. Magic. -Hospital bar has its name for a reason. -Composting toilets in the woods smell like a gerbil cage. -Brian's love of Star Wars and pineapple fried rice lead me to believe we could be real life friends. -You can make lifelong friends out of strangers you meet on a rafting trip. The meals they provided were amazing. Well beyond normal camping fare. For sure a perk with the trip. With things like chicken salad pitas, pancakes, sandwich wraps and fajitas, we were never hungry. We upgraded to the canvas tent they have at the campground for the first night and it was wonderful. The little front porch and getting to hear the river while we slept was magic. The newly upgraded bathrooms were probably the nicest I've seen at a rustic camp ground. The shower stalls are outside, but each one has a locking door with the shower stall and a little changing area with hooks and a bench(and the rain shower heads were great, but know the water pressure isn't the hardest, but not the worst either). When the 'Boss Man' picked us up from the river on the last day, it was really neat to get to chat with him. He asked for anything we think would add to the trip, and the only thing we can think of would be to bring along a yard game for the overnight trips, like ladder-ball or something for on the river. But there is absolutely nothing we would change. Enjoy my million pictures. I really couldn't pick and choose what to show, so I showed it all! We can't wait to go back!!

Lastly the bus to get back went great, but they kind of left us alone right after we got back to camp, even though we had some questions and were going to leave a tip (we left our wallets in the cars).
