I called yesterday about getting an intermediate shaft replaced on my 2006 Pontiac G6. I was given a quote that was about 45% lower than other surrounding shops, so i quickly made an appointment for today. Upon my arrival, i was promptly greeted by someone who was able to check me in and they advised me of the wait time and showed me where the customer waiting area was. The customer waiting area was simply amazing. Comfy couches, satilite TV and even little baskets of candy. I didnt expect something this nice from a local shop, but it was definitely nice to see. During the repair process the mechanics found that my vehicle takes a specialty version if the part that they quoted me for. They brought to my attention that they will need to look for the part and that they suspect it will be a little more expensive than my previous quote. They made me feel comfortable by assuring me that they will not buy the part and install it before getting my approval on the new price. I have been to shops before that have purchased a totally different part and not told me about it until it was time to pay. So their concern with my acceptance of the price was very nice to see. After confirming the new price, they finished the repair about a half hour later. While i was paying for the work rendered, the mechanic that looked at my vehicle gave me additional information about the problem and possible other parts that are not horribly bad but will need to be replaced. It was great to not be pressured to have additional work done. Most other shops wouldve seen the other work and demanded that it be added on. Whitewater Motors did not do that at all. Well, after a few good years, the wife's Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Expedition just wasn't cutting it anymore with those weekly $90 fill-ups. We bought the Expedition after a successful deer hunt with our Escape ended with the insurance adjustor handing us a check. Being a new mommy when that happened, the wife says, "I want a bigger one to be even more safe." Barring the fact that our newborn daughter slept through the entire execution of Bambi's father safely strapped into the carrier in the back seat of the Escape. "Honey, they only make a couple sizes bigger." "Buy it." So, on the recommendation of a mutual friend, we ended up at Whitewater Motors working with Bob Johnson -- a really down-to-earth West-side boy from the Nati. Bob put us into that Expedition painlessly, and did such a fine job I hunted him down to sell it back to him a few days ago. Now that her sensibility has prevailed over her irrational fears of being a new mom.... err... I mean. Hi honey, love you! Have I told you how great of a mom you are to our kids? Anyway... on to 40 MPG goodness with a Huyndai!! Whitewater deals in very clean, late model cars with low mileage, and after the Mrs. spotted a couple of very do-able Korean gas sippers, I rolled into the lot. I walked in the door and told Bob to sell me a car. He did. Got me out of that environmentalist's nightmare of a gas hog in about 45 minutes flat. Done deal. I can't recommend these guys enough. It's a little out of the way, and you will have the destination tax issues transferring across state lines. I bought a 2012 Volkswagen Tiaguan ( my 5th car from here ) back on AUGUST 15, It only had one key/remote when I bought it and they said they would get me a spare key made if I came back on AUG. 20TH whereupon the key maker said he had to order a blank and it would take approx. 10 days , so I called last Monday and they told me I would have to bring my car down TUES . SEPT 25TH. I took the car down today and the key maker said he didn't order the key because he couldn't program it . They told me then I would have to take it to Fairfield VW to have a key made, so after three trips to WHITEWATER MOTORS and five weeks later I AM BACK TO SQUARE ONE, still no spare key. We had been to numerous other car dealers before being referred to Whitewater Motors by our bank and a neighbor, so our ability to compare was real and current.... there is no comparison. From the initial handshake with Whitewater Motors salesperson, Jeremy Howard, to the final signing of paperwork.... you are working with one person...Jeremy. The experience with other dealers was just the opposite.... salesperson, hand off to finance person, hand off to sales manager, hand off to the final closing person...it simply could not be more uncomfortable....almost like a planned sequence to add confusion and pressure. Not only were Whitewater Motors personnel friendly and knowledgable, the selection of pre-owned vehicles was incredible....from cars to trucks and golf carts, all seemed to be validated and completely checked out before being put on the sales lot. It comes that time when the wife needed a new car to haul the kids around to and from dance, soccer, Girl Scouts, school, swimming, cooking classes, tutoring, and probably a few I don't know about. So we stopped into Whitewater Motors since we bought our previous car from them before, there new location is very nice had a place for our kids to sit and play on there iPads with wifi which entertained them while we looked at cars. My wife wanted a SUV since that is what she had before, I wanted to get her a minivan since their cheaper, better gas mileage, and more practical for a family with kids and we have no need for all wheel/4 wheel drive as we live in the south now. Picked up a 2014 Town and Country loaded: leather, heated seats front and back, heated steering wheel, entertainment for the kids, and tons of safety features for a great price. The sales staff was very helpful and not pushy at all which is a requirement for when I buy anything I don't play that game. They figured out all the sales tax stuff and everything I need to register the car in North Carolina which is a lot different that hear in the Midwest.
