Whittington Professional Services with Brandy Whittington in charge are not professionals in any way. Of course a bunch of positive reviews here were misleading for me as well and that is why I hired them. I did not realize that they "know" to do everything and sadly I soon realized that they do not know-they have no clue what they are doing. Positive reviews might have come from very simple jobs or what I think more of now hearing the horror stories from licensed tile people in the area who go to repair Whittington's wrongdoing - I suspect that those reviews are not even genuine. My experience is that Brandy Whittington and her team are incompetent and not qualified to do any services that they are offering to do. They fraudulently do a license requiring work without the license, so the most of their work is for the sheriff's office submission and financial fines if not more than that. Hiring them is just a burden on your budget and a big waste of money. They have the same approach for everyone starting the job and then disappearing with a bunch of excuses involving their private life stuff to ignite our compassion and understanding for their unexplainable delays while playing the game with us. They have no work ethics. I hired them to do the tile work for me in 2 bathrooms and on my fireplace and bathroom fixtures on my shower. All 3 are total disasters including the shower, that even my cleaning team when they came said that it was the most horrible tiling job they have ever seen. We had to put the bathroom out of use for my guests due to their failure. I gave Brandy Whittington another chance to redo only the bathroom wall as a test and besides failing for the second time to do the work-she broke my brand new tub on top of all the poor workmanship. I had to fire her and her team and they did not even bother to show up and check what was wrong with it. My friend who's a tile expert in another state kept telling me that every picture with updates I sent him looked like they had no clue what they were doing. I brought an inspector to my place when I fired Brandy Whittington's team and he said that their work is a teardown. Not to mention that they spent 4 weeks doing it. While the licensed team was demolishing Whittington Professional Services work in my bathrooms, they said that tiles Brandy installed would all fail and get wet very soon as it didn't have proper waterproofing and gluing. Every single step they did was showing the depth of their cluelessness about the job. My fully licensed team that redid the bathroom was done with everything in 3 days. If you want to risk your investment to fail right away-they are perfect for it. They pretend they do know everything, but in truth I haven't seen anything they have done to be worth even a penny. I am not done with them yet as I do not want them to be able to scam other honest people around ever again. They should face criminal charges in the court of justice according to the Section 7027.2 of a Business and Professions Code. I just found out that another victim of their negligence reported them to BBB due to the deck failing after Whittington Professional Services installed it. My elderly father was ripped off for 100k from Whittington Professional Services, Tim and Brandi Whittington of Twain Harte, Ca. They lied to my sick, elderly father, told him they finished a small renovation in his family vacation home that would have cost only 30k. They destroyed our cabin, lived in it illegally from Dec. 1, 2022 to May 26, 2023, stole all our tools, TVs and left all our cabin exposed to the elements with the roof off for a month. My father paid them for removing garbage from squatters who broke into his place in Sept. 2022. Tim and Brandi Whittington lied to my dad saying they removed all the drug needles, drug garbage that were left on our property from squatters. When my father and I arrived at our cabin on May 26, 2023 we found the place filthy, and the garbage that he paid them to take away with the drug needles sat in our cabin since Jan. 2022. The place was disgusting and the so called "construction" was more like destruction. They owe my father 100k plus the water damage they cause from exposing our home to the very wet winter. Destroyed all our plumbing on the roof leaving gaping holes in the roof and exposing the house. Lied to my father to make fake unnecessary renovations for work not needed. It is absolutely sickening what we have gone through. We will sue them, for trespassing, grand theft, vandalism, fraud. Please beware of these criminals. Well we hired this company to remove a tree, fix a deck and rebuild our pond/waterfall after it was damaged from a tree falling. After getting their bid, even though it was a little higher than others, we decided to go with them because they seemed like they could handle all the work. We saw they were unlicensed but they seemed to know what they were talking about so we went ahead with them. The tree removal went great. The deck work had a few snags, and they had to re do it a few times, but in the end that came out good. Then came our pond. Long story short....before they "fixed" the pond, it was running fine and the waterfall was working great and there were no leaks. Now that they have been out at least 4-5 times to try and make it right, the end result is a pond that leaks, now won't hold water AND they ruined the skimmer and pump box. We figured after 4-5 times letting them come out to rectify the problem was more than enough. If they knew how to fix it, wouldn't then have by now? We made the mistake of feeling sorry for them when they asked us to pay the almost $4000 for the pond work before we could leak test it. They said they needed the money to pay their workers and they would come back to fix anything if need be. Against our better judgment we paid them on 2/5/22. Here we are in almost April and still don't have a working pond AND have to pay someone to redo it all plus the damage they caused. We tried to reach them last week and they were ignoring us, then they finally got back to us to say that now they think the box is leaking. If the box was leaking why didn't they put that in the original bid or tell us before this? The reason is because it was working fine and they knew that. We all know for sure the box was fine before their work- it was working fine. I have videos of it working even with the tree uprooted in the pond. Now they have ruined the box because they put a bunch of glue type stuff over the skimmer screws to "fix the leak" and now even a new liner would not attach to it. So we are actually way worse off then when this job started and have to pay to repair and replace what they did. They also re did a rock wall along that was storm damaged. The wall looks like a 5 year old put it together and needs to be redone. Cracked rocks, glued in rocks, mortar and cement flaking off. It looks nothing like the part of the wall they were supposed to be trying to match. Mistakes can happen, but it's how you handle them that matters. I own 2 businesses myself and would have NEVER treated a customer like this. After all this happened we were talking to a neighbor who use them for some work and they didn't finish their job either. I wish we knew all this before we hired them. We now have to file a dispute with our credit card company to resolve this. When we asked for a refund they would not even consider it. Then they said if I buy a new box they would install it (but they ruined the box), then she said she won't and that she was just being "nice". AND now a new liner will be needed either way because they used so much glue on the box that the old liner would not even reach the skimmer flap at this point. So bottom line is we are in way worse shape than when they started and now have to pay again to have all the work redone and additional work because of stuff they damaged. If you need a tree taken down they are probably OK for something like that-- but if you need anything more detailed done I would be super careful or look elsewhere. read more

We got 5 bids, three very overpriced franchises out of Sacramento, one local guy who had no references and finally Whittington. They are local out of Twain Harte. Brandy and Tim are a great team. Tim is a Marine veteran with a can do spirit, Brandy has pipefitting and tile skills and seemed knowledgeable on all aspects of the job. On 3/26/22, at our final walk through, all damages and messy work was mentioned, but not resolution. Beware of this company, if you do choose to work with WPS, you will need to keep all of the estimates, because they tried to charge me for hauling the garbage, that was included, in their bid. Whittington Pro Services rescued us from a scammer and provided excellent-timely completed work on our cabin bathroom floor. Scam set-up: We needed bathroom plumbing repair work on our recently bought cabin, which came with a 1 year warranty insurance plan. The warranty company sent a plumbing company tech out, who first fixed the leak in our toilet seal, but then said that the floor was water damaged and moldy, which would require the bathtub/shower and floor to be replaced. The tech took measurements and the owner gave a $5k estimate for floor removal and a new shower/tub unit. Although never meeting him, we fell in love with him over the phone: He was so kind, sympathetic and helpful, and we blindly fell for this verbal quote. A pattern emerged: First, no written contract was ever presented, and shortly giving the verbal go ahead was given, the owner called and said he needed $2500 deposit to help defray the cost of the bathtub/shower combo because it had non-standard measurements and needed to be special ordered. We complied. 2) The contractor called some weeks later, and said the unit was back-ordered, but should be available in a month 3) a month passed and we called and he said, that the day before the unit was being special made and he was going to call us. 4) another month delay, he calls with the same line but offered a special deal-they would install a seat for the bathtub because we were elderly, for $1500.00 more. Realization of being taken: At that last point we finally knew something was not right. While he was up front saying that he was a licensed plumber, he said he was not a licensed in construction, but was studying for the test to take short order. Upon seeing the Yelp reviews of the company we found a battlefield of victims over several years, that were trusting suckers like us, experiencing the same pattern: a warranty company referral, a quick fix combined by an offer to complete work not covered by the warranty company, but with the requirement of money up front, followed by delay tactics. Moreover, from the Yelp review of the work that the owner actually did do, it was substandard, some of it having to be redone, or took over a year to complete, leaving customers with a non-functioning system in the interim. When the customers sought to get their money back, they were met by the company accountant wife, who refused payment for various reasons. In our case, there were no return calls. Once we realized that we were taken, even before trying to get our money back, my wife called Brandy, the manager of Whittington Pro, and explained the above situation to her. That day Brandy, Tim and Tyler came out to assess the situation. Whittington Pro Services to the rescue: Tim said he could test the plumber contractor's claims real quick if he let us open a 2x2 inch hole in the floor. With permission, he quickly concluded that widespread water damage was absent, and was only damp only in spots. In short, the floor and bathtub/shower need not be replaced, and that our unit was standard. In essence, he could do the floor for 30% of what the other plumber demanded. Once we finally decided on the floor tile and purchased it, the job was started and completed promptly in 3 days, Not only that, they demonstrated expertise in customizing and adapting to the 1960's cabin floor settling with serious dimensional changes. All in all, their workmanship and detailing were impeccable, paying very close attention to detail and astetics. It is if we have a totally remodeled bathroom! Whittington Pro Services are now our family cabin's personal on-call physician: While we still remain $2500 short, and may never get it back, the Whittington's professionalism, expertise and ability rescued us from a potential financial and nerve-wracking nightmare from a contractor whose modus operandi exploits un-suspecting warranty customers who trust that they are dealing with a qualified, reputable contractor. We could say that the important lesson we learned from our experience is to assume nothing and always first verify the contractor's reviews. But we also wanted to find a local business that we could work with on a continual basis. Just as one would find a personal physician that truly cares for your well being and has the expertise and acumen to diagnose, treat and cure, we found that Brandy, Tim and Tyler take on a similar role as super handy-techs on behalf of our cabin's long-term care in multiple respects, as cited by their services offered. We plan on several projects in the near future with Whittington Pro Services because they demonstrated excellence, outstanding professionalism, expertise and attention to detail, thereby earning our trust.
