More detail on Dr. Leupnitz can be found by doing a Yelp Search for him (good luck with the spelling!). I am incredibly cynical about supplements. I have found them to be expensive and I rarely find any value from them. That is until I met Dr. Leupnitz (he has a Ph.D., he's not an MD and he doesn't pretend to be). I have had a frustrating number of illnesses over the past year and a half that have had a major impact on my ability to have a normal, active life. I've been seeing an internist for several years and he had been treating me symptomatically while we tried to figure out what was going on. In addition to weird things with my health, my energy levels had dropped significantly which is a huge change for me as I've always been hyperactive and a little ADHD. I went from going at 90 miles an hour to about 2 miles an hour with no answers in sight. Based on my wife's continual prodding (she has taken my daughter to N4H with good results for quite awhile) I decided to bite the bullet and went to see him. I brought blood work and talked through the issues that I was having. He recommended some supplements (which I purchased) but during the interview he told me that my symptoms didn't seem like just illness and asked if I had ever been tested for Epstein Barr. I told him that I didn't know but I would ask my doctor, who I was seeing the next day. On my visit I asked the doctor and he said that I hadn't been tested but that it was a good idea and he would also run a Mono test since it was on the same panel. I told him that I had mono when I was 16 but he said that he wouldn't hurt to test again even though it wasn't likely to be active since I'd already had it. Turns out Leupnitz was correct and I did have a reactivation of the mono virus. Apparently it'srare but not uncommon. Once the doctors understood the issue the treatment plan changed and I've been progressively getting better. I think even stronger now with the N4H supplements that I'm taking. I did have a concern that the supplements that he was recommending were potentially overpriced so I went online to try to buy some of them via the web. It turned out that his pricing was equal to or cheaper than many of the things that I looked at online or at the vitamin store so I've decided to stick with purchasing them through N4H. The only negative about seeing Dr. Leupnitz for consultations is that he takes a lot of time with you (good thing) but it means that he is frequently well behind schedule (not a good thing). While it's a major inconvenience, he is so good at addressing the nutrition and health issues that he still merits 5 stars!

I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and had been dealing with it (and an unsympathetic Gastro Dr.) for about 10 years before I was referred to Dr. L. I was in lots of pain and was malnourished. Dr. L ran several blood tests on me and gave me very detailed and thoughtful information for putting my health back on track. After an improved diet, amazing supplements and a sympathetic ear, I managed to get my health back. I go back to Dr. L periodically to deal with other challenges that come with age and I most certainly send my athletic kids to him so they can optimize their health and nutrition for the benefits of their sports. I will always be grateful to Dr. L and I will always recommend him first when it comes to people looking to take full responsibility for their health and wellness. This man is one of the smartest people I know. He has a heart of gold as well. I simply cannot say enough.

My diagnosis was emotional anorexia brought in by PTSD. My whole self could not distinguish between any of my hurts. My heart was crushed from being traumatically abandoned again in life, my endometriosis was inflamed from the stress, my hunger!; i was on day 17 with virtually no food being able to be consumed. And very little being consumed until Jan 9, 2019. I was a damn hot mess and it all went down the week before Thanksgiving. The busiest season for a hair salon owner/hairstylist. By the time Jan came, i had used every ounce of strength getting my kids through a busy holiday school schedule, salon schedule and keeping up my household with three kids. I weighed 99 pounds!! She's very responsive, easy to talk to, and has a genuine interest in seeing her clients get better. She's keenly observant and adept at connecting the dots. Her judgment is sound. The process she applied was CBT, which is an interactive and challenging treatment. But she never pushed too hard, and made sure I was okay with the pace. She guided me to my own rational conclusions, and knew just when to tell me something I needed to hear. I found myself looking forward to the collaboration. We identified practical exercises to keep me from backsliding into the proverbial abyss. They're working for me. I feel fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Kaitlan, and I'll definitely return if I want to work on other areas. If you're considering seeing her, I believe you will see good results if you put in your share of the effort.

We left a message and were soon called back by a counselor from from the Ceder Park location. This was confusing since they have distinct numbers and we certainly dialed the Round Rock location. We let the counselor know this, but rather than get us back with the Round Rock location, she assured us that the travel time would be nothing. However, she had no idea where exactly we live or what our schedules were like and what constituted "nothing". It really felt like I was talking to a salesman who didn't want to let the commission go. All that aside, we decided to see if we could make it work. We tried shuffling some things around, but ultimately, it was going to be difficult. And to us, we didn't think it would be a big deal getting in contact with someone at the Round Rock location. After letting the counselor know that we were going to need the closer location, she told us she would refer us to someone there. This was several weeks ago and we have yet to hear back. Given the type of service that people are seeking from them, this sort of mishandling borders on malpractice. Even if you manage to get in the door without this blunders we ran into, I doubt that you'd be getting the best service.

The workshops offer fun and creative crafts I haven't seen elsewhere, such as the felt hat making one I attended. It's thanks to Deanna that I discovered the art of needle felting. And that's something she has to offer as an art therapist - a great variety of methods and art-making mediums, so that clients have a free range of choices with which to express themselves. The office is shared with Austin Ashiatsu, and its staff are very friendly and respectful. The two businesses coexist in harmony, allowing for a stress-free environment. I've never had any trouble finding street parking very close to the business. I highly recommend Art Therapy Austin! :)
