But, once you're signed in, they've got all the norm amenities, shower, personal care and hygiene stuff and cubbies for your things. The class itself " sexy sweat" was hard AF but super fun. If you're not used to sexy dancing or dancing in general, it feels sort of strange at first but the moves are fun, the music was great and the workout was killer. My inner thighs and hips hurt for like, two days. It was great. Would like to stop by again but really do enjoy more of a drop in type situation.

The time went faster than I anticipated, I'm less sore than I expected (even after my muscles going to failure a few times), and I'm looking forward to my next class. Yes, parking can be a challenge but it's CapHill... can't really do much about that... the price seems a touch steep ($20 a pop, with the first one free) but the instruction (and I'm sure the results) seem worth it...

I was a member of the Sporting Club which turned into the Cherry Creek Athletic Club ( CCAC) since Apr.1979. I had been the only black female swimmer there for 47 years; well liked ! We were like a family and it was our home away from home! From the moment that Lifetime bought the club in 2019, it was obvious that we seniors Were No longer Welcomed there! They were Catering to a different demographic ; the young, the hip and the heavily tatooed! The manager there walked around the club, her nose in the air....daring any of us ' old people' to ask her a question or make a suggestion! We the seniors, the lifeblood of the previous club had become insignificant! At least three of the older members were suspended for some slight behaviour like talking too loud in the pool! Some of our friends gave up and quit, some died but I was one of the hold outs!!!! I retired 20 years ago and every year I would take a leave from CCAC to spend the winter in the Carrib. ( No Problem). I took such a leave from winter of '24 and to my distress and disbelief, when I returned from my sanctioned leave last June 1st, I was told in no uncertain terms that my membership had been cancelled!!! They said I had to start over As a New member and had to pay an add.$125. The Ass. Manager kindly tried to fix it to No Avail!! I relented and brought in a check for the extra $125. and the front desk clerk, Aaron refused to take it saying rudely....' We don't take checks!' I started crying and I said to him.....' Why am I being treated like this after 47 years?' and I proceeded to walk past him to go to the pool. He tried to block me and in a loud voice said....' I can Stop You from coming in here today!!!!!' I have Never in my life been So Humiliated because there were people milling around in the lobby! Its all on video! I reported him, after I cried for an hour in the pool. He is Still there! I quit the club this year;I cant, in good conscience go back there! I miss my friends there but I have never experienced Racism in my 78 years and not about to condone it!

They still offer the package I got for private Pilates so it wasn't like a special promo they were running... Jen said it was no problem and she would schedule me for my last 2 classes- then radio silence lol. I've sent emails to her, called and left a voicemail, no one ever answers the phone so like I said, not surprised they are closing but it's not a huge loss, plenty of other studios in Denver. I guess what bothered me the most is Jen makes up rules as she goes and doesn't keep her word and tells you what you want to hear to get your money. Oh well, $200 for 1 private Pilates class lol. This is a small-ish studio, with classic and Cadillac reformers, plus they offer mat pilates with "the barrel" also. I enjoy a classic reformer session and am always happy to work in some jump board if it's being offered. The most important thing is stretching out my back and strengthening the core. It helps with posture and overall toning. While I'm not the most fit in the group, I can keep up with the intermediate students. Very wonderful, welcoming studio for experts or first-timers.
