I came here to try the famous berry Chantilly Matcha drink! I got a medium and the drink cost $6.50. And this is with no alternative milk. When the employee gave me the drink, I knew it was going to taste milky. It was one of the palest light green matcha drinks that I have had. It tasted mainly like syrup, and it was too sweet for my taste. I heard that the berry chantilly flavor comes from a strawberry syrup and an almond syrup. I have tried the berry chantilly latte from Whole Foods, and I thought this was good. You can still taste the coffee. But I guess berry chantilly matcha depends on the ratio that your server mixes that day. It almost tasted like cereal milk. I also got some bakery items! They had some 50% off apple and cherry pies. Stopped at Whole Foods Market & picked up some Hot Cross Buns. Was 40% off but when I got to the cashier, they rang up at regular price. The cashier wanted to know if I was a prime customer - what the heck does that have to do with the price of food? Then another staff member walked over with me to check out the sign. Confirms what I told them & says if I wasn't a member it would be 33% off - well neither worked at the checkout. What a freakin joke - they were like nazis watching the henhouse. Left without making the purchase. I won't be shopping Whole Foods ever again. BTW, not many people even know about Hot Cross Buns. I LOVE my Whole Foods!!! I've been to multiple W.Fs all over TX and CA and this is my favorite. The employees are so friendly, almost always smiling and are genuinely helpful. The options for actually "clean" food products has been going up, their grass fed meat options are great and their prices are truly competitive. I price compare every couple of months and have found across the board WFs is cheaper than Kroger, Market Street, Central Market and carries far more options that Walmart does. I love the curbside pick-up option and use it frequently. They are always on time, my order is packaged well and I'm in and out quick. Well, first they make you slice your own bread, without adequate instructions. Now, they move the pizza slices to self-serve status. Which means the slices are being heated throughout the day until they are bought. This makes the slices dry and hard. Prior process was for an employee to heat the slice for a minute or so before you got it. The result was a fresh tasting hot slice. Yet another reduction in customer service by the Amazon behemoth. Ever since Amazon took over, service has gone downhill faster than a runaway roller coaster. Yes, prices are lower, but the service is rapidly becoming Aldi or Walmart level. When I need to order my groceries delivered, & when I include fresh produce , the "fresh" greens I pay for are consistently on the verge of SPOILAGE - like they already smell bad the next morning. ALSO when I order personal sized yogurt with my grocery order, it is frequently SPOILING and goes bad very quickly - tasting off and often molding within a few days. Nope, this place is not happening as of today August 23, 2021! Let me explain. I have not been in a Whole Foods since before the pandemic began and Amazon bought them. So I was anxious to check out the new sit-chee-ation and went to pick up a few specialty items I get there. First of all, there has been new strip buildings constructed next to and around the store. As a result, a once almost vacant easily navigable parking lot was impossible. I persevered and got a space. Once inside the store, everything appeared as it had before. then I started perusing and was shocked at some of the things I encountered. There seemed to be clusters of 2 or 3 employees standing around talking. I didn't think a lot about this for a while. Then I realized these people were training each other and more importantly, training to pull delivery orders. I have no problem with that except: 1) I was looking for something in imparticular and they were in my way2.) They weren't concerned about me finding products as a store customer. They were only concerned with pulling the delivery order. This is when I started getting turned off by the whole thing. So, I started just walking around the store checking it out and saw this happening everywhere! I walked up to the seafood counter and finding a fish I wanted to notice 2 guys talking behind the counter. No offer of help and the guy in front of me also wanting to order. He and I just looked at each other, like what are these people doing. At his point I swung thru the store and decided it wasnt for me. I bought the two items in my basket $10 instead of $100 and left. Now, this is where it really gets good. In the smallish parking lot there were three people loading neatly folded paper sacks that said Whole Foods, in their cars. One guy had a smallish car and three Yes 3 full sized baskets full of these paper sacks. That's when I realized what was happening! I had some trouble jockeying out of the parking space without hitting what ended up being Prime Grocery delivery guys! When I got home I called the store to point out my concerns to the manager. They put me on line with the "Shift Lead" and he proceeded to explain they have no control over the Prime guys! What? Im done with Whole foods!!! Central Market and others are better for my needs anyway. I've not felt this undervalued as a customer in a long time, if ever. Thanks Bezos! read more

Today, I neutrality addressed a mistake that was made and one of the guys kept making snarky comments under their breath. Also, I have half a mind to report what looked like GREYING tuna steaks on display. It was absolutely hours from being inedible. As if their weren't already enough reasons to waste money here, now it's pretty clear they don't care about what their customers want as long as they get your money. My most recent visit left me frustrated after I was presented with an option of an entire cake or no cake, because an associate sitting on her phone in the bakery didn't want to do her job of slicing it. "No I'm sorry. We might have more slices tomorrow!" I was staring at the whole cake in front of me and surprised at her response after asking if she could slice the cake for me since their were no other slices out and available. Seriously just give me a knife and I'll slice it and clean up after myself. I've had a long day and I just want a slice of cake. They're so rude here at Whole Foods and not hospitality oriented at all. At HEB or Central Market this wouldn't have been a factor. Leave those expectations at the door though or just don't come in. Each visit is a pleasant one, and today it was even better than our previous visits. Victoria is an excellent asset to this store, she was our check out gal for today. Her attention to detail was just up to snuff. She was multitasking, checking out our purchases, getting to know us, and bagging our groceries with caution and she is very well coordinated. I would also like to point that this has been the ONLY Wholefoods that offers ice for refrigerated items. Not even in Down Town Chicago, Gold Coast it Streeterville, has this perk. So Kudos to this store for doing this. Especially with the heat beating Texas sun in the summer this will be a great thing. I'm a big Whole Foods fan and have been for quite some time. Even after the Amazon acquisition this location does not disappoint and I honestly saw very little difference in the products, approach, or environment. The staff are incredibly helpful here and always know where I can find vegan choices. The produce is always fresh and the selection fantastic. Always an organic buyer I can find what I want 90% of the time. The bulk dry food options are great and the coffee and tea selection is the best I've seen. I find the best selection of non-dairy ice cream in the freezer section and the vegan cheeses and vegan meats options here are extensive. This is my go-to for vegan yogurt and creamer as well. I have to spend a couple of sentences on the deli area and salad bar because of the tasty options available and the vegan grab and go food. We regularly purchase the vegan "tuna" salad and vegan buffalo "chikn" salad. Yes it is pricey but it is soooo good. The checkout process is always customer centered in my opinion. You get credit for bringing your own bag and now Prime Members get a discount. read more

The wine selection is incredible; it's not that have gigantic selection, it's more so that they have the right wines. Planning a meal here is a pleasure from the perspective of healthy options. Not only is the overall food here healthy and organic, there's always a menu idea you can take advantage of from start to finish to feed your family a no guilt entree. The salad bar here is crazy awesome, I mean you have a selection of most salad items plus hot foods to accompany your salad. The bakery is equally wonderful. Love me some Whole Foods Market! Whenever I "TRY" to eat healthy or at least think that I am, Whole Foods is my go to spot! This location in Fairview, TX is about a 5 min drive from my place which is awesome. The store's layout is just like any other one of their locations, spacious, welcoming and well organized. I generally like to check out the dessert section first lol because who doesn't love some sweetness in their lives! My favorites are their creme brûlée's, cannolis and mini desserts. I get these desserts for my nieces which they really enjoy. Other favs are their soups especially the lobster bisque and clam chowder. Sooo good! The pizza doesn't taste right but I still end up getting it for some reason. As far as groceries, they seem to carry good quality produce but I shop elsewhere. Their prices are reasonably high compared to other competitors but I do like going to WFM for certain things. Checkout lines have improved ever since they added the express lanes. This location has quickly become my very least favorite. The store is filled with contractors pushing/dragging their multiple baskets for deliveries. The masks seem to make them feel invisible and they dart out in front of you and reach around you. I guess social distancing doesn't apply to them. I have been to other grocery stores and they do not have ANY options on expresso beans. This is the only place that has several options other then Amazon. For me that is a win big time! When shopping here one has to remember this is organic foods and they support sellers in the community. If you want to complain about them not having the same items as Tom Thumb,market street,and Kroger then don't shop here. The items here are different and I'm willing to pay for what I feel is s fair price. Whole Foods in Fairview continues to impress. The fresh produce area is just stunning in quality, selection and surprisingly, often in price - items in this department are often quite reasonable. I've also gotten good deals on quality bulk bin items including brown rice and rolled oats. Where things DO start to get a little spendy is at the other end of the store in prepared foods. I recently picked up some blackened chicken salad which was seriously delicious, but wow, it was $11.99 per pound, making even a small container over six bucks. Decided to try their 2 for $24 pizza deal seemed like decent value if the pizzas weren't burned!!! Maybe this guy needs a lesson in how pizza ovens work if you move the pizzas from it's original spot to a different spot in most cases will burn the bottom unless you are cooking many pizzas in that location!!! This location can never keep anything in stock. It's incredible. I can't tell if it's just being poorly managed or what, but there's absolutely no reason for this to be happening right now. It's not Covid and we aren't seeing the supply chain issues we used to. At any given point you can go in the store and entire sections are empty. I do weekly pick up orders, and I can't remember the last time they had everything in stock, even though the item was in stock when I placed the order.
