I recently visited this Aldi for the first time. I'll definitely go again, but on the day I went it was a bit messy. I was able to find most of what I went for. I love making protein smoothies at home, and here at Aldi I found a killer deal on frozen fruit! The meat also seemed to be better priced. It doesn't have as much selection as other grocery stores you've likely been in, but I'd say give it a try. The employees were helpful. Bring your own bags! And, just like in Germany, you'll need to bag your own stuff at the wall counter after checkout. read more

I'm glad everyone has rave reviews for this place but I don't. The concept isn't like other grocery stores so you'd think that the people working here would show a little more grace. I understand that they know the way things work at this store, but as a first time customer, I don't. If I don't have a positive experience, why would I come back? Even if the prices are less for some things than other grocery stores in the area. I can't even say that it's such huge savings that I would endure having to keep a quarter with me in order to even get a shopping cart to use. Not to mention, the strawberries were moldy with huge white mold growth. The way the shelves are built and setup feel very bare bones and budget. Maybe it's just me, but it felt sterile and unwelcoming so I won't be back. Love Aldi's and this location is very close by so very convenient for us. Everyone that works there is nice and considerate. The prices are lower versus a lot of the other chains so at a time like this it's very appreciated. Love the seasonal items but wish they could stay in the shelves longer but I get that space is limited. Aldi used to be my one stop for everything, but I found the cheeses taste better from Trader Joe's and the produce lasts longer from TJ's. So I shop Aldi for their fantastic chicken prices and meat ads. There are also some Aldi specific items that I love and can't find anywhere else like their German sauerkraut. This store has very kind helpful staff. They keep their mobile cart in a back room because for some reason stupid people keep trying to steal shopping equipment for disabled people. So I have to ask every time for them to bring it to me, which they are always kind enough to do. One time I requested a the cart and they had forgotten to charge it so it was dead as a door nail. One guy offered to help me shop, but I just couldn't even walk around the store, so I just asked him to get me one of the bags of chicken thighs and legs and he brought it to the cashier and then walked it out to the car for me. Aldi is my home when it comes to groceries especially for my veggies and fruits shopping. Love this location coz it's super close by home and I find everything here. The beauty about aldi is it's a small store compared to the regular grocery stores and the store is maintained well, the staff is helpful and friendly, have no complaints. Also the parking lots are safe coz no carts in the way. I'm a big fan to shop my fruits for our breakfast smoothie here. Varieties covered for a decent price and everything is fresh. Also this location carries red Roma tomatoes which is another life saver to my Indian groceries trip. read more

I love ALDI and have never had a problem at this location. My last visit I was a little disappointed that they seem to carry less of the fit and active products that they had in the past. Prices are reasonable and store seems clean. Lines always move quickly here. read more

It's pretty small but I'm glad they picked up the Neighborhood Walmart that was being built and gave us this instead. Very comfortable, great customer service, nicely laid out with the small space they have. Wish it was bigger but they have really done well, organized and running smoothly for their Grand Opening and 4th of July weekend. Should be crazy but it was very nice, easy to walk through. The selections are not bad, affordable prices, but the cashiers, wow. Every single time past 6:30pm, most (except 1 or so) look and act like this is a worst job they've ever had, like they're hungry and tired. Please feed them or something. read more

Hmmm...So, my son has ADD. If he were to design a grocery store this is what it would look like. There was zero rhyme or reason as to where items were placed on shelves. For example, the canned items had Green beans were next to chicken soup and then tomato sauce. You know instead of all the soups together, all the veggies together. It looked like someone opened a box as it came in and put it on the shelf wherever it fit. It was hard to shop in such disorganization. So here's the low down. You need to bring a quarter to get your shopping cart. Don't worry you get it back when you return your cart. They don't have bags, so you need to bring your own. When they check out your groceries they place it in a cart and you bag your groceries in another station. I can't really tell if I saved money because I still needed so many more items that I couldn't find. I had to go to a Walmart to finish my grocery list items. read more

The selection of items at this Aldi location are always top-notch, and the quality of produce (all is organic!) and baked goods exceeds other local Aldi stores. The store is extremely clean and organized, and items are laid out in a much more logical order than other locations. On occasion there will be name-brand items, but almost every Aldi item that my family tries is delicious. The cereals are great and the spices are a big way to save money without compromising flavor. The whole-grain bread is soft and has a fantastic taste at a fraction of the price of comparable brands at other grocery stores. Baking goods such as nuts, flour, sugar, and cooking oils are so much cheaper here. Even the wines are great considering the inexpensive price! I actually drive a bit out of my way to shop at this location as opposed to the nearby Frisco store, which is closer to my residence. The employees are very friendly, and will often scan available Aldi coupons at checkout if I did not have a sale paper coupon of my own, thus saving me more money on my trip. Be sure to grab empty boxes as you see them so that you can use them to package up your items after checking out. Prefer paper bags or plastic bags made for refrigerated items? Those are available for a small fee per bag at checkout. If you purchase more bags than you need, help out a fellow shopper by leaving the extras on the bagging counter by the registers so that they can be used by someone else! I like to hand off my shopping cart to another shopper after my trip is complete, as sometimes people forget to bring a quarter for the shopping cart "rental". read more

Seems like a cross between Big Lots and Trader Joe's but using all the bad things of each. Low stock, poor beer and wine selection, understaffed. Zero atmosphere.Camping tents and groceries in the same store?? I might go back for some of the imported items (it's Trader Joe's sort of sister company based in Germany) but not too impressed. This location is brand new so it's really nice compared to other Aldi's. It's pretty clean and organized and, as usual, they have awesome prices. I live close to it so I keep getting coupons in the mail for them too. I never shopped here before a few months ago but I'm glad I finally came around. The don't have all of the big brands that other grocery stores have so they don't have to pay for the marketing. That makes their prices a lot lower. They usually have really fresh produce (often better than Walmart) and good meat options too. The only downside is that I can't get everything I need here and I end up going to Sprouts too. But that's not so bad considering the money I save! read more

Groceries and stuff is alright. But I absolutely don't like their cart system. You have to insert a quarter to get your cart. Most of the time this mechanism doesn't work and its very frustrating. Then you have to hold all your groceries in your hand. It's ridiculous, I don't have any problem using the quarters, but expect it to work every time. read more

A step up from other Aldi locations. The store was well stocked with little of the mess that often comes with the brand. The meat, produce and dairy had good expirations and was fresh. Typically, the prices were good but not necessarily good enough to make this an entire family shopping trip without comparing other stores. I really appreciate how low their prices are. I typically save about 50% on my weekly grocery bill. The store is well stocked, and I love the Aldi Finds aisle. The only suggestion I would have for them is to add another employee during peak hours. There is sometimes a long line to check out, but it doesn't take too long because they are pretty fast. read more

For the people complaining about not being able to find name brand stuff, having to "pay" a freaking quarter for your cart, and God forbid you bag your own groceries.....get a clue! That's what Aldi's is all about! You can get really cheap meat and veggies here and their store brand stuff is usually really good. Here's the great thing, if you don't like a store brand item, take it back and they will not only give you your money back but then also replace it for free! It's their double money back guarantee. Sorry folks, this is not for me. I found it messy and disorganised. Brands I never heard of. Vegs looked old not much variety. Not much of choice s. I guess I'm used to sprouts and Trader Joe's..where I still save money and I know it's the freshest. No help from staff.at this store Walking in and the 1st thing is a big bin of boxes all dumped in a big mess. I'm suppose to put my stuff in THERE?? Ewwwwww! Not paying to unlock the stupid carts! Not very many healthy choices. Hugh aisle of junk food , small table of veg and fruit. Pass! Update: Credit card skimmers have been found in multiple Aldi stores, in multiple states. So disappointed. I never hope for a business to go under, but hope they close down and convert to a Trader Joes. I believe Aldi and Trader Joes are affiliated but you wouldn't know. About 5 aisles of mess The place was very messy when I went. Poor choices of fruits and veggies and it didn't look like good quality. I'm all for affordable, but this just didn't seem like quality selections. It is in a great location surrounded by great neighborhoods that deserve a better store. oh, and make sure you bring a quarter so you can unlock your shopping cart. Aldi is great. They always have great deals and their products are extremely comparable to name brands. This is were you will save the big bucks. Bring your bags and a quarter for the cart. You can buy bags there too. Produce, Dairy, Meats and general items are great!! read more

This store is awesome. I went in here and got veggies, meat, snacks, and drinks for two weeks for less than $50! The veggies here are fresh and they have a good variety of fruits as well. They also have healthy options like vegetable juices(like v8), whole grain pasta/bread/waffles, and veggie burgers. They even sell wine and beer at a decent price if you are willing to try something new. Keep in mind mostly everything here is off brand, but dont knock it until you have tried it. There are also certain ways they cut costs to keep your grocery bill lower, so you will not get your groceries bagged, and they do not have "buggy boys" to get your cart so you have to put a quarter in your buggy as "ransom" to make you return it to its home. I personally like bagging my own groceries so I can make sure they are organized the way i like it, and i think the quarter thing is genious. Love, love, love this place! read more

I'm so glad Aldi has opened a store in McKinney. While living in Dallas I frequented the Aldi there. The new Aldi here is clean, has rock bottom prices & courteous staff. I can usually buy 90% of my groceries so this saves quite a bit of $ which is a very good thing! read more
