While they were not the least expensive, I selected them after reviewing the job with Christo, the owner. He was very knowledgeable and was straight forward regarding the extent of possible issues that may be uncover when the shingles are removed from such an older building (1929). Christo has an extensive portfolio of quality materials to choose from and his suggestions really helped steer me towards the best possible outcome. The work began very shortly after the paperwork was completed and even after finding that the original roof had 3 layers of failed shingles in some areas, had extensive wood rot at the decking, fascia and soffit areas, needed replacement roof ventilation and also required additional work to remove an old school TV antenna... the roof was completed beautifully and ahead of schedule! Communication was on-going and professional throughout the entire job. The clean up was meticulous and complete. Gutters and downspouts were installed a few days later and the house really looks great! I can 100% recommend 1st Choice Roofing... and have already passed their contact information on to both family and friends.

She said, "well, information just gets put in our computer and we call". So basically, farming leads like a telemarketer instead of actually caring about the customer's specific requests (that they be contacted the same way they reached out). I asked her to remove the contact detail - she hung up without acknowledging or apologizing. So basically, just like a telemarketer. Avoid them.

However, within 1 year post completion, the tile grout on the curb began to fall out on the outside of the curb. We contacted JTAS to repair. They came out and completed the repair. Within 2 years the grout began to fall out on the shower floor. JTAS came out to look at the damage, but never returned, nor returned calls. My husband repaired as best as he could. A year later the problem got worse with leaking occurring in the ceiling below the shower. And, now the tiles felt boggy when stepped on. Called JTAS to replace the shower floor, which they were amenable to do to the tune of $7,000. They also noted that they no longer install showers that way, due to problems that occurred. I agreed but wanted a 5 year warranty. They refused and would only supply the 1 year warranty. We canceled the project. Since then, we've torn out the shower floor to find the damage was much more severe with a significant amount of mold. Also, they did not install a waterproofing layer, which I found concerning. My biggest beef with JTAS is that they don't stand by their work.

I had a toilet that was not running properly. I did everything I could think of to fix the problem and was unable to. I was directed to Jon who deals with plumbing. I.e. in the 25 years of owning my homes, I've never had to deal with a plumber. Jon was able to come out the next morning, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was running properly before he left. At the show everybody I dealt with from the company was very personable and professional. This was a great experience, I would highly recommend them.

First…read morewe had them fully insulate our home which was built in 1929, so it wasn't an easy job with a number of crawl spaces and an attic that is difficult to access. To install a ventilation fan, they had to from the outside go into the dormer that is above the bathroom. In there they found more dead space without any insulation and they addressed that. We absolutely can tell a difference that now I've had to half block a heating vent upstairs because that room gets to hot now. Also we used to hear the firetrucks blocks away and now don't hear them until they are going right by. Second job was to replace the siding to the house. Here the owner (Randy) did an awesome job of planning the job out. Gave us an idea of using two different styles of siding for different parts of the home and it looks awesome now.. More importantly was his crew that did the actual work. They have been doing siding work for over 25 years and you can tell. Everything looks so tight, caulk lines clean and not sloppy. Attention to detail was suburb. One of the things we do is have my wife reach out to contractors first to see how they treat her, she used to work in real estate and is really good at telling if they are giving a bunch of BS or talk down to her. Randy with Allrite passed all her tests and ultimately we choose Allrite based on her feeling that they would do the best job. Their quote was higher than all the others, but two things... One - NO OVERRUNS.. even with adding a few things in during the job, he didn't nickel and dime me. TWO- The quality was worth it.. When I walk down the block and compare houses, you can see the difference. It was well worth the extra investment to go with them and I hadn't expected to feel this good about how the house would turn out. I don't write a lot of reviews, but felt that Allrite earned it, that I take time to write this out. If you are looking for a contractor here in the Milwaukee area, at least put them on your list to talk to.
