    Corn Salad: BLAND!
    Scott L.

Hoping for better than Twisted "WARNING food poisoning ahead!" Chefs, we chose instead Wich's Son of a Brat with corn salad side $15.00. The sandwich is a brat dressed with kraut. A curry-spiked ketchup gives it a little character but doesn't really compensate for the soggy bottom and difficult-to-bite sausage casing. Corn salad is almost tasteless: needs cilantro or jalapeños or salt or SOMETHING for favor!!

SWOW (signature 'wich of the week) White Trash Cheesesteak

WOWSERS!!! Great food, great service, wonderful experience. Did I mention how great the food was?!! Came out to Deacon Baldy's Saturday afternoon to have a few drinks with friends and have some food. Wife and kids got pizza from another truck but I wanted something different so I went for the sandwich. I was not disappointed!! I ordered the"White Trash Cheesesteak" and my goodness was it glorious!!! It was their S.W.O.W (Signature 'Wich of the Week). It's made with a lightly grilled bun stuffed with Quesorizo and their flavorful burger meat mixed with grilled mushrooms, onion, pickled jalapeños. You can top it off with a hit of jalapeño ranch or their comeback sauce to make it even more trashy! It comes with a side (Mac & cheese something or corn salad). I asked his opinion and he said corn salad so I went with it. A creamy corn mixture topped with some corn chips. Very tasty! The sandwich? OMG. That's how I would describe it. It's a delightful mess of wonderful flavors. Once you pick it up you can't put it down. Like literally, there was a lot of juice and my hand was messy when I finished it, and I was so worth the mess. When I'm back at Deacon Baldy's I will most definitely be back for another 'wich!

    Get more than TWO.

I'm a huuuuge fan of Deacon Baldy's Food Truck Park so it was only a matter of time before I made it to Wiches on Wheels. Admittedly, I have a love-lust relationship with French Fries and when I saw the size of these monstrosities, challenge accepted. The flavor was outstanding. Real talk, it was outstanding as my mouth was slapped with strong spices. I learned quickly to appreciate the various sizes and shapes of the fries because after slowly chewing through a thick, smoking, hot fry; you need a smaller, harder fry to kinda "even out the potato". The portion held so many, alternating was noooo problem! I do warn you. Get EXTRA sauce. Whether you're an old school ketchup user or into the ranches and other stuff, you'll need extra. Those big rascals will need more than the standard two cups.

Phatty melt with perfect grilled bread.

Damn! These sandwiches are delicious. I got the phatty melt and my daughter got the white trash cheese steak and we both struggled to choose a favorite because they were both delicious. I can't even begin to tell you how great the fries are, they have a perfect crunch on the outside and softness on the inside. Just great food that you must try.

Vato Loco burger and macaroni and cheese.

This place is excellent. The burger I got was a Vato Loco burger and a macaroni cheese burger. You must show up with an empty stomach because the food is filling and incredibly delicious. They have a cornucopia of different foods and varieties on familiar dishes that are popular.

Had to get my Wiches on Wheels fix. I visited the Conroe location on a cool Saturday afternoon. The breeze was blowing and the aroma of burgers was in the air. We had the Sunrise burger. This particular burger comes with a fried egg on top, sharp cheddar, comeback sauce, bacon, grilled onions, fries on egg bun. The burgers are made with 1/2 lb of a special three meat blend. The potato salad was very good, the Mac and cheese was good as well. The French fries were excellent just the right amount of seasoning.

Going with the Devito, my mind was thoroughly blown by how flavorful the red sauce and meats were all together, it had a combination of textures from the crusty bread cured cuts that made it fun to chew through every bite. My Stallone was also just such a pleasant mix of flavor with the pesto playing a bigger role on the cold cut options. Although they have many sandwiches to choose from, the Stallone was the one recommended to me. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and has a concoction of pesto, cheese, tomato and garlic? Inside it's LOADED with capicola, ham, salami, soppresata, and provolone. The sandwich was definitely a flavor bomb and I still think about it til this day. I would love to go back and try some other sandwiches of theirs too!

Because it's on the Mount Rushmore of BBQ for me after one visit…read more --- --- --- I was checking out the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ joints in Texas list when it came out, and I was bookmarking a bunch of places on Yelp for my future travels. For any place located in the bigger cities: DFW, Austin, San Antonio, etc - there's a good chance I'd be able to visit them at some point down the road. Then I came across a local place: Bar A BBQ. I was thrilled that they made the cut. After reading their blurb, the next business listed was a place called Jennings. My eyes were darting around looking for what city Jennings was in. Imagine a movie scene where they close up on the person's face as their eyes widen and they are suddenly coming to a massive realization. Jennings was also located in Montgomery. I'm located in Montgomery. BBQ is my favorite food. I scour Yelp like a crazy person for new places to try and I've written over 3,500 reviews. I'm on multiple local Facebook foodie groups. And I had never even heard of Jennings. If you're simply reading this review, you probably don't actually know me. But I cannot properly convey to you how mind-blowing and unprecedented it is that a place like this would exist 20 minutes from my house and its existence would have somehow completely escaped my knowledge. I might not ever get over the fact that this happened. But I did what I could to make up for my ignorance and was first in line the next day that they were open after the article came out. So now onto the food.... ***The Important Part: The Food*** I won't bury the lede any more than I already have. Jennings is among the best BBQ I've ever had in my life. Since I first tried Franklin in Austin in 2021, I'd always said that it was #1. But then I had it a 2nd time and it was merely "awesome" rather than life-changing. Corkscrew in Old Town Spring has always been the top dog in all of Houston, in my opinion, but it's hard for me to, say that Corkscrew was definitely better than what I just experienced at Jennings. I started with a rib and just couldn't believe how great it was. The flavor was one thing, but it was the perfect mix between tender, but not so tender that it becomes a roast and just falls off the bone. And then I ate the brisket and couldn't pick which was better! I might not stop thinking about that brisket until at least the end of the decade. So thick, so fatty, so ideal. Give me a catering sized platter of this brisket and I will end wars with it. No words I can use will accurately portray how I felt about it. Calling it "perfect" somehow feels like an insult. And then the pulled pork. I always believe the pulled pork is easier in terms of having a baseline of decentness because it seems to be harder to mess up. But even it was just so undeniable. The sides ranged from fine to great. I am not really a pinto beans person, so that's the only side we didn't order. But the cowboy beans were basically just pinto beans with some brisket mixed in and that was the only thing I didn't care for. The coleslaw was just ok too. But the rest of the sides were all solid: mac-n-cheese, corn souffle, potato salad and the fried cabbage. The banana pudding wasn't bad either. But make no mistake: the meat is the star of the show here and it's not just a star. It's the sun and the moon and the galaxy. I'm ruined now because just about every future BBQ experience will just make me angry that they don't do it like Jennings. On top of their God BBQ, the people were super friendly here. They were giving us free samples since we were first timers even though we nearly just ordered "one of everything" on the menu. How I am just writing the 7th review for this place is a crime. How I was able to show up at 10:50am and be first in line for their 11am opening is a crime. If word gets out about what comes out of this trailer every Saturday and Sunday, they are going to need hire local law enforcement to direct traffic in and out of this gas station parking lot.
