the seasonal Ruby Heist, iced coffee with whole milk

TLDR: Wilderlove Coffee is absolutely worth the drive. The Ruby Heist latte was unforgettable, the service was so kind, and I even bought merch because I loved it so much. Wilderlove Coffee, you have my heart. I happened to be in the area, searched for the closest coffee shop, and found this place. It completely made my day. I ordered the seasonal Ruby Heist, a latte with housemade grapefruit, bergamot, and mint syrup. It was one of the most incredible drinks I have ever had. It was bright, refreshing, and layered with flavor in a way that felt so unique and special. I truly wish I had ordered two. It gave me the perfect energy to head home and felt like discovering a hidden treasure. The person who served me was so kind and welcoming. They made me feel instantly comfortable and cared for. I even bought one of their shirts because I wanted to keep supporting them after such a great experience. The only thing that makes me sad is how far away they are from me. If they were closer, I would be there every single week. Wilderlove Coffee deserves every ounce of praise. If you are anywhere nearby, go. You will leave happier, caffeinated, and already planning your next visit.

Wilderlove Coffee "A masterclass in Coffee" After months of Coffee reviews,r I finally made it out to them and man was I in for a treat, I was saying the other day that something aesthetically pleasing about watching coffee be made. Vibe- This is a neat coffee truck that sits in the lot of a business in Montgomery, TX! They have a few tables and chairs set up for you t enjoy your enjoy outside :) Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I order the seasonal mister miyagi that was described to me as adult caprisun lol and I also got an iced matcha latte with oatmilk and lavender; both of my drinks were delicious. Parking- There's parking behind the business that is also in the lot with the coffee truck.

Y'all. This is the best coffee shop on the ENTIRE planet. Not only are kade and katie ( the owners ) the sweetest, most respectable people you will ever meet, but their business and their love for the craft of specialty coffee, is something that will just draw you in. From the amazing , house-made seasonal menu items they have, to the outstanding community of coffee culture that they have created in Montgomery tx is just beautiful. It was well needed :) My go to right now is the iced texas honey! They also get their honey locally.... And it's incredible Go check it out! Make the drive, bring a friend ... because it's an experience worth while!!!!!!

Cool exterior! Menu in letter tiles.:)

Blink, and you may miss it. And you will regret it the rest of your life! Thankfully we turned around because we saw Meadow to Market and wanted to check it out. Good thing we did because we saw Wilderlove tucked away in the area just next to Meadow to Market. Surrounded by pine trees, next to Assay Station, it was a beautiful sight. The drink offerings were listed cleanly on round letter tiles. We asked a few questions and learned a ton. Found out the cold brew was used from beans from Tenfold Coffee (in the Heights in Houston). At once I was so excited because Ive tried Tenfold and think it's one of the top 2-3 coffee shops in Houston. After listening more to the barista, I ordered a Smoke Show and my wife got the Texas Honey Latte. We learned why the Smoke Show is perhaps the most popular item on the menu. He takes a pecan tree stump, then a blow torch to light on fire the cinnamon stick on top of the stump, extinguished it and then put the cup over it to trap the smoke. Then he filled it up with the latte. The result was undoubtedly one of the better lattes we've had, edging out anything we have tried in Houston, hands down. The smokiness of the pecan combined with the cinnamon gave it a higher complexity, definitely on another level. I would recommend getting it hot. To compare with the honey Texas latte, it was really good in its own right, but it tasted "thin" compared to the Smoke Show. The Smoke Show was simply so good, and the infused smokiness of the pecan stump made it stand out head and shoulders above the rest in the latte department. We would get it again in a heartbeat!!

A few months back, we decided on taking a hike in Montgomery, but first, coffee! A special thank you to Wilderlove Coffee for a little caffeine boost before hitting the trails!

The best coffee I ever had !!! It's clear they take their coffee seriously, with attention to detail in every cup.

Great personal service with hand crafted drinks. All syrups are home made also. They have cold brew and nitro as well as espresso drinks. All drinks are 2 shots of espresso. The nitro is lighter and more fruity than you might be used to. (Better IMO). No food items yet, but you can get pastries 100 yards away. They may have some food items later on in the future. They are located in downtown Montgomery in the Cozy Grape parking area. Give them a try and support our local businesses.

Who thought coffee could be so elevated. This isn't coffee it is a symphony in my mouth using espresso as an instrument.

Excellent coffee!!! It's also located in front of a cute boutique style store with neat things to shop for.

So I go on this walk, I have company, we're making content and we decide go explore Smashed Society. When we get there, it's a small trailer on the edge of a parking lot, no customers in line, and the attendant is sitting in his car. So I'm not really knowing what to think, all I know is that I just walked here in the sun with jeans on so we gotta see this thing through. She looks at the menu, she already knows what she wants. I ask a few questions to the guy about suggestions because it's our first time here. He tells me that I should get the jalapeño burger and get it the way it comes. I take his word for it. She gets the burger with the egg and has brown I think it was the sun ride burger. I don't know nothing besides those were the best burgers I've ever had in my life. He gave me free tots because I couldn't decide on fries or tots. The burgers were so well seasoned, the sauce on the burgers makes you want to slap yo mama! Everything was so damn good I want to walk back up there just to say thanks. Please go and try this place out. It might change your life.

The money was well spent, at least in terms of recruiting me, as I quickly added it to my short list. I ordered online when I was about 15 minutes away and my order was being bagged up just as I arrived. So while I took it home to eat, it was as fresh as it could be, given the circumstances. I ordered the double with fries, my wife had the double with tots. We both felt that it wasn't the best smash burger we've had, but that it hit the spot. And it's definitely the type of place we will hit up again in the future, given that there are sadly not a lot of smash burger options in the area.

I did not get my birria tacos, but I did get some delicious barbacoa tacos with some spicy sauce which is what I really wanted. I just needed some serious spice. I've eaten at this place a couple of times and I knew the food was good so I knew what I was in for. One delicious barbacoa taco in and my need for spice has been satiated. I'm continuing on more slowly this time with constant interruptions to blow my nose, and unfortunately, swat flies away. I find the flies to be most annoying. Two tacos and 4 napkins in, I am considering the more mild sauce to finish off the meal, but at the same time, ask myself why? So the last taco I ate with the mild sauce and I found it delicious. I was seeking spice and I got it but the mild sauce was more to my liking. The flies were no joke. I'm not sure what can be done about that, maybe a fan or something in their enclosure /eating area. I even killed a bee while I was eating. I wasn't deterred though I finished my entire three taco beans and rice plate. Lastly I would add that at this posting, December 2022, the road 105 is undergoing massive construction, so getting into this place is definitely tricky unless you're on this side of the road. I've eaten here before like I said so I definitely recommend. I would give a solid five stars if it weren't for the flies.

Why 5 stars? Because it's on the Mount Rushmore of BBQ for me after one visit…read more --- --- --- I was checking out the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ joints in Texas list when it came out, and I was bookmarking a bunch of places on Yelp for my future travels. For any place located in the bigger cities: DFW, Austin, San Antonio, etc - there's a good chance I'd be able to visit them at some point down the road. Then I came across a local place: Bar A BBQ. I was thrilled that they made the cut. After reading their blurb, the next business listed was a place called Jennings. My eyes were darting around looking for what city Jennings was in. Imagine a movie scene where they close up on the person's face as their eyes widen and they are suddenly coming to a massive realization. Jennings was also located in Montgomery. I'm located in Montgomery. BBQ is my favorite food. I scour Yelp like a crazy person for new places to try and I've written over 3,500 reviews. I'm on multiple local Facebook foodie groups. And I had never even heard of Jennings. If you're simply reading this review, you probably don't actually know me. But I cannot properly convey to you how mind-blowing and unprecedented it is that a place like this would exist 20 minutes from my house and its existence would have somehow completely escaped my knowledge. I might not ever get over the fact that this happened. But I did what I could to make up for my ignorance and was first in line the next day that they were open after the article came out. So now onto the food.... ***The Important Part: The Food*** I won't bury the lede any more than I already have. Jennings is among the best BBQ I've ever had in my life. Since I first tried Franklin in Austin in 2021, I'd always said that it was #1. But then I had it a 2nd time and it was merely "awesome" rather than life-changing. Corkscrew in Old Town Spring has always been the top dog in all of Houston, in my opinion, but it's hard for me to, say that Corkscrew was definitely better than what I just experienced at Jennings. I started with a rib and just couldn't believe how great it was. The flavor was one thing, but it was the perfect mix between tender, but not so tender that it becomes a roast and just falls off the bone. And then I ate the brisket and couldn't pick which was better! I might not stop thinking about that brisket until at least the end of the decade. So thick, so fatty, so ideal. Give me a catering sized platter of this brisket and I will end wars with it. No words I can use will accurately portray how I felt about it. Calling it "perfect" somehow feels like an insult. And then the pulled pork. I always believe the pulled pork is easier in terms of having a baseline of decentness because it seems to be harder to mess up. But even it was just so undeniable. The sides ranged from fine to great. I am not really a pinto beans person, so that's the only side we didn't order. But the cowboy beans were basically just pinto beans with some brisket mixed in and that was the only thing I didn't care for. The coleslaw was just ok too. But the rest of the sides were all solid: mac-n-cheese, corn souffle, potato salad and the fried cabbage. The banana pudding wasn't bad either. But make no mistake: the meat is the star of the show here and it's not just a star. It's the sun and the moon and the galaxy. I'm ruined now because just about every future BBQ experience will just make me angry that they don't do it like Jennings. On top of their God BBQ, the people were super friendly here. They were giving us free samples since we were first timers even though we nearly just ordered "one of everything" on the menu. How I am just writing the 7th review for this place is a crime. How I was able to show up at 10:50am and be first in line for their 11am opening is a crime. If word gets out about what comes out of this trailer every Saturday and Sunday, they are going to need hire local law enforcement to direct traffic in and out of this gas station parking lot.
