Such a great spring activity! The flowers were beautiful and they have many fields with a plentiful amount of flowers in varying colors. They provide buckets upon entering and also have a few woven baskets if you would like to borrow for photos. The staff is very friendly, and walks around the field to take photos of your group upon request and answer any questions. At the end of picking they have a wrap station, $5 for staff to wrap for you, or free if you choose to do it yourself. Tip: keep in ice cold water and they will last a long time in your home!

And my husband found tea scented tulips

Im coming back. I fell in love with this place. The variety of flowers and colors pulls your attention in every direction. You simply can't stop pulling flowers to take home The ladies at the stand are so nice and give you good tips to keep your flowers beautiful longer

We had a little date at Wicked Tulips this weekend and it was PHENOMENAL. We've been to their other CT location which is lovely as well! It was gorgeous and we cannot wait to come back next year! There are tons of tulips for you to pick! You must buy your tickets online before coming, but your ticket comes with 10 tulips! It's such a good time for all ages. Highly recommend to everyone!

We had an amazing afternoon picking tulips. Great picture opportunities. The staff was very friendly offering to take pictures and help us wrap our tulips.

What a great experience! Everyone working the farm was super friendly and helpful and everything was gorgeous. I signed up for the mailing list so I would know when tickets go on sale as there is a limited timeframe and availability. Each ticket includes 10 tulips and each additional is $1. The weather was gorgeous, parking was organized and we didn't pay for premium parking spots but the walk was not bad. I would recommend hiking boots as the ground is uneven and rocky in places and while we lucked out with weather I can imagine the grounds have the potential to be extremely muddy. If you love tulips this is definitely an experience you shouldn't miss at one of their three locations :)

Just amazing! I have been wanting to go to the Wicked Tulips farm in RI for the last couple of years, but this year I was determined to make it happen. But then I saw they opened in a location in Preston, CT. Even better! We went the first weekend they were open (they had been open for a few weekdays leading up to it) and the field was super impressive. A ton of variety and really quality flowers to pick from. You MUST buy tickets in advance on the weekends, capacity is limited and you are given a 30 minute time slot to enter. Once in you are able to stay as long as you want, until closing. We had a blast picking from fun tulip varieties that you never see in stores. Each adult ticket comes with 10 pick your own tulips. Each additional is $1. We picked to our hearts' content and ended up with 27 gorgeous stems. We found a couple varieties with up to 4 flowers/buds per stem - bonus!! Dress appropriate, it's a field. There's a bit of a walk from the parking lot and if it's rained at all, the walk in will be muddy and so will the flower fields. Follow the tips they send in the email you get a few days before your confirmed date. They're super organized and know what they're doing and want everyone to have a great experience! And if you need a lunch spot near by, hit up Tulli's Tavern for some elevated pub food with a great menu and fun specials! I can't wait to check out the RI location next year, as it is supposedly double the size!

What a really awesome Welcome Spring activity to do with just about anyone- friends, date, family. The weather was absolutely perfect the day that we went and what beautiful scenery we had. Rows and rows of different colored tulips. Make sure to buy your tickets online in advance. When you arrive they will scan your ticket and give you a token to redeem for picking 10 tulips. ($20 plus tax) So worth it! Bring a vase or buy a bucket. I'd also bring a large water bottle to give your tulips some water if you have a long way home. More than two hours. We stopped at the casino after, so it was definitely good to have water for the tulips. Honestly, it's beautiful here. Take tons of pics. It's planted with over 75 mid-to-late tulip varieties. Attending a "U-Pick" event is special, and only possible for a few weeks each spring. U-Pick means "pick your own." It also means enjoying the experience of strolling through vast tulip fields and enjoying nature. Farm visits only happen during a few weeks each year--usually between late April through late May, but nature truly determines the dates. Check their Instagram page @wickedtulips for all ticket info.

Such a beautiful experience in Preston ,Ct ! I always wanted to visit the tulip fields that I see posted on Instagram and this year I actually got to enjoy picking my own for Mother's Day .The staff was incredible !!The weather wasn't the greatest that day and for the staff to be so patient and friendly, welcoming everyone, explaining the process, wow, they were amazing!!Of course the tulips are even more beautiful when you look at them and are right there in front of you!!I recommend this experience and I would definitely be back and maybe visit the RI location also !!

This farm is stunning! Over 700,000 tulips are available for picking, and you can spend all day here trying to choose! The colors are so bright and beautiful and range from all different kinds of tulips too. Tickets are bought on the website and include 10 tulips to bring home with you. They also have orange buckets for you to use, or if you're lucky enough, they have a few woven baskets to lay your tulips in as well. There are plenty of workers to direct you on where to park and to help at the wrapping station. They give you orange tokens and explain the process on how to puck the tulips, too. The rows are filled with white, yellow, purple, pink, orange, red, and multi colored tulips as well! The landscape is so picturesec that it's a photographers playground. The beauty captured here is lovely and the timeslots given during your purchase help so it's not overcrowded. I really enjoyed my time here and was lucky enough to have such perfect weather and clear skies. Such a great and relaxing Saturday afternoon well spent here at Wicked Tulips Farm.

I was here the last week they were open and still acres of the most beautiful and incredible varieties of tulips. It's breathtaking! Rows and rows of colorful tulips. It's a beautiful sight. This is a wonderful place for a family photo and many people were photographing each other, their children, etc. Professional photographers were on site to take professional pictures for a minor fee. The fields can be managed on foot for those who can walk on dirt and grass and are worth taking the time to wander and "smell the flowers". You never know what you'll find. Make sure you buy tickets ahead of time via their website, especially if you want to visit on the weekend as they get busy and tickets sell out quickly. When you arrive they provide wicker baskets and as you tip toe through the tulips you can pick whichever ones catch your eye. Ten free tulips are included in your ticket and charge a dollar extra for any additional tulips. It was a peaceful, beautiful afternoon. The staff who work there were so nice. Allow at least an hour and be ready to take spectacular photos. I can't wait to come back again next year!

The first few blooms showing through!

This is such an awesome place for family fun! Pick your own tulips options combined with the stunning views make this spot a perfect place for a little day-trip! Staff is friendly and helpful!

I absolutely LOVE Wicked Tulips and eagerly watch for when tickets get released each spring. I've been going since 2018 - starting with their Johnston farm, and now I go to all three farms. Preston CT farm is huge! Its so pleasant taking an afternoon (I like the weekdays, because quieter) to pick flowers with friends and have snacks at a picnic table while the sun goes into the golden hour. The staff is always super nice and wear these orange shirts so you can find them in the fields and parking, etc. Free parking and kids get in cheap. My kids - who usually seem to love screens mostly lol- put their phones away and just wander around picking flowers. Happiness for this mama

Tiptoe through the tulips! My boyfriend and I went to Wicked Tulips Farm in Preston this past Saturday. We lucked out and were able to attend early before there was a large crowd and we were able to pick our tulips before a thunderstorm rolled in. We reserved online and checked in to get out two tokens for 10 tulips each (it is one dollar more per additional tulip). We were a little late into tulip season and for the most part most of the tulips were already in full bloom. We paid for the gift wrap option at the end and we brought our tulips to my mom. They gave us a tip to put them into ice water and leave the paper on for at least an hour to help the tulips last longer. This tulip farm is such a great date idea or even a fun activity for the entire family! I would love to visit the two other RI farms as well next tulip season. I highly recommend picking your own tulips at Wicked Tulip Farms!

We set out to pick fresh floral stems and pumpkins. We were greeted with so much more....The sweet playful house pup who immediately brought us an apple for a game (or 25) of catch. He made this whole experience so much sweeter for my girls! We had a blast chasing him around the gorgeous rows of vibrant flowers and filled apple trees. We could've stayed for hours playing with him alone!! We purchased mini apple cider donuts the girls gobbled down in two seconds flat. They LOVED these! $4 for a bag of a dozen, fresh and hot off the press sugary, perfectly snack sized donuts. They also offer grass fed beef, pork and chicken. We met the owner who kindly poured us samples of their delicious fresh, raw cider and showed us the original mill which is housed in their awesome, simplistic barn. (If you're traveling, remember to bring a cooler with ice as the cider is unpasteurized.) She also suggested I purchase a "Long Island Cheese pumpkin" which I had never heard of before! Have you?! She gave me instructions on how to bake it and make what she said will be the best pumpkin pie ever! (I'll keep you posted). She also gave me some local suggestions on things to do (Old Sturbridge Village, Mass) which we did and had a fantastic time! Thank you!! Prices we thought were very fair and it feels so good supporting small, hardworking business owners. This farm is on the smaller size, but it's absolutely full of that unmistakable pure New England charm and quality goods! We would come back here in a heartbeat and had a VERY memorable, awesome first trip! If you're in the area or maybe looking for a weekend escape, this fabulous farm is located in a quaint town that offers so much, yet is so far away from it all. You won't be disappointed making an entire trip out of heading this way.

Then one day we drove right by Grants, made a speedy u-turn, and trundled up to see what the deal was. At the front, there was a farmer's market of sorts with pre-picked produce at a slightly higher price, but with marked convenience. We were told it works by weight, and were handed baskets for raspberries, and buckets for blueberries, so off we went! The raspberries were first, with encouragement to taste as we went. The raspberries were plentiful, juicy, sweet, and soft, just bursting with flavor. After our baskets were full, we went to the blueberry enclosure, and had a great time picking the plump, tart berries in handfuls from the forehead height bushes, just teeming with the blue gems. There was also pick your own tomatoes and strawberries, but we were so excited to get home with what we had, it was enough for us! For two completely full baskets of raspberries, and a giant bucket of blueberries, it cost us a mere $7something. It would have cost us twice that at the market for just the blueberries! Cash only but a great price, and a super fun time, I would highly recommend it. Family friendly, easy access, and a perfect way to encourage healthy local eating, Grants is the best!
