I walked in and there was already another customer in there who was at the counter talking to an employee. I started to browse and noticed I was not greeted at all by anyone. I let that go because maybe they were truly busy with something. Kept browsing around until said customer and employee were wrapping up their conversation and walking towards the door. Customer leaves and I assumed that was when the employee would greet me or apologize or something! No, she walked right by me, went back to the counter to start gossiping to an employee about the customer she was just helping! My jaw dropped and I got out of there immediately. I was truly ready to splurge there but that left the worst taste in my mouth. I'm not sure if I didn't fit their standards or what but it was by far the worst customer service I've experienced from a small business. I wanted to buy a pair of cowboy boots and Cavender's was the first place I stopped at. Compared to places like Lucchese's, this place has boots that are on the affordable side. The first pair of boots that I tried on were the ones I ended up purchasing at the end of the day. I opted for suede instead of leather, since I was looking at them for more of a fashion statement. What I love about my boots is that it doesn't really look like cowboy boots and I could wear them with anything. Jimena was the employee who had kept them on reserve for me while I perused the other boot stores to see what else was out there before making a commitment. Fincher's at the Stock Show where they had a booth selling Justin Boots -- and the experience was outstanding. Earlier that day, we visited several other booths and honestly felt disappointed. There was very little assistance, and most places seemed overpriced and uninterested in helping customers. Then we wandered into C.B. Fincher's booth and were greeted by J. Morton -- and everything changed. J. helped fit our twin boys and was incredibly patient with them as they tried to figure out what they wanted. He had them try on multiple boots in various sizes and took the time to teach them what to look for in the "perfect fit." He didn't rush them or push a sale. Instead, he focused on making sure they understood the fit and felt confident in their choice. He also made sure we, as parents, were completely comfortable and happy with their selections. The boots worked out great, the price was very fair, and the quality is excellent. What really stood out wasn't just the product -- it was the service. J. Morton was a true salesman in the best sense of the word. It was obvious that he cared more about making us feel welcome and taken care of than simply making a sale. Great prices. Great quality boots. But the real star of this western store is the people. Real quality products and real quality people. We'll absolutely be back. After a staff lunch one day one of my coworkers convinced us to take a detour to Keeping Up with the Joneses before we headed back to work. I am so glad I did. This little shop is the perfect size. It's small, quaint, and has just enough to browse without being overwhelming. We started with the clearance rack outside and the clothes were so cute! The sales are really good! One of my coworkers scored a gorgeous blue and white work dress and a pink and coral lace dress for a wedding reception--both on sale for $50! They had some cute white shirts with black printed sayings on them. I got two that said "Chanel and Champagne" although I was really in love with the "You had me at Merlot" shirt. They just didn't have it in my size. :-( The sizes available go up to size 14. If you look hard enough you can find some items in XXL, but the selection is small, so keep an open mind. I plan to regularly stop by to see what is on sale and maybe fall in love with more of their clothes. I spotted some gorgeous dresses and tops, but again my size wasn't available. There's a small fitting room in the shop. It's located in the back of the store, which is also where Aria Salt is (they share the space). One thing that I really love is that the material of the clothes felt thick and durable. You can tell the clothes are well made and will last. The owner was friendly and helpful, giving tips on what kind of shoes went with my coworker's dresses and ringing us up quickly. I also scored two large stemless wine glasses for 50% off each. I'm loving my new wine glasses! Can't wait to go back to Keeping up with the Joneses!
