My $5 caramel sundae while in the drive thru
    Shawna C.

Been craving a caramel sundae all day. Stopped at the competitor in a nearby city on my way home from work and they were out of ice cream and had no cold desserts. My sister suggested wienerschnitzel saying they are really good. I was headed to the competitor when my daughter said actually, I'd like to get food at wienerschnitzel. So, I was torn. Do I get the sundae I been craving all day or try the one my sister loves. I decided to try wienerschnitzel. It was $1.50 more than the competitor, but the photo looked good. So, we ordered my sundae and my daughter's food. Well, at first glance, I was disappointed that the sundae didn't look like the picture; it looked smaller than the picture. I sent pics to my sister while waiting in the drive thru and she said that's smaller than what she receives at the wienerschnitzel in her area. Crying. Then, I taste my $5 sundae and it tastes great. I pretty much inhaled it. I dunno, maybe 6-7 spoonfuls. And, it's gone. Thankfully, it hit the spot. This, the 2 stars. But, 3 point reduction for not looking like the photos. Won't order it again. I was telling my daughter, I should just go to the gym next time i crave it cause clearly they wanted me to cut my calories.

Bottom Line Up Front: If you like Greek food but don't want…read moreto pay big bucks at an traditional sit-down restaurant, Apola can be your yummy, budget-friendly alternative. The Food: Let me start by saying this is clearly an American take on Greek food, so if you're looking for super authentic food, look elsewhere. But if you're OK with a fusion, Apola will satisfy your Mediterranean craving. There are gyros (pita wraps), bowls, combo plates, and burritos (see, there's that American take I was talking about). All of them range in quality from average to really good. Though I've been here several times, I'll focus on my last visit when we got "the Works" pita wrap and a Greek salad bowl. For the Works, it comes with all the fixings, your choice of protein, and fries stuffed inside (yes, inside, not as a side). I chose beef-and-lamb gyro meat, which came in a huge portion. (Pro Tip: I pulled the fries out and got a "free" side. Of course , there's not a lot of fries, but enough to satisfy my fried food craving.) The gyro was big and tasty. For the Greek salad bowl, we also got beef-and-lamb gyro meat. Once again, they hooked it up with the quantity. Nice! The ingredients (tomatoes, cucumber, feta, etc) were all fresh and seasoned nicely. Side note: I do find it odd that they call this dish a salad bowl when it comes in a rectangular plastic tray. But semantics aside, it was quite good. I also ordered a fountain drink and got a Coke. It was nice a crisp with a lot of carbonation. Just the way I like it. It's not as good as the exclusive Coke blend at McDonald's, but was a close second. I have had some pretty watered down Cokes at other places in recent years. The Service: There were two young gentlemen working the last time I visited, and they were both friendly and knowledgeable. They even brought our meals to our table, which was a nice touch for a fast food establishment. The Setting: It's located inside the recently revamped Yorba Linda Downtown, which has revitalized the area and made it a pleasant place to hang out. Unfortunately, on weekends, it's hard to find parking sometimes. Fortunately we came on a weekday and got parking nearby. Inside, Apola is clean and tidy with roughly enough tables and chairs for a variety of party sizes. The Conclusion: Apola offers good Mediterranean-inspired food for a reasonable price (compared to other restaurants these days) -- just don't expect it to be 100% authentic Greek food. It's not perfect and not super cheap, but with the right expectations set, I plan to return on semi-regular basis.

Good flavor but meat was so thin that it was already cold and dry.

Review 71/365 Day Challenge…read more Finally visiting this local brunch/lunch spot specifically specializes in egg sandwiches. They are offering a Monday - Friday BOGO free ~ Scramble me softly breakfast sandwich that cost $ 9.99, it's a soft scrambled eggs, chives, caramelized onions, sharp cheddar, smoked paprika spread, in a toasted Japanese milk bun. Really yum. I got it Nashville hot. So it's sprinkled w a paprika type of chili powder that gives in a nice spice kick. Service was fast & friendly. They brought my items to my table. Restaurant has a nice brunch vibes w cute egg wall art decor. They offer a complimentary water dispenser. Only interior seatings, no patio exterior seating. I'd like to definitely return to try more other items on the menu they have a really good variety of options. Located next to Wing stop not far from weinersnitchel in the Imperial Rose Plaza. Same plaza as Stater bros. Good amount of parking spots available.

The cashier was super sweet and eager to let us vegetarians know that there would be no chance of cross contamination with what we've placed. On top of both of those items being super popular. The burrito was a generous one hander but watching another man who's probably on a date with a woman asking to split that thing in half so they could share... was painful. The burrito was bomb with how evenly them potato tots were distributed, fresh and irresistible. But the burger was so coveted with sauce it was impossible not to drench your fingers and palms or shirt with each flavorful bite. It's a bit too rich for me even if the food was well prepared, albeit greasy. The decor is super cool! But need more utensils and plates for people who dine in.
