You get in line, nothing too crazy is happening and you still interested in what you are now, craving after not craving anything just 30 seconds ago. End of the line turns to middle, middle turns to front. You're talking to the cashier. Wonderful and kind lady!! Beautiful soul and a beautiful woman!! She asks you, " what would you like?". You give her your order, she rings you up. BOOM!! You chop it up with her a little bit, realizing she's in OC with a family truck business and they are just as beautiful as her!! Amazing!! Passable hot dog food truck place. Ordered from here during d23 Disney fan convention in Anaheim as they had the shortest line and they were flipping food quite quickly to satisfy customer demand. I got their pastrami dog and it naturally comes with grilled onions, pickles and mustard drizzle, but you can always ask to not have these things on. If you want extra or different toppings such as jalapenos, bacon bits, etc, it will be an extra fee. For a normal sized hot dog with a decent amount of pastrami (not too salty, thank goodness) with the toppings that already come with it and a diet Coke, it was around $20. Yes, I get that food trucks are sometimes pricier and being at an event increases that amount too, but for that cost and the taste. The value just doesn't add up. At this point, I might even try the bacon dog vendors out on the streets. It's alright, but there are definitely more appealing options out there. read more

So today I had the honor to try of the the Dragon Dog Hot Dogs which seems to be pretty popular Food truck in OC. I ordered the Carne Asada Hot-dogs with fries and this was probably the best hot dog ever! This thing was loaded with steak, pico de gallo, sour cream and top off with a huge jalapeño pepper. The hot was quite tasty and the bread was also different that from most hot dogs I have consumed over my life. I had seen Dragon Dogs at Downtown Disney, and thought they looked amazing. My girlfriend had told me about them, and said they were the best ever. So we were having a Bike Night at the motorcycle shop I work for, and we were looking for a food truck to come out and serve our guests (between 150 to 400 people). I was really excited about having Dragon Dogs come out. They absolutely, 2,000% didn't disappoint on all levels! First off, they showed up right on time for set up. Most vendors show up a little past the set up (or not at all ... you can read my previous post about the other vendor that was supposed to be there that night, but I digress), but Dragon Dogs were there exactly when they said they would be. That gives them a gold star right off the bat. I stood back for awhile just to watch how they interacted with our customers and how long it took to get the food out. Again, AWESOME customer relations and super fast food turn time! So I went up and ordered their newest dog, the Crazy Asian. Let me just say, OMG ... absolutely the best hot dog I have ever had in my entire life!!! This thing was amazing! I'm telling you, it was a good thing I had stuff to do that night, as I would have spent the whole evening eating everything on the menu. Have a well-oiled food truck and good customer service is one thing, but I really have to brag on the owner, Matt Miyashiro for a moment. Most vendors will come in, do their thing and take off. That's not a problem, everyone does that. But when it came to closing down the event, Matt came out, and cleaned up the area around his truck and made sure it was better than he arrived. That alone was unprecedented ... but wait, there's more! He then went around and helped us break down the EZ Ups that were set up, and load stuff on the pallets. Really? In the history of putting on events, I've NEVER seen a food vendor help out like that. I'm really big on the integrity and character of the companies we work with, and I have to say that Matt and Dragon Dogs exceeded our expectations at EVERY level! Matt is an awesome, great guy, and his personality and passion bleeds over into every hot he makes. Seriously, all I heard at our event was, "You guys are having Dragon Dogs back, right?" Oh yes, oh yes we are! Bottom line? Without a doubt,m the best hot dog I've ever had, and one of the most caring, kind, and awesome people I've had the pleasure of meeting. The food truck was at the Anaheim Convention center for NAMM. On Friday I thought they might be a good choice. I was wrong. I ordered a pastrami dog (no pickles). Asked for jalapeños (note:there is a large white paper saying "have it your way..." with a list of ketchup, mustard, relish, jalapeños, etc) the lady said they are $1 extra even though no mention of add price. I also got the garlic cheese fries. While waiting a guy who also ordered a pastrami dog had to go back cause he didn't get jalapeños....they looked at his ordered and even though it had jalapeños on it he had to go get his order ticket out of the trash to confirm it. WTF!!! Seriously!!! But back to my order. The fries were cold. Not a single one has any heat to it. (I understand the lines were long and each food truck had lots of customers but you do expect warm to hot fries) the cheese didn't melt at all. The pastrami dog was drenched in mustard. Now I understand mustard is good and used on pastrami but when it's used to cover the lack of pastrami under it...it becomes sad. So...I sat down and took 2 bites of the dog, had to wipe mustard off everything and while I had a plastic fork they provided....no knife. They I use he fork and has 3 bites (3-4 fries and some cheese and garlic sauce). Opened my coke and had a sip. All of a sudden I felt sick to my stomach and major bloating happened. This is the first good I had in 4 hours so it had to do with both or either the pastrami dog and fries. Thought I'd get rid of the bread/bun and used it to sop up some of the mustard. Used the fork to get some pastrami and pick up he hot dog....stupidly thinking maybe a bit more food in my stomach would help. (I mean I did pay $38.30 for it all so wanted to eat somewhat my moneys worth) Nope...just not good at all. So I threw the food away and had to find some Tums. Huge disappointment especially for he cost of a pastrami dog, garlic cheese fries and a can of Coke. And I highly recommend this food truck! My apartment complex started hosting food trucks every Thursday and this was the first one we got to try. I ordered Alex's DUI and the carne asada fries for $20 flat. The hotdog was sooooo good. Bacon wrapped hotdog with pastrami, cheese and jalapeños. It wasn't inside the traditional hotdog bun either more like a perfectly toasted sweet bread. It was bomb! Usually I don't like hotdogs that much but this was really good! The carne asada fries came out on this huge plate. Definitely got what I paid for! The fries were nice and crispy and not all soggy from the meat and toppings. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I got the bacon wrapped hot dog with grilled onions and cheese, smothered in spicy mustard, sriracha and jalapenos! It was so big that I couldn't even hold it; I had to use a knife and a fork.
