So let me tell you about my experience with Wiggins Transport.... I hired movers about two weeks ago (at least) who had great reviews. Over the two weeks, I tried to pinpoint a time they would be showing up to my apartment. Finally the day before (Friday) I was told between 12 and 1. Yesterday at 1240, after I messaged them, I was told the current job was a little larger than expected. I asked what time at 1 and at 130, I was told 2. Then at 3, they told me 4. Finally at 430 they showed up at my apartment. Throughout the day I was trying to text/call and was hardly getting responses. While they were moving, they weren't very nice with my items. I have some wood pieces that are chipped, couch with white marks on it and that's just the beginning of what I'm noticing. Oh and I still need to haul my TVs over because they aren't liable for any TVs they move and if something happens, it is on me.... never shared that with me. For hiring movers, I woke up bruised, scraped and sore because while they were in my presence, I was working just as much or harder as them. I paid $200 because they knocked $100 off for being late. I will never use this company and I do not recommend them for anyone in the Hampton Roads area!! read more

I was going on deployment I needed to move out my apartment and I kind of waited to the last minute to get a U-Haul to put my stuff in storage and I gave them a call and they called me right back and got me on the schedule in the same day in and out with Great customer service professional. what they quoted me was exact price when completed. When I get back and move into my new place I will definitely be giving them a call again. five stars read more

Wiggins Transport was recommended to me by a friend and boy did they deliver!! They were on-time at 7 am (arriving to National Harbour, MD to move us to Va Beach area) and professional in every area. Handled very large, heavy furniture as well as fragile pieces with care and attention. 4 story townhouse filled the truck and they didn't miss a beat! I needed last minute help unloading a moving truck. I am pleased with the service I received. They were respectful of the property, polite, and Mr. Wiggins quoted me a fair price. Albeit, they were late arriving, but I had flexibility in my schedule and since they were accommodating my last-minute request, I was just thankful they showed up. If you are the first appointment of that day, and/or you I have flexibility in your scheduling, I would recommend their service. I had an appointment with Wiggins and when I contacted them for an ETA their phone went straight to voicemail. After trying to text them and call them several times, and 45mins after the scheduled start time, they finally texted me back stating they weren't going to make it to the appointment because they got into a car accident on the way. What's worse than their willingness to contact me sooner to let me know things had changed is the fact that they neither apologized nor try to reschedule with me for another day or time. Just a serious disappointment. I, however, did find a much better service who not only showed up on time but did an excellent job. So everything worked out in the end despite the unprofessionalism of Wiggins Transport. read more

I found Wiggins through Uhaul and the Yelp website. I was not disappointed at all. The guys were prompt and on time. They were really respectful and got the job done. We needed a treadmill moved upstairs I had called so many movers and they all had a three hour minimum. Wiggins guys got the job done in 10 min. They were reasonable, on time, and respectable. I usually never write reviews so this speaks volumes. Give theses guys a chance you will not be disappointed. read more

Wiggins Transport was referred to us through the U-Haul website. My husband and I had never used a moving service before and were skeptical. The owner, Linwood, called and set up a time with me sometime the week before we moved and the day of to tell us that they were running behind. I was glad they called and kept in constant communication with us. When they showed up they brought an extra guy to help. They got to our new apartment and unloaded our uhaul, went to our storage unit, loaded that up and drove it back to our apartment then unloaded the truck again in less than 2 hours. They were friendly, fast and affordable. You would be crazy to not hire them for your next move. I will never move again without help like this! read more

I would HIGHLY suggest this company. We just moved out of our apartment and into a house and they made it a breeze! We booked 4 hours and they did it in about 3! We shopped around and this company had the best price (we do our research). The guys that moved our things were very polite and listened to our every need. I bought a large couch from the Navy Exchange. Upon delivery, I discovered the couch would not fit through the stairwell of my four story beach house. My only option was to hoist it up to the 3rd floor balcony and bring it through the sliding door. I looked through Yelp and contacted a few movers. Some were expensive and most were unwilling, except Wiggins Transport. Wiggins Transport was reasonably priced and up for the challenge. Wiggins' team showed up within two hours, had the couch wrapped with blankets, plastic, and ropes. The team (four men) had the couch hoisted up three stories within 10 minutes. Nothing was damaged. The crew was friendly, enthusiastic, and highly professional. If you want a professional moving company who's outstanding, fast, and professional, call Wiggins Transport. I've used Wiggins transport twice. The first time was to move my things out of my home in Suffolk and into a storage unit in Suffolk. No problem. The second move was from said unit to a condo in Owings Mills, MD. The time of delivery was coordinated at the last minute and they didn't finish up until almost 1:00 am. Mind you I live in a condo. My other issue is they broke several items and when I texted Linwood to ask about filing a claim; you guessed it crickets. My friend was already prepared to use them for her future move to the area but has decided against it. I had a nice floor lamp from a furniture store and wondered why they left it in the garage. I went to get it to put it in the house and low and behold the weight from the base was missing (broken off) so the lamp is useless. Plenty of other items messed up. I will not recommend them as I have a conscious. read more

I'm giving this review for multiple reasons. At first contact I was happy with the price and seemed very friendly. I scheduled for May 10th at 2 o'clock for their service for two hours. They arrived at 4:15 and was taking a long time to give me a ETA which they were still a hour and a half late from that time but with a extra hand free of charge so I was like alright. I had a U-Pack trailer and was only allotted so much room and each foot I went over was a extra $125. So I told them to pack full and that to use space if capable all the way to the top. I didn't realize that by me telling them that, that it would leave all my furniture scuffed and what I'm most upset about is my brand new washer and dryer scratched up and even dented. They were quick and strong but they did not do a good job as far as packing efficiently to take care of my belongings and in a way that wouldn't have damaged my furniture. If I would have known I wouldn't have told them about my space limit (but even then they still went over 4 feet) and I would have spent the extra money to have packers that would have actually cared about my belongings. But I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. read more

Unfortunately the service provided was disappointing. I paid for 3 service men and only 2 arrived. Then they arrived 2 hours later than the scheduled appointment without a heads up. I had to text for updates. No follow up calls or anything. The 2 service men were great, but unfortunately towards the end I ended up with a damaged tv and dresser. I'm sure the extra hands paid for would have helped these men out. The manager did not charge me for the 2 hours the guys went over, but do not feel this situation was managed well. And still only communication was conducted over text. Very disappointed. read more

Anyone who knows me knows that I am always early arriving before most people...unless it's an emergency. I was shocked when the men from Wiggins Transport arrived at the pick up location before I did. Linwood & Malik were very professional, fast and reliable. They finished my moving job quicker than I expected which allowed me to get other things done. At first I was afraid to hire a moving company because I read so many negative reviews about other companies but when I found Wiggins Transport through the Uhaul website they had a lot of positive reviews which made me feel a lot better.
