Wigle Whiskey has been on my list since I moved to Pittsburgh. Sopped in on Sunday to buy a bottle to give to my dad. It was my first time here and we sampled so many delicious spirits that we walked out with 6 bottles! (There's a discount if you buy 6). We had a lot of fun tasting various spirits and learning about them. I told our server "this might be my new favorite place in Pittsburgh." I am ready to go back for happy hour and a tour! I also can't wait for their cocktails and cookies pairings for the holidays. Until next time, I'll be sipping Wigle from home!

The flights at the bar are very reasonably priced and nice pours for sharing.

My review is primarily based on the whiskey, it is definitely top notch, 10 out of 10 whiskey. The flavors across the board were unique and special. From straight to cask strength, flavored to canned, Wigle Whiskey takes their products seriously. We stopped in for a tasting and sat at the bar for a flight. Sadly, the bartenders are seriously lacking in both personality and knowledge of the products. No interaction from either of them and unable to answer some of the basic questions we had. We are avid distillery visitors across the country, we love the product and the mastery of it. Thank goodness for Nick and Braxton, they were the definite pros the night we were there. Nick was working in the store area and had full knowledge of everything on the shelves, no question was too hard and his friendliness had us forgetting our lackluster start! Nick even grabbed the manager and got us in on the final half of a tour, what a treat that was! Braxton not only quickly caught us up without skipping a beat but then spent extra time telling us the history and vision of Wigle. Our server on the tour, wish I had his name, was phenomenal, he created the perfect ending to our experience. Thoroughly impressed, we are definitely now huge Wigle fans and will continue buying the products!

Great variety of distilled spirits and craft cocktails made with their own spirits distilled on site. They offer tours and tastings that are informative and provides multiple opportunities to sample the product. .

Had a great experience on the whiskey tour! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was great to learn about Pittsburgh's history in regard to whiskey production and to be able to support a local business!

Stopped here recently for some drinks and apps. The setup makes for a good spot to stop during the warmer months, with part of the bar being outside. Shawn was our server and was awesome. He kept the bar lively and fun the whole time we were there. The drinks he made us were all fresh and delicious. My wife and I split buffalo chicken dip. It was one of the best I have ever had. It had a different consistency and flavor than traditional buffalo chicken dip, but it was great.

Wigle Whiskey has a new pop up, Stars, Stripes, & Spirits! They had really fun themed cocktails and my favorites were the Rocket Pop and Smashed Strawberry Lemonade. I haven't had a corn dog in forever and was so excited that they have classic food offerings like corn dogs and fried oreos. Our bartenders were super nice and efficient. The only thing I didn't love is that in the distillery side room there's only two AC units that couldn't keep up so they just opened the doors and all the hot air came in and unfortunately I run on the hot side. Hopefully that won't be the case in the future. The grand opening is TODAY (June 27th) and it only runs for three weekends through July 12th so get there while you can!

While visiting Pittsburgh, a friend and I scheduled the Wigle Distillery Tour. It started with a welcome cocktail. We got to spend an incredible hour with Gayle learning about Pittsburgh history and the history of Mr. Wigle. To say the tour was amazing would be an understatement. We had 6 people on the tour, but Gayle made each of us feel special. Her passion for Whiskey was on full display. We got to sample 6 different products during the tour (my favorite was the cinnamon whiskey) and afterwards you could have a sample of any other product. You also got 25% off a bottle or anything in the gift shop. We popped to the gift shop and chatted with Olivia who gave us some recommendations before Gayle stopped by to say goodbye one more time. If you are coming through Pittsburgh and are in the Strip District you have to come take the tour. And tell Gayle we say hello :)

Best smashburger in the strip district. Service is super fast at lunch and the drinks are top notch.

Located in the Strip District, Wigle Whiskey has a bar and restaurant and then offers an amazing tour and tasting experience every Saturday. They take you through their process, from using locally sourced grain to crafting award-winning rye, bourbon, gin, rum, and more. One of the highlights? Learning about Pittsburgh's Whiskey Rebellion--a wild and pivotal moment in U.S. history. The storytelling makes the experience even more immersive! The tour includes a spirit tasting, and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Wigle's craft. Whether you're a whiskey enthusiast or just looking for something unique to do, this tour is 10/10!

I met a new client there for an appetizer and drink. Nice place! Staff is very attentive. The grilled bread that came with the buffalo chicken dip was so good!

My first time eating at Wigle and since the renovation. A really nice dining area now and the food was really good. The drinks were fantastic - whiskey sour and espresso martini! The cheese curd was delicious with barbecue dipping sauce, which I never would have thought! The eggplant sandwich had a nice spicy kick and the eggplant was grilled tender. I've already been back after taking a cocktail class!

The events manager at this venue may be the worst in the city. Bad service. Bad management. Bad ownership. Avoid at all costs.

This is absolutely a treat for anyone with roots here or a fascination with industry and manufacturing. The highlights: Most tours are guided by former steelworkers and people with a first-hand involvement in the steel industry. You get a great overview of the plant, which was the center of life for this community and the lifeblood of the region for more than a century. Our tour placed a heavy emphasis on the engineering and technology of steelmaking, so if that's your thing, it's Christmas. And it's a minor miracle that these two blast furnaces have been preserved. I would suggest that they augment the tours with photos or videos that might help bring these hulking structures to life a bit more, and maybe insert some specific stories about immigrants and working families, union battles, and other colorful bits about Homestead. Sure, a windfall of donor support and a visitor center would go a long way to improving things on that score, but a little shift in emphasis could be done on a budget. Either way, Rivers of Steel is hugely important for preserving the region's steel heritage, and their efforts to extend that support to the community are vital.
