Goodlander is an amazing spot tucked away on Hamilton. If you're driving down you can easily miss it. They have amazing premade cocktails on tap known as "highballs". The drinks are delicious and there's always a variety. There are seasonal drinks as well! One of my favorites is a Mojito (pictured). With delicious drinks and an great price (usually between $7-10) this is my spot to unwind after a long day or to a place to catch up on a good book. The vibes are amazing and all of the staff are friendly and welcoming! One of the beautiful aspects of this place is their selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. I can't recommend this place enough!

Accidental find on yelp but SO glad my friend and I stumbled upon it. Right across the street from Jackworth's, Pittsburgh's one of a kind cocktail brewery. Many cocktails on tap to choose from and has more of a to go vibe for kegs of their drinks than a place to chill for a while. Kinda felt like a mix of a coffee shop vibe for front of house and a fun garage party in the back room. Their Chex mix was great alongside our beverages. I had the Mojito and Moscow Mule - both were excellent. Because it's from tap, don't expect garnishes or toppings but it is surprisingly really flavorful and I thought it was really affordable compared to Mojito's/Mule's at different places. Definitely will be stopping by for a mini keg in the future!

Wonderful cocktails, but I especially love the Gingerade, which is spicy fresh ginger and I can't get enough of it. Besides the front bar, there is a large event space in the back which is quite versatile. This place has reasonable prices, and a commitment to sustainability through recycling and reuse. The staff are amazing and welcoming.

This place is really cool! I wish they stayed open later for late night drinks. They have a menu with really good cocktails. The staff is welcoming and friendly. You have to try the Eastside! And if you like ginger-- I mean really like ginger-- you won't find a punchier mule in the city. They don't ferment or distill but they make all of their syrups and mixers on site. You can get two different sizes of growler for anything. There's 16oz and 32oz I believe. Plus they have this oolong seltzer that's nonalcoholic and absolutely delicious. Good vibes in here so definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking for a new bar in the city!

My favorite was the Eastside which had gin, cucumber, lime and mint.

No complaints about Blue Sparrow. The food was amazing and so accommodating. I have a nut, dairy…read moreand egg allergy & they let me look at the dairy free cheese ingredients to make sure it was all good! The pizza was amazing. My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.

I loveeeee coming to Cinderlands! Not pictured but you NEED to get a Cindy's Tea when you come here. They sell these in cans as well I always try and grab a pack if we don't bike here! Their crunch wrap is my favorite thing on their menu. If I'm not getting it as my meal I'm forcing it as a table shareable it is that good. Usually I just get their fries with it which is always yummy but this time I tried their mac and it was so delicious! The Chicken Caesar wrap was so good normally I think places never put enough dressing in them but this was perfectly dressed! We tried their Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon Salad and added chicken to it. Idk where I've been but watermelon on a salad?! AMAZING!!! I wouldn't take off or add anything else to this(except chicken clearly lol) it was so refreshing and light and perfect!

This location is huge so it's perfect for large groups. While the downstairs is primarily to go and…read morebar seating, the upstairs has full table service. This is a little different as they are set up with toast where you scan the QR menu and place your order and then they bring the food or drink to your table. You don't really have a server per se. We came in on a Friday afternoon around 4 o'clock and it was pretty quiet. We chose to sit upstairs and ordered the season of the month chicken wings. It was sour cream and cheddar dry rub. We did get them well done and I'm glad we did because it did make them crunchy here although they still weren't all that crunchy. The dry rub was actually really good, but it was a little bit like eating Cheetos as when you took your fingers away they were covered in orange powder. My husband tried their wheat ale - the easy golden. It was okay, but a little hop forward for him. They did have a arsenal cider on tap so I chose that for my beverage.

So have you seen that meme out on the InterT00bZ that's like "Hey let's go to that new beer place…read morethey have $27 warm hazy IPAs in the middle of a parking lot?" Yeah, that's the vibe I was getting at Velum. There was a lot to like and a lot to not like about this place, so I'll start with the bad and end on a positive note. First off, it's in an old brewery and it looks like a warehouse. I'm not sure if they still brew their own beers but it straight up looks like an old warehouse. I've seen abandoned warehouses that look less like a warehouse than Velum. Maybe some people like that vibe but I felt like the cops were going to bust in and shut the party down like a teen coming-of-age movie. The taproom is all the way in the back, and so are the bathrooms, so if you break the magic circle, prepare to get your steps in. There's no kitchen. They DO partner with a food truck but they're getting their own review. I paid $10 for an average cocktail and $8 for a 12 oz cider that frankly wasn't that great. Either better drinks or bigger drinks, please. And everything is community seating. I don't hate the idea but I didn't care for the vibe so when I found a smaller table my friend and I grabbed it and boarded it. With that being said, there was a lot to like too. First off, we were there for a pinball night, and they have a great selection of pinball tables there, both classic and modern. I really would have liked information on joining a pinball league, but that wasn't offered anywhere that I could find. Plus on that particular night it was $10 for all-you-can-play, so we definitely got our money's worth there. The staff that I did interact with were super nice. That goes a long way and saved this from being a worse review. And the place is dog friendly, which is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I had a decent night. But the question as always is if I'll go back. Unfortunately, probably not of my own accord. If there's another pinball event, I'll definitely go, but it's not going into my rotation of cool spots. Not every place is meant for me, and that's fine.

As a pickleball sports place, I'd give this place a 3. You are able to book indoor courts, but…read morethere is only 3 available-- 2 side by side and one perpendicular to it separated by a net. However, the floors are insanely slippery -- to the point that if you were playing quick plays or rapidly accelerating, I would be extremely cautious. Additionally, it's not clear when the floors transition from the smooth, slippery surface to a rough concrete where you could catch your feet. Between the 2 side by side courts, there's also a random pot hole/divot where you could easily roll your ankle. However, this brewery also offers exciting other experiences: arcade games including ping pong, pinball, etc., rock climbing upstairs, live sports TV, and obviously drinks as a bar. As a multi-faceted facility, there's a lot that you can do here. They also have a bunch of colorful murals, like the one of Mac Miller (rip) and of V for Velum. There's also free parking outside the facility and by the apartment complexes.
