This place has everything. There are baby chicks, pet food, clothes, pottery plants and so on. I usually get my bird seed here and bird feeders. I have scored some usual plants here including huckleberry bush. They also have good sales I got a birdbath once for $10. read more

Wilco is a great alternative to Lowes and Home Depot. In my locality, Lowes has gone downhill in terms of merchandise and service, especially their garden dept. Sure, California may be experiencing drought, but if you have a garden section, guess what? You need to water your plants. Lowes has started skipping that step but wouldn't dream of knocking a penny off plants that are already in distress when purchased. Home Depot does a slightly better job, but only by a nose. Shopping at Home Depot is generally unpleasant because the stores are, well, warehouses. Wilco has a much smaller garden section, but they tend what they have. They also intermix some unusual or unique plants with common ones which gives the feeling of shopping in a small nursery. Finally, their prices are better than either Lowes or HD. In addition, Wilco is the place to get bird seed for your outdoor birders like me. Lowes has rats they can't control so they quit carrying seed. HD went to tubs, but they don't have the variety that Wilco has. My only issue with Wilco is its sale of live chicks. I get it. Its a farm store. I disapprove but I get it. read more

Great products, love the store. My only complaint is it's the second time I've gotten the same cashier who doesn't acknowledge me or say hello, thank you, or goodbye. She seems very unhappy with her job and very unpleasant almost to the point where she's disrespectful. Maybe she needs a different position where she's not working with the public. read more

This is an interesting store carrying most everything a farmer could need plus it's a hardware, clothing, jewelry, shoe/boot, toy, magazine, backyard, pet and everything except lumber (have fence posts) and fishing equipment. They play Country Western music to boot. read more

I like my local Wilco store for everything else that I need. However, the warm water lasts for about 30 seconds and then it's freezing. The wash room itself has most of the supplies one would need. Turn up the water temp at your wash station! Thanks read more

First time visitor. We really enjoyed the variety of products- beautiful garden center, they even had some trees. Bird baths were reasonably priced. They also had a whole aisle devoted to bird and squirrel feeders...patio furniture, farm supplies and other fun items. We'll definitely be back. read more

Went to Wilco today for several hundred dollars worth of goods. Spent nearly $500. Inventory is great, product selection is good. Service is terrible and cranky and disinterested in helping. I bought my husband an expensive shirt, asked to keep it in the hanger. Can't have the hanger, as she tossed it behind her. I said please, she said even the manager won't let me have it. Would not even give me a bag for all my things. I spent a lot of money, a hanger and a bag is not asking for much. Rude at the cash register and rude in the back in clothing department. Won't be doing business there anymore. Even if I do own a farm and over a dozen horses in this county. read more

This store is amazing. When I heard it was going into a shopping area near where I live, I started stalking it until it opened. You better believe I was there on opening day, and I have the Wilco hat to prove it! Previous to this, I had never heard of Wilco, but was thrilled we would have it so close to us and conveniently located with ample, free parking. Wilco has such an incredible assortment of things from pet supplies, to work and leisure attire, to a pretty sweet selection of Yeti gear. They have some great sales including their bucket sale which I went back for a few times and scored amazing deals on things that otherwise would cost a pretty penny. I know they have pet grooming but I haven't ventured into that area yet, because I keep getting distracted by their adorable buckets of baby chicks and ducks. Oh my gosh, so cute. We have bought some rugged and useful pants for our blackberry removal, absolutely delicious Vesuvius tomato plants (we went back twice to get more after tasting them-incredible flavor!), and have stopped in more than once for that last minute paint touch up, tape or other project item. Although it's a pretty big store with a lot to choose from, sometimes the overall selection is limited, or the price is higher than if you bought the same item at home depot. That said, the personal connection with the staff, and the bright, clean store really sell the experience for me. I highly recommend this Wilco, and will be coming back-probably this weekend (and every weekend). read more

I like shopping here - great inventory. I don't know many places that I can buy a good selection of soils, nice work shoes, and fun bits and bobbles. The staff is unfortunate. The cashier looked at me like I was speaking another language and seemed shocked that she had to ring me up. The bigger issue - while browsing the clothes one of the ladies was going off about how kids are using litter boxes in schools because they identify as animals (which is untrue) and how pronouns have gone to far and that she doesn't understand all this gay stuff. I get it - i'm not the politics police. Have the opinions and values that you want - but be mindful at work. That's not the conversation people want to overhear while buying animal feed. read more

Awesome farm/hardware store! This place is clean and very well laid out. Very roomy inside you never feel crowded like other stores that are similar. They have a nice clothing/boot section as well. Some really nice brands are carried here and the staff is super helpful and friendly. Pets are welcome and they have a whole isle of toys and stuff as well as grooming area. I like the store. The staff is friendly and helpful. The selection is abundant. I come to get chicken supplies and other stuff for for property. Now they put all the chicken supplies in the warehouse and it can be a ridiculously long wait in line to pick it up. It's much easier to go to nearby Tractor Supply for the same feed, so I hope they correct this situation. They did respond to an email complaint that I made about it. I've been into Wilco several times looking for various things from pet supplies to gardening supplies. They have a wide variety of everything you could want or need including stuff for your horse, chickens, garden, home, fire pits, barbecues & smokers, tools (chain saws, blowers, compressors, tool set, hedgers, drills and anything else you can imagine), western clothing and boots, they even have a few children's toys such as plastic horses, tractors and more. I've walked passed the paint department and was very impressed, though I haven't had to purchase anything from that department yet, I know I will be soon. Everyone I've come in contact with has been very helpful and cheerful. I really like their garden department, plenty of plants, seeds, and everything you need to grow whatever your hearts desire. Prices for what I've looked at so far seem very reasonable as well. I have to say I've used their dog grooming services more than the actual store. Mainly since my pups toe nails seem to grow like crazy. The groomer we've been seeing is Dejane (Deja for short) and she is fabulous with animals. When I first stopped by to see what they had to offer she described the various services. She also made sure to mention that I had to have a current vaccination on file with them for my dog otherwise they couldn't work on him. I've talked to her about how his toe nails were growing fast and I wasn't one to use trimmers because I'm always afraid of cutting the quick which I've done with a prior dog and let me tell you blood was gushing every where! Deja explained about using a dremel and how using it every 2 weeks will help the quick to recede back and then we can get his toe nails down to a manageable length and not come every 2 weeks after that. She's also given him 2 baths, cleaned him all up, you know the whole spa day works except no hair cut since he's a short haired dog. Deja really has a way with animals and my Rocko just adores her. Sadly she is leaving, moving out of state shortly but there is another (sounds like I'm talking Luke & Leia in Star Wars. ha ha ha), Jodie, who is capable and loves dogs. In my opinion the prices are very reasonable for pet grooming at Wilco. Nail trims are $10 and dremeling is $15. Bathing prices vary depending on the size of the dog but they are still reasonable. They also have monthly specials that you can add onto your service. For instance, the first time I took Rocko they had a special where you could add 3 additional items to the bathing service for $8 which I took advantage of. Wilco is located in a strip mail where there is plenty of parking, along with fast food, restaurants, a smog check facility, other stores including a UPS Store. Wilco is an Oregon based company. Petaluma was their first California store, otherwise they have approximately 21 or so stores throughout Oregon and Washington and they are a farmer owned business. read more

Went in to look around and bought some gardening soil. You order up front where they have photos of their selection (without prices) and they give you a ticket to take to the back for pickup. We bought 3 cu ft bag but the guy loaded our car with the 2 ft bag. Upon arriving home, we noticed the error and called them immediately. They checked and said they're actually all out of the larger bag and that they're not sure when more will arrive. We asked if they could just refund us the difference but they refused and said we would have to come in even though it was their fault. Terrible customer service. So basically they sold us something out of stock and gave us a smaller item! Most things are overpriced. Would recommend going to Friedman's or other home improvement store for most items. read more

We are so happy that Wilco opened. The store is clean, customer service is very friendly, it has a large selection of products that is well organized large. We also use the dog grooming services here and would highly recommend it. It is the first time that we have picked up our dog from a groomer in less than 90 minutes and had her wagging her tail a mile a minute. The cut was exactly what we asked for and made her look quite cute. You can see for yourself in the attached picture. They also have baby chicks inside the store which is an extra bonus.. I prefer supporting local stores and employee's over shopping on the internet. Sites like Amazon and Chewy etc. But it is hard to keep supporting local businesses over the internet when good customer service is not provided. I was treated rudely when mentioning the price tag and the price charged was incorrect. I can get better prices online but usually will spend the extra money to purchase in stores locally, but what's the point if the customer service is so poor. This store needs to reevaluate their place in this town before they become like every other business to share that address. Going to skip Wilco and shop elsewhere for now! read more

Wilco is way over priced!!! Suggest you only go here as an absolute last resort. Example I saw today: A 25ft role of electrical 14/2 Romex at Wilco was $42.99, nearly double Friedman's cost of $23.68. So unreasonable. I was here to find an item Friedman's was out of (didn't find) and nearly everything I just bought at Friedman's was double the cost here. Not a cost friendly store. read more

Went here yesterday, for the first time. It's a big store, with a variety of stuff. Big clothing department ( lots of men's), big variety of pet products, including some horse stuff. Middle of the store is like a traditional hardware store, and there's a decent- sized garden department. Store looked well- stocked and shelves were pretty neat. Prices( unless something's on sale) were on the high-side. If you're nearby, I could see going here to get what you need- we're in Santa Rosa,tho, and will stick to one of the many stores here. I debated on giving it 3 stars ( instead of 2) because the lack of customer service here is really non- existent. Asked 1 employee where the canning stuff was, and he pointed and said " over there". In a store this size, " over there" could be anywhere. Also, I got a few small plants, and the young woman at the register seemed annoyed that she had to wait on me. There were 3 or 4 employees up front, and they were all talking loudly amongst themselves because they had no customers. Pretty sure Wilco can do a better job when hiring staff to interact with customers. Regardless, we won't be back. Customer service alone was enough to keep me from returning. read more

The last two times Jodie greeted me, remembered my dogs and we talked about the style of cut and nail grinding. Jodie asked me specific questions about the style of cut and she clipped the girls exactly as we discussed. Kudo's to Jodie! They hire the worst employees. We needed help finding two things. Clearly wandering around trying to find it. Couldn't find the tool. Walked up to three employees we had passed twice who were huddled together talking to each other. Asked for help. One snickered at us and then ignored us. The next one did finally helped us find one of the items. Though she got lost doing it. Finally we got what we needed went to check out. No one was in front of us and there were four cashiers. Who all turned their back on us to then converse about a Starbucks drink order. A minute or two later one of them chose to acknowledge us so we could check out. I wish I could say this is a one off. But it's so common is almost laughable. We only go here when it's completely unavoidable. Otherwise I would say save your money spend it at Friedmans or Home Depot where the people aren't intentionally rude. read more

I've been waiting to write this review and today is the day. I've shopped at Wilco for things when I don't feel like making the trip to Lowe's or just ti see what's new. Today I went in to buy paint. It was the same thing today as usual- a paint department with no one at the paint desk. So as I usually do, I go up front and have to interrupt the cashier and say please get someone to help me in paint dept. She called for someone. I waited and waited but no one came. So I left. I had planned to walk back to the garden area but I was so disappointed I just left. Also, It's a strange environment and no one who works there is friendly to the customers. So I will probably still run in and grab the occasional thing but I can't recommend this store. read more

She gave us a discount due to a previous less perfect interaction with a previous dog groomer (no longer employed there). I have tried really hard to like this store but decided today that I am not shopping there any more. The staff, especially those at the register, are extremely unhelpful. Today was not too bad but other times I have been in the store and asked for help finding something and the results have not been great. In addition often if there is more than one person behind the register they are more interested in visiting one another than the people standing in line. The store is over priced and the plants look really bad. They did have some sunflower that another gentleman and I were looking at and interested in getting. However....much like most of the plants, these did not have any prices. So....we passed on getting them. I mentioned the lack of pricing to the person who rang up my sale and that they may want to mention to their manager. I doubt it will happen, which is too bad. I could go on but suffice it to say everytime I leave the store I have the same very disappointed feeling. So like I said as much I have tried...I will be spending my money elsewhere. read more

Petaluma's Orchard Supply Hardware was recently replaced by Wilco. Unfamiliar with Wilco, I went in to give it a try. Wilco is a chain store and they had a really great inventory - much better than Tractor Supply (also a chain store). But, I was disappointed by Wilco's prices. Surprisingly, Wilco's prices were either the same as or higher than our own independently owned and local Rivertown Feed & Pet Store. If a chain store is going to have the same or higher prices than a locally owned store - it is always best to support a local business!!! read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT (Patrick) We were going here for dog grooming and working with Gabby. She was amazing! We received a call that she was no longer with Wilco and I needed to reschedule my appointment that was 2 days away. They let me know that the new groomer could take her at 8am. We adjusted our schedules to work with the new time and date. 8:15 rolls around and the new groomer is no where to be found - already causing and issue with other commitments we had going on this morning. We go to speak to a manager - Patrick - and he calls the new groomer only to find out that oops he missed the bus so he won't be in until 930. Patrick is absolutely not helpful or accommodating at all in trying to rectify the situation. What.a disappointment - clearly they do not hold their employees accountable, follow up on scheduling to see if clients should be called, and the manager has no care in customer service. read more

Customer service at its absolute worst. I made an appointment for a grooming at 4pm. I show up 5 mins early to ensure I have time to give them my dogs vaccine info and go over what grooming needs. The sign on the door says come in, I go in and wait, and wait, I press the buzzer for service and wait and wait some more. At 4:05 I go out and ask an associate if anyone was in the grooming dept and she looked annoyed saying no and went to ask someone about it. Came back to tell me the groomer was "a couple minutes late" - at 4:05 she's already more than a couple mins late but I waited till 4:20 until I was tired of waiting and feeling ignored. I left and got a call at 4:30 from the groomer saying oh you have an appointment - I said yes I HAD an appointment at 4....she sounded perplexed and then acknowledged it was 4:30 now and suggested I come back anyway if I wanted. No thank you. I would have hung out if anyone was honest about just how late she was gonna be. Call before my appointment and say "hey sorry we're gonna be in at 4:30" and I won't have to take PTO from work to bring my dog in at 4. Absolutely poor customer service. Wanted to give my business to a smaller company but that was a fail. Don't waste your time here. read more

Do not use this place for grooming your dog. I brought my 5 month old puppy into be groomed he's been getting groomed since he was 2 months old normally from WAGS In rohnert park. I will say this right now! Do NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE! I dropped him off and they said it would take serveral hours not even an hour in, they said they were done that I need to pick him up IMMEDIATELY, it showed up spam risk call so originally I I did not answer. Then, I saw I had two voicemails 3 minutes apart. My puppy cries the first few minutes in his crate at home which is normal I told them, she kept arguing that it was " not ok". I called the store tell them I was worried about my puppy I was in line at Costco, 35 minutes I get there. The lady's co worker was like " he was biting the crate" has been crying non stop it's liability. When I got my dog he could run ANY Faster out of there. He started to poop, because he had take a POOP! That is why he was probably freaking out because he had take a SHIT! The fact that these people do not take your dogs out to use the restroom, they are clearly not dog people if they can't ask your dog out. My dog normally cries but he doesn't normally ever bite crate or bark the entire time. The rudeness and excuses they had were completely UNACCEPTABLE. If you are looking for place to groom your dog, go to WAGS in rohnert park. I should not have taken my dog anywhere else, the only reason I didn't because they were booked out 2 weeks he needed bath. Now I have him on schedule every 4 weeks till the end of the year. Take my advice do not use the dog grooming place. Michael: He had to POOP! They should have taken him outside! That is it his normal behavior!!! He was trying to be let out to use the bathroom! THEY IGNORED HIM. Shame On you!!! read more

My regular groomer was booked for the next few weeks and so I took a chance scheduling a groom here. The groom was done in under 2 hours which is a first and way under the estimated time. I see now that it was a very rushed job. As you can see in the picture, the fur in between my puppy's paw pads wasn't trimmed. Amongst other issues there is lack of attention to detail. Also , my dogs came home looking sad, I don't know if this was due to them being tired? But I've never seen them lack so much energy. read more
