Cute little store with a fun variety of animals, including live chickens, quails, and more. It's always enjoyable to walk around, browse, and see all the different animals and products they have available. We came here to buy soil for our bamboo plants and were impressed by the large selection of gardening supplies. The staff was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions and helping us find what we needed. The store is conveniently located across from Stark's Steak & Seafood, so whenever we're waiting for a table, we like to stop by and browse while passing the time. Great business & knowledgeable staff. One stop shop for any dog needs such as leashes, collars, grooming, toys, natural bone knuckles for chewing and vast assortment of dog food labels, wet, and dry. I've been there many times and I'm usually at the cashier getting rung up in less than three minutes. Then Tamera (think that's her name) swooped in, cape or no cape, I'm not sure and declared, "I'm the Harness Lady." And she lived up to it. She sized up my dog, picked the perfect harness like she was defusing a bomb, and gave me pro tips that made me look like I've been secretly training with dog whisperers. Went yesterday to purchase sweaters for my dog. Came back today to return them because they were too small. No problem since I had my receipt. The friendly sales person helped me put a larger size on my dog so I could make sure that it would fit. They have an amazing selection of dog foods in many price ranges. I was deliberately between 2 brands and asked a salesperson for advise. The staff is knowledgeable. So many dog toys and treats. It is nice to purchase locally and not from a large chain. Theodore's first visit to WFC. I usually stop to get his treats on my way home but this time he got to come. We were greeted by multiple team members outside and inside the store. This visit we grabbed Holistic Tails CBD treats. Since it was his first trip I let him pick out a toy or treat, only caveat was he has to be able to carry it. He was eyeing the knuckles but settled with a pig ear. He happily carried his ear to the register, and here John greeted us and checked us out. While sitting in the middle of a smoked out Crowley Lake. Our daughter called and said Bentley wasn't eating the food that our son had bought from Costco. ( he has eaten it in the past but doesn't like it) Immediately panic set in, our fur babies our such huge part of our lives and we def don't like to hear their not eating. I remembered that I read that Western Farm delivered so I called them and explained to them our issue. Usually they want an order before noon for delivery that day & I was a little past that but she made it happen! The transaction was easy, friendly and in less than two hours Bentley was eating his delicious Orijen that he loves. An added bonus was a little box of sample treats for the doggos and me! I love Western Farms! Been coming here since I was a kid. I loved coming here to see the animals while getting supplies for our pets. Now I bring my daughter to buy pet supplies here and see all the animals. The workers are all very friendly and seem happy to be there. Everyone there is knowledgeable about their products and most animals. I've also noticed most of the workers have been there for years and years which is always nice. As with most local Ma & Pa stores you might pay a little more but is worth it for the great service and to see cute baby chicks, cats up for adoption, guinea pigs, and other little critters plus most customers bring their dogs. There is a dog washing station out front as well and they sell local plants in spring and summer. They have a private lot that always has plenty of room and there's also street parking. read more

I live two towns away from western farm center in Santa Rosa. I choose not to spend my money at tractor supply which is closer to my home. Today I stopped there to purchase a few items. When it was my turn at the register, I said hello to the older Caucasian male who just looked at me and did not say a word. Yet he was speaking with the older Caucasian ladies who were in front of me. With the blatant rudeness I should have left my items or moved to another cashier, Regretfully I didn't. These days consumers are being conscientious of where they spent their money. I'll be hesitant to go back. read more

I'm a regular at Western Farm for all my pet needs but my absolute favorite thing about it is the dog washing station outside. It's the best in Santa Rosa hands down. Bought two pullets about 6 weeks ago. They were $25 each. Bought two more today. They were $30 each. I asked the guy cleaning the cages what was up with the price increase and he said that he thought that the price was increased because they couldn't keep them in stock at the lower price. When I asked the guy at the register he said inflation. I was polite to him but I won't be here. That answer is a lie and this is nothing more than price gouging and greed on the part of Western Farm. read more

Love Western Farms. Mostly go for pet supplies but also love their doggy wash area. The best I've been to. The shampoo, flea shampoo, conditioner comes right out of the faucets and it seems to be very good quality. Also great dryers which are also used in the same tub. Very easy set up. I believe 14.00 which is well worth it. I also go to get my pets vaccines there thru VIP who are there on Sundays. Everyone that works for Western Farms is very friendly, love how they greet you and say goodbye/thank you at the doors. I remember my mother wanted a canary and there were quite a few in the cage flying around but she had to have a male as those are ones that sang. The kid was so patient trying to find the one singing bird out of all of them. My mother had that bird for many years which brought her so much joy! read more

They have many other pet items including horse, birds, reptile, fish, and more. They are really great canine close as well. When you arrive, if you call ahead and place a food order, they will bring it out to your car when you call and let them know you were in the parking lot. I just love that. I returned to this place when my little dog ran out of food. I had such a good experience on my first visit that it made sense to come back. On my second visit I found the same friendly, efficient staff as expected. But on that second visit I realized another reason to love this place. It is a business that sells apparently every type of pet food and farm animal feed products. They even have a selections of collars, leashes, toys, cages, etc. But what they don't have is the soulless hype and the poorly paid "just a job" poorly trained employees. I don't know what they're paid of course but I do know that the staff here are either highly knowledgeable or know who to ask among the staff to get a useful answer. No big corporate hype. Just a decent and quality inventory and genuinely animal friendly sales people. This is my "go to" place. I recommend it to everyone. You can rely on quality products being in stock and friendly, competent people to assist you. My dog, Clyde, loves coming here. Gave my pupper his first-ever bath here recently. Excellent bathing station; towel provided. I think shampoo /conditioner was also dispensed by the machine, but I brought my own puppy shampoo. It was a great experience for me (my puppy didn't exactly love it, but he survived). So much better than trying to deal with a slippery bathtub at home! I also discovered a fantastic product here: the Dirty Dog Mat. (Made by Dog Gone Smart). I haven't seen this product in any other pet store! Bought it hoping it would work well, and it does!
