Strawberry Lavender Kombucha
Darren A.

Sergio was an AMAZING person to deal with. Great story teller. Very laid back and easy to talk to. It's always more enjoyable talking to someone when they have a genuine smile while talking. I have a tendency to trust them more. Sergio was that person. I don't know if he's in 'sales' there and just happened to be around when I came in... but he was the PERFECT person for me to talk with, being a kombucha 'novice'. He broke everything down for me and made some GREAT suggestions. Flavors Tried: 1) Strawberry Lavender- SCORE!!! 2) Ginger Sage - SCORE!!! 3) Watermelon Hops - SCORE!!! 4) Lemon Sage - SCORE!!! 5) ICARO Yerba Mate Hibiscus - SCORE!!! 6) ICARO Yerba Mate Mint - SCORE!!! Yummmo!!!

The owners Meaghan and Shane opened this in 2022 on York road and it's just a delightful experience. I don't make it out here very often but it's a great place to eat food they feels good and to support a local business. The prices aren't cheap but it's worth it for the quality. My favorite is the super chicken (I always order this) and for a drink the house paw paw soda it's made with the native fruit paw paw (do research on this it's amazing) that they make into a vinegary shrub with soda water. It's so yummy. The quality shines here as well as the light airy high ceiling interior and the plants. This is a must visit and honestly a little slept on. Lisa was my server on my most recent visit and she was so sweet. She told me her wife works here and she was filling in as a neighbor and a patron! We love that.

We discovered their kombucha at a farmers market in Washington, DC and liked it enough to make another trip from NYC to Baltimore, so we could try all the flavors. They are serving "real" kombucha - complete with all-natural effervescence - and every flavor truly impressed us. They range from superfood-forward classics like ginger and turmeric to fun seasonals like smoked pineapple to mind-blowing botanical mashups like hibiscus/mint/linden flower. They described them as "guzzleable," and let's just say we guzzled! They have an equally impressive lineup of house fermented veggies that are all unique. We loved the extra spicy kimchi and the green tomato ferment. Their food menu is a colorful and creative celebration of all their homemade and locally sourced fermented and other food items. There were plenty of vegan options. We loved the Hex Powerhouse sandwich (packed with veggies!!) and the mushroom kimchi sandwich, both served on their homemade focaccia. We really loved the food and drinks and the great service from Hunter who walked us through the menu, kept our glasses full, and even let us try some off-menu ferments. We can't wait to come back!

Parking was a little difficult because there is street parking but I managed to find a spot. Before venturing to the tables of the popup vendors, I decided to check out the inside of the brewery. There was a pretty good amount of seating and space inside. It seemed very welcoming to families and pets as I saw quite of few of them with small children and their dogs. I didn't plan on purchasing a beverage because I'm not a big beer drinker and if I do partake, it's usually sours. They did have one sour on tap but it was only 3.8% abv and the description didn't really sound like anything that I would enjoy. I saw that they had 2 types of frozen drinks with house made spirits. I opted for the orange crush slushy. It was not only delicious but I felt a nice buzz (I believe they said it was 6% abv). It's a cool place that I would definitely recommend to my friends that enjoy beer.

The mango slush was a bit too sweet for my liking, but contained a good balance of alcohol to mango flavor. There's a cute tuxedo cat roaming around as well!

What a fun brewery!…read more My brother had a birthday gathering here this year - we were able to comfortably seat a group of 15-20 people in the outdoor picnic section area. Highly recommend this spot for groups looking for a place to gather and socialize. The space is deceivingly large; there are multiple indoor spaces all within a quick stride from a long bar with dozens of beer taps. The outdoor space is even larger than what's available indoors; their vast street level patio/deck space is full of picnic tables and benches that are perfect for larger groups when the weather is nice. And yes, their outdoor patio is pet friendly. While the brewery itself doesn't serve food, there was a food truck (that looked to be there quite often) set up in the outdoor area that had several good options. I had their burger and fries which was exactly what I needed after an afternoon of brews. The beer itself was tasty; I had several of their hazy IPA's which I've grown to enjoy. They also offer a very solid selection of N/A beer options; some of the folks in our group enjoyed them and gave them great reviews. I didn't get a chance to check out the arcade portion of the brewery, but yes, this is a barcade as well. If you're looking for an inclusive, energetic brewery to check out, definitely keep Peabody on your list.

It's a Barcade, and again, if you're a Baltimore Orioles fan, this is definitely a destination to check out. It's very inclusive, and if you're part of the LGBTQ community or a person of color, it feels like a safe space. It's a great venue with a wide open area, and when they're hosting special events, I definitely recommend going. Overall, it's a great spot. Customer service was great and again if you are a fan, there's always someone in there that could talk sports or video games with you.

And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties. Plus you bring your own cards and board games to play as well. I will so definitely return.

The old church and architecture is so warm and inviting-- it was still decorated and lit for Christmas so it felt extra festive. It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! Thank you to all of the kind people at The Ministry of Brewing! We will be back.
