I fell in love with their Orange and Ginger Kombucha after trying a glass at Lake Anne's Brewhouse. I drove to MTO Kombucha's tap room at Flint Hill, VA on a lovely Saturday afternoon and was rewarded with a wide selection of kombucha on tap! They even customize bottles of kombucha for you on the spot hence the name MTO which stands for made-to-order. I tried many different combinations and flavors but still chose to buy three bottles of my first love, Orange and Ginger, and a bottle of coffee-flavored kombucha. My Favorite organic Booch brewery in Virginia! The mixologist Ruddy is super friendly very formative , we were treated to a tasting in Saturday morning with over 34 drinks at the bar. MTOK are homemade and founded by a Ralph Craft a Ret Marine.Kamboucha is a probiotic SCOT symbolic Colony of Bayern's. And yeast, what that was a lot to pronounce. I know Old Bust Head is right next door, but don't make the mistake of skipping a visit to MTO too! I walked in expecting to try 1-2 samples and then leave with a pint of my favorite one, but I ended up trying at least 20 flavors and flavor blends and loving every single one of them. The guy behind the counter, Ruddy, was so knowledgeable about each one, and even let us try some combinations he had come up with himself. Definitely go, you won't regret it, and you'll leave with a belly full of kombucha and probably at least 3-4 pints (or a whole growler, no judgement) to enjoy later as well. read more

MTO has completely changed my opinion of kombucha! The first time I drank kombucha was two years back when I grabbed some off a grocery store shelf. I wasn't pleased with the experience at all and never thought I'd find myself enjoying it. Determine to change my mind, my girlfriend took me to MTO. Upon arriving we realized we had mixed up their hours. Despite our late arrival we were greeted with joy and waited for a costumer in front of us to finish ordering their drinks. The man behind the bar then help us find exactly what we wanted and encouraged us to try try few of his favorite blends. His excitement and knowledge of kombucha led us to purchase some amazing tasting kombucha blends we never would have purchased otherwise. I finished my jar of kombucha before I even made it home and wished I had more. I will be going back without a doubt. The quality of their products is outstanding. Their service is outstanding. I purchased a bottle this morning at Kroger for $3.99 a jar. Love kombucha and liked the idea of supporting local business. This was the worst kombucha I've ever had. It is way too sour and tastes like vinegar. Strong smell when opening the lid. Not sure if it was over processed or just a bad batch. Can't drink it....down the drain it goes. read more

I was very excited to find a kombucha bar. I've tried there kombucha from hidden julles cafe. The mixologist who helped us and was very professional was Chaz (spelling?). He was able to suggest mixing flavors until we all found a flavor we liked. His wealth of knowledge and how he presented it was friendly, as if we were talking to family. We left not only satisfied with kombucha flavors but satisfied with the conversations and laughs. He should be in the position to train other staff members on conducting the front bar. My husband, sisterinlaw, and I will be back, and will bring our previous glass jars to refill. The weekend can't come fast enough! read more

I would say, go for the experience, but the actual product could use some refinement. A1! You feel the calming and medicinal effects after the 1st sip. Good taste as well. I've tried a few other companies, and they are nothing compared to this. We found this place completely by mistake. We stopped in for their free tastings and it was fantastic. The guy working behind the counter had great personality and a ton of energy. He gave us 6 samples and basically figured out the best flavors I've ever had. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves kombucha or anyone who is curious. I drove down on a Saturday afternoon because the flavors I wanted to try weren't available near me. It is sold in several places close to where I work, but not much variety. I also had several other ppl I work with that wanted full growlers of their favorite flavors.
