First time at Wild Bill's. I purchased a glass pipe. Within two weeks of light use, the glass around the hole in the bowl broke and left the hole huge. I only noticed it when I inhaled half the weed in the bowl. I never found the chip, maybe I inhaled or swallowed it? I went to the store to show them and get a replacement pipe, but the staff wouldn't replace it. They said heat makes glass pipes break. They didn't care if the broken glass ended up in my body. 30+ years experience with glass pipes and never had one break. It is obviously a thin, poorly made pipe. Even the bottom is bad, the flat part is just a dot, so the pipe tips over whenever I set it down. I paid about $25 for the defective pipe and got no customer service to stand behind what they sell there. The staff is too young and unknowledgeable.They also sold me some cleaner for $10. that is simply Acetone, you know, nail polish remover. Don't go there!! read more

One of my favorite Saturday or Sunday afternoon hangouts. The place has a nice cigar selection with better prices when compared to Birmingham or Royal Oak. The staff are very friendly and know most of the regular customers by name. The large backroom is the really great part of this place. Big soft leather couches, television, and you can bring your own food and drink in here. Really good place to watch afternoon sports, work, or just hangout. Monthly cigar party is a cheap and really fun time. $10 gets you beer, wine, cigar, food and raffle ticket for some great prizes. I have nothing good to say about this location. Overpriced. Discount day is still overpriced. There are other shops that are smaller and have less stock that somehow manage to sell things much cheaper than them and when they have discount days you get a real discount. The new staff knows nothing. You get blank stares from kids who you know more about vaping than they do. I will never go there again I made the mistake of going there last night and of course left empty-handed and chuckling about how the kid behind the counter knew nothing about specific coils. If you want overpriced Smok products then this is the shop. If you want to buy something and not get a receipt and have it break in two days (with the no returns and no exchange policy) than this is the shop. They used to sell decent Vape stuff and they used to know their products but the staff is now a bunch of kids who don't look like they know much of anything which is sad. Been going to this store for about a year now and have had absolutely no issues, all of the employees were friendly and helpful. However today I decided to buy a glass water pipe, brought the item home and filled it with water. Than hit the item with no product in it to make sure I had the right amount of water. The price was broken on the downstem. So I decided to call the store to see if I could exchange it for a different one. Keep in mind this is all within an HR and half of me leaving the store. I was told there was absolutely nothing they could do for me without a receipt from the person that actually sold me it. I thought I was getting a good deal since the employee told me they just dropped the price on it.. most likely because they knew the item was defective. The are ok.There are a couple of guys that are helpful but most are not. Nobody really cares,they want your money and that is it! My coils were burning out after 1 day and at nearly $5 a piece that's crazy,I have heard other people complaining about their coils also burning up really fast,so many that there are now a ton of help videos on youtube with tips and tricks to make coils last longer (mine used to last 3-4 weeks),Anyway,went to wildbills for help,told them about coils burning and what did I get , A Blank stare and was even told that is how long they last".Yea Thats all they last 1-3 days". So I stopped smoking Cigs by vaping and now I am going to be paying $5 a day per coil plus liquid and new batteries,etc.etc. I thought I found another place better but they are the same.$$$$$ My advise look on-line and/or shop around for machines etc. read more

Horrible location I had purchased some items here that were defective and came in 3 days later to exchange the item for a working same item which was told to me that it was ok to exchange when I called about the situation and informed management about the defective item. He told me come on in and he will exchange the item. That was not done when I got there I had contacted headquarters that was also very unhelpful and accused me of wanting to return the item without a receipt which was not the case... I was trying to again explain the situation that a defective item was sold to me and I had not realized it until I opened the package... So at first they started off as a tobacco shop. That's all they did for quite some time and was make their money off the back of it and it screws into all the joy is more recent days. Especially those in Michigan where medicinal is legal and the recreational is not far away. In a state like ours a wild bills becomes all that warm Porten because of their attached portion known as vapor A headshot in. It sounds to patients and is attached to most wild Bill locations and states that it has some form of legalization. I can say after being to Las Vegas a place that excepts all 25 cards and the matter what state or what their laws are in allowed to smoke in their wonderful state, I can tell you I saw almost every commercialized type of smoking item while I was there. That said, the three trips I have spent at wild bills were 10 times the education and more so in value. Because they have a little of everything and not just all glass or all pans, etc. They give the patient the ability to see what's on the market take that home with the educate their product lines and then make a final decision and get that from wild bills. Should wild bills have close to what you want but not exactly, they are more than willing to order it special for them. Lastly, it is important to note that on Wednesday is alone they offer A 25% discount on all vapors items. friendly service...if you're white. as a person of color i am not in the habit of arbitrarily calling a business racist for poor service, but when literally everyone else in the store is white and being treated differently--better--than i am (to the extent where even the customers themselves notice a difference) there is no other conclusion to arrive at. during my visit the store was empty except for one white female employee, helping one white male customer with a purchase. she looked up at me upon entry but said nothing. that was fine, until i was done browsing and walked back up to the counter to patiently wait my turn for assistance with a purchase. "I'll be with you in a minute," she said coldly. i said no problem. a few minutes passed and i could hear her in the next room really going far above and beyond to help her one customer. a few more minutes went by, and a white couple walked in after me. another employee, older white male, magically appeared and asked them if they needed help. they saw me waiting and the lady apologized as if she cut in front of me or did something wrong. i assured her SHE was fine. so as she began asking about one of the silicon pipes, i heard the other customer leave and the other female employee appeared...and brushed past me to answer the couple's question. so now there are TWO employees helping this couple and no one willing to help me. as i turned to walk out, only then did the male employee ask if i needed help. i was able to get the one lousy item i needed, he rang me up with nary a smile or friendly word and insincerely told me to have a good night. never have i simply walked into a near-empty store and had the entire staff go out of their way not to help me and go so blatantly above and beyond for literally every other customer in the store. when the poor treatment is so obvious that even other customers feel obliged to apologize, the message is pretty clear. i'll gladly drive the three miles out of my way to the Hazel Park location, where the staff is always friendly and i've never had an issue. if it's whites-only business this particular location wants, they can have it. read more

Wild Bill's is definitely the worst smoke shop I have been to in my life. With unknowledgeable associates, high prices, and snobby managers with their uniforms on too tight; Wild Bill's has failed me time and time again. I will never visit another Wild Bill's if it was the last smoke shop on Earth. I am a regular consumer. I buy everything: cigarettes, cigars, candles, kratom, cbd, incense, glassware, ashtrays, etc. I am 34 years old and I have white-ish skin. What's the deal Wild Bill's? I second Regan L.'s review. I have yet to visit a Wild Bill's and be treated anywhere near five star service. Their staff is aggressive, unknowledgeable, and the corporate vibe permeates the glass displays. Their prices are higher than your hole-in-the-wall smoke shop which makes no sense whatsoever since they are a big business. Oh wait, that actually makes total sense. They're corporate and therefore don't care about the customer and they try to squeeze us for every penny. This business philosophy of theirs is also reflected in their selection; which is minimal, limited, and always outdated. I have yet to meet one staff member who has enough experience to help me find the right product for me; be it tobacco product, glassware, kratom, cbd, etc, etc. Their service could be described as bipolar: meaning that they either totally ignore you or they follow you around, card you (I'm 34 years old), rush you, and don't create a friendly atmosphere. Their staff are not experienced and they are guards and cash registers. Management is rude and overworked and their service associates are usually just their to collect minimum wage. I could offer Wild Bill's some advice on how to improve their service, but I don't get paid for that. I'm not sure if they treat white people better like Regan L. said, but I can tell you there are smoke shops that are much better and actually care enough to help their customer's find the right product. For example, if you are willing to travel to Roseville, there's a place called Smoker's Alley right on Gratiot between 11 mile and 12 mile. Their staff is genuine, helpful and knowledgeable; they have the best selection of kratom, cbd, and glassware of any shop I have seen in the Detroit Metro area; and they aren't just trying to sell you products they know nothing about. They even have spray paint and other cool novelty items. Secondly, I'd go to The Roadshow which is also on Gratiot in Roseville. If you're looking for cigars, Churchill's Cigar Shop is a cigar-shop/bar which is really fancy and interesting. If you just want cigarettes you can go to any smokeshop, grocery store, or gas station, but, if you want to experience a real smokeshop, I would visit Smoker's Alley. I wish that more of these types of stores would open up west of Van Dyke but I guess city ordinances permit Wild Bill's to treat their customers horribly and wont allow for a smoke shop's with good vibes to exist. I am grateful to the city's of Roseville and Ferndale for permitting non-corporate smoke shops to serve the community. If you are visiting Detroit and checking yelp for the right place, don't bother with Wild Bill's and visit a smokeshop with more to offer. If you don't believe me; see for your self. read more

I tried out Wild Bills again after going to BDT for awhile and after not getting a receipt for my stuff i got the wrong lighter leash and called asking if i could get an exchange or anything and the customer service was awful.
