WildFlower may look like the average retailer from the outside but once inside you are transported to a gorgeous wonderland. The store is much larger than I anticipated. While I thought it was just a florist I discovered it is also a gift shop. Regarding floral services, I selected a lovely arrangement from the large cooler with a variety of bright gerbera daisies in it. There were several florists on site very busy making arrangements so I could have had a custom arrangement made but there was no need since the cooler selection offered plenty of options. Regarding gifts, they carry some of my very favorite brands and artists. Some of my favorites are Jellycat plushes and the Jellycat plants they had here were so cute! Jellycats always have great expressions and the fabrics feel so good. They also have various items from local artist Kim Hovell like candles wrapped in her Chesapeake Bay inspired oyster paintings. Her work in hues of blues is always very calming. WildFlower also carries locally made artisan Choquette chocolates. When I want to give a little thank you or hostess gift I always choose choquette chocolates. There were plenty other neat gifty items and I'll definitely be returning to do a little shopping. As far as customer service goes, there were about three florists who were very focused on what they were doing and one kinda gave me a weird look, probably because I was audibly ooohhing and ahhing and taking photos of the gorgeous displays (after asking if it was ok.) There were also a few people on the floor who were very helpful. One lady in particular was my saving grace and she was super helpful and friendly as I looked to pick out a last minute gift. I really wish I had more time to wonder around WildFlower. I'll definitely be back!

The store is huge (the largest Ace in MD) and the staff went above and beyond to help me out. I showed up in the middle of a rain storm without an umbrella to buy a pile of power tools. Rather than call me out for my poor planning. The staff very generously helped me figure out a way to get my new purchases to my car without getting them wet. This may sound minor, but when was the last time someone at a store went out of their way like this. I didn't even have to ask. Seriously can't say enough positive stuff about the team here.

I contacted them in April and they said they would come out once the spring shrubs came into the nursery. I had to follow up with them repeatedly and they began to be no-responsive to my calls and texts, and hoping I would go away. Realizing I wasn't going away, they showed up unannounced at 6:30 one morning and rapidly replacing th 4 shrubs that had died. I went outside to say good morning and was pretty much ignored. They clearly were unhappy to have to return. We had a poor experience with them and do not recommend them.

They also offered to order certain books to store if they were not on the shelf! In regard to community outreach, their social media pages clearly communicate upcoming events and highlight their wide variety of book clubs. I attended the Dark Romance Book Club and was please with how well the store facilitated the discussion, especially given the large size of the group. Coming in for the meeting, chairs had already been placed out in a circle for members to sit. The conversation was engaging and well organized with employees asking questions that had clearly been researched beforehand. My only complaint is that parking can be scarce during busy hours such as book club events, particularly after snowfall when available spaces are more limited. Overall, I love visiting this bookstore. It has a lovely charm and a makes a wonderful connection with its customers. It is an asset to our local community as a small hub. As for the price, it's a plant nursery so of course you're paying a higher price for higher quality products. I'd say it's worth it. They have minis for $5 if you're worried about price. This is by far my favorite plant nursery I've been too- it's so freaking cute I highly recommend !
