Came in for the self serve dog wash. We had a member coupon so we just walked in. No reservations…read morerequired. Pros: The wash room is a separate room. There are 2 metal tubs. They provide aprons, lots of towels and cleaning soap and conditioner. Staff was friendly. Cons: The room itself was very wet. The floor has about an inch of water. The tub looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The water hoses were old and couldn't even reach my dog.

The main problem with it is that there are tons of birds- I mean I have NEVER seen an aviary or bird store with this many birds- 2 levels! there is NO way that these intelligent creatures get the mental stimulation or attention that they need. The place was COVERED in dust, and completely cluttered and disorganized. I also saw caiques eating seed as their main diet, which is bad for birds- they should be on pellets (and good luck converting them it's HARD). Employee said that about half the birds are for sale the rest are the owners- why would a person keep soo many birds and in such small cages?? It's not like there's a huge market and people are out purchasing $1000 birds everyday, these poor guys are gonna be there for a while. Also, when purchasing a bird you should always look for one that is hand-fed and tame, and there is just no way that these birds can be given the amount of them in there and with only 1 employee working. On the other hand, many birds were out of their cages on perches and almost all had another bird to play with which is good (it could be worse). Their selection of toys is poor and none of them have the price, which is annoying. On the other hand they have a million perches- so go figure- i told you it's unorganized.

So today was finally the day we would get our little hamster: we had gone to all of our local shops.. no such luck due to the fact that the employees would say their hamsters (in all honesty) were bitters/non-social/had anger issues. This was off putting since we had thought store employees would handles their animals daily and reinforce this good behavior of being held and being alert. So now fast forward to the Dulles location (our 5th pet store we had visited that day) I had called ahead to see what gender and breeds of hamsters they carried since they were not close to our home by any means. I spoke with an employee named Grace who let me know they had a variety of hamsters to choose from- both male and female. So we make the drive, get there and this place is HUGE and CLEAN. Both inside and out their logo on the outside was visibly shiny. We go in and to our left as you first step into the store is the SMALL PETS SECTION- where we quickly introduced and welcomed by, no other, Grace! She was very friendly and was saying that she takes time to handle the hamsters personally- seeing that they are familiar with being held or touched. I appreciated that and felt that our hamster would have started in a great place and would surly end up in our sweet home. She introduced us to all the hamsters and let us know about their personality and behavior. We made our decision and also asked if we had everything we needed to care for our new pet- everything from a tank to food. She wanted to make sure this sweet animal went home to a comfortable place. I have never had a high opinion of Petco in the past, probably due to the selection (in my local area) but I would gladly go out of my way if it meant that I revived this type of customer service. In an age where you can find and buy anything online- I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. A huge thank you to Grace. This PetSmart location is filthy…read more The photos of the restroom were taken first thing in the morning. The floor was filthy, there was what appeared to be dirt or dried blood on the back of the toilet, and it was just overall disgusting. I notified an employee that the women's restroom could use a quick clean and new toilet paper in the small stall--she was very friendly and said they'd get right to it! I had come back in the afternoon due to needing more pet supplies to find it the exact same if not worse. There's an abundance of living and dead cockroaches throughout the store. I saw multiple PetSmart workers and the manager look at them and just walk away. The photos don't do justice on how large they are. These roaches are not new either, I was here a few weeks ago and spotted a few! This location has gone downhill FAST.

We had no choice but to see an emergency vet -- who diagnosed a severe ear infection that would have been ongoing for at least a week. When my husband called the office to understand how this was missed, the receptionist told him that Dr. Singh "doesn't check ears" at a routine wellness exam -- and that if we were unhappy, we were welcome to find another vet. So, we will be doing exactly that. The missed diagnosis was concerning enough. The dismissive response made it an easy decision.

When the time came to say goodbye to our fur-baby, we also greatly appreciated how patient and gentle Dr. Phillips was with him and us. You can tell that she genuinely cares. She made what was a very difficult day a lot better by being so understanding and supportive. Dr. Phillips even sent a handwritten card to us afterwards, which was so thoughtful and kind. We are so thankful to Dr. Phillips for everything she did for Sher, she is truly one of the best vets we have ever met!

It was easy to schedule a "meet and greet" with Amy and Andrew, who are visiting our two dogs (a quiet 9-year old and a 5-year old with attitude; both sighthounds) about 3 times a week. Since then Amy and Andrew have taken care of our pups for the past month or so. They are both responsible and have the kind of calm personality that all dogs feel comfortable being around. They've followed all our instructions, provided very detailed updates and pictures, and taken good care of our doggies. So far I am very pleased with the service. We love our dogs like children and feel good about entrusting Amy and Andrew with their care.

I had ask that they only provide me with one one of their walkers that I had for the first 18 months, at least twice a week if possible. Their final response was " she is rarely available during the times I requested" ... I mean for the first 18 months she was available , and now she was not.... After numerous attempts to remedy this, they decided (Customer Service Agent Becca) to cut me and my dogs loose. I contacted them to give them "NOTICE"; that I would be looking for another service. I am a senior citizen wtih Dystolic Heart Failure. What a way to treat a senior citizen.. Terrible service... And the owner, did nothing, even though on her web page she states "If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with our service, we will correct it right away and offer a money-back guarantee".
