Best collection of gourds and pumpkins.
    Karen F.

My niece got married in October, so we stopped here prior to the wedding to see what their selection of chrysanthemums (mums) were like, since that was a major decoration for her outside Fall wedding. I'm so glad we stopped, because the selection was excellent. Even though the prices were higher than at a big box store, they had a variety of colors, the mums looked very healthy, and you could tell they were just on the verge of massively blooming. The nursery had fun photo stand-ins scattered around. I made my niece pose as an ear of corn, a scarecrow, and a sunflower, and we measured "how many pumpkins tall" she was. Children would totally get a kick out of wandering around here. They also had an excellent selection of gourds; not just standard pumpkins, but pumpkins large and small, white and orange, and interesting, bumpy, odd-colored gourds. Fruits, vegetables, and apple cider were for sale, as well as some really cute decorative pepper plants, and I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Maryland.

    VERY disappointed

VERY disappointed with the Romaine Lettuce from Vince's. This is so beyond unacceptable! And I was told this was the best they had there today 08-09-2023 and the mushrooms had a strong urine smell. As a farm produce stand, Vince's should have better quality than the grocery stores.

WildFlower may look like the average retailer from the outside but once inside you are transported to a gorgeous wonderland. The store is much larger than I anticipated. While I thought it was just a florist I discovered it is also a gift shop. Regarding floral services, I selected a lovely arrangement from the large cooler with a variety of bright gerbera daisies in it. There were several florists on site very busy making arrangements so I could have had a custom arrangement made but there was no need since the cooler selection offered plenty of options. Regarding gifts, they carry some of my very favorite brands and artists. Some of my favorites are Jellycat plushes and the Jellycat plants they had here were so cute! Jellycats always have great expressions and the fabrics feel so good. They also have various items from local artist Kim Hovell like candles wrapped in her Chesapeake Bay inspired oyster paintings. Her work in hues of blues is always very calming. WildFlower also carries locally made artisan Choquette chocolates. When I want to give a little thank you or hostess gift I always choose choquette chocolates. There were plenty other neat gifty items and I'll definitely be returning to do a little shopping. As far as customer service goes, there were about three florists who were very focused on what they were doing and one kinda gave me a weird look, probably because I was audibly ooohhing and ahhing and taking photos of the gorgeous displays (after asking if it was ok.) There were also a few people on the floor who were very helpful. One lady in particular was my saving grace and she was super helpful and friendly as I looked to pick out a last minute gift. I really wish I had more time to wonder around WildFlower. I'll definitely be back!

For what it is worth, this place serves its purpose. It's a small market in a community that…read moreaffords people the advantage of not having to make a longer trip to pick up a last minute item. With that you have to remember that this place has some items, but not all items. It was nice to be able to stop here and browse. My friend and I came in here to look for some snack items, I tell ya, it's all about the snacks. One odd thing about this place is that it doesn't feel like a market even though it is one. The shelves are not very high and you can see all across the store. Made you feel vulnerable and that you might be judged for the selection you made. If I remember correctly there is a prepared food area or maybe a deli counter. I didn't pay attention to this much as I wasn't there for that. Customer service here was pretty decent. They greeted and made chit chat with every customer that came in the market. Even though this is convenient for the area and an asset, they could do maybe a little something to make it feel less unwelcoming inside. It has a sterile feel to it, which is a good thing for a market with fresh produce, but there is really no character to the place. Unless that is the character you are going for, then you hit it spot on.
