Mary arranged to have a member of her team make a special trip to her wholesaler to personally select the flowers and ensure that they would arrive in time to be arranged. Since we had traveled cross country for the funeral we selected The Company of Flowers simply because it was near our hotel. We couldn't be more pleased with the service. When we were presented with the invoice we were equally pleased as we were expecting the cost to be at least twice the amount given the rush request. Laurie said each arrangement was custom made based on the customer's wishes and she pointed me to the Periwinkle Flowers facebook page where I found a picture of an arrangement Laurie had done for another customer. The bright vibrant variety of colors in that arrangement was exactly what I was looking for. I called her back and pointed her to that photo as a guide to the type of arrangement I would like. She said those exact flowers are not currently available but that she could do something with a variety of bright vibrant colors similar to that arrangement. Now I live in CA but my daughters wedding was in Mass so I was booking all over the phone hoping the florist understood what we wanted and was able to perform. Sharon was just outstanding to work with. Her floral design work is really beautiful. Everything was gorgeous and exactly as we spoke about. She designed a large floral arrangement for a large canopy/ wedding arbor and beautiful bouquet, etc. All stunningly beautiful. She exceeded our expectations. She was reliable and on time !!! He requested something unique and beautiful. Cost - $175, not including delivery. The vase was the best part of the arrangement. - nice heavy base. The arrangement itself was sad! It was unique - but not attractive or pleasing, in any way. My estimate of the cost of the flowers was $35 maximum - Retail. The arrangement was wilted and dying by the 2nd day. I sent my brother a picture of the flowers to thank him for his thoughtfulness, and he was very upset at the poor quality and value of the arrangement. I dissuaded him from contacting the Florist since he would not have been pleasant in his appraisal of the quality of the arrangement or the talent of the florist. I would NEVER recommend this florist to anyone.
