This setting is why we come. Open and beautiful. Close to many wineries and a small casino. Not worried about cable or wifi-I'm here to see the local sites. I am concerned about the set up for our sewer. The site isn't very level and we cannot get flow to the sewer. It's a 30' stretch and uphill the whole way. I'm not worried about the camper as it will self level. But the sewer is a problem. read more

Stayed at this campground Thursday- Tuesday this month (October). We drove here from Chicago and got a late start. We called the front office to let them know we wouldn't be checking in till 7pm. We took care of payment over the phone a d they left a map on their front bulletin board for us to follow to our spot. We were on site 61. The first thing I noticed is how stunning the Surrounding scenery is! The trees are beautiful in a October. The sites themselves are spread out. You don't feel like you're on top of each other. Every morning it felt so much earlier than it was...This place is super quiet! Maybe it would be different in the summer but fall is definitely peaceful. Everyone was super friendly. We were out most of the day and didn't hang at the campground much which leads me into my next point... there isn't much to do here (not a bad thing!). I'm so happy this trip was just for my husband and I because my kids would be bored to death. There is no pool (was too cold to use it even if there was) and no park. I am totally ok with these things but it would be great to know if we did bring the littles. However, this campground is near everything! All in all, we paid around $300 (five or take) for our trip here. Definitely worth it and we can't wait to come back! read more

This was our first, and won't be our last, stay at this resort. Beautiful scenery, peaceful and extremely well maintained. Every site is full hook up, and many have beautiful cement pads. Some are gravel and some dirt to park on. Ample space for parking towables too. Staff was very helpful and accommodating, and the other glampers we met were super friendly and respectful about noise and their toys. No bath house, which was fine for us, but they do have a nice little lodge for gathering. Only downside was WiFi was on the weak side in the location where we were parked. Looking forward to returning! read more

We were very pleased with our 8 night stay. The park is beautiful, and overall, would be considered a 'higher-end' park. A paper is delivered each morning...trash bags left at the road by your site is picked up promptly. Staff is super-courteous, and the place is very, very clean. Price for camping is about as high as you would be willing to pay. Wi-fi is spotty but usable. I work on the road, and managed to keep my business under control with the wi-fi. There are no showers, store, or laundry. I think this is probably a result of the resort looking to serve higher-end, self-contained units. It would be nice to have a coin laundry, though, and perhaps a restroom for use when you might be out walking. There is a golf driving range; a bucket of balls and a driver is five bucks. Ice is higher-normal priced at $3. The park is quiet, and during this early-August stay, attended mostly by older campers without children. Campers with young families might find things a little boring.....but for those without children, it's a quiet paradise. The sites are not crowded together. There is room for a lot more sites, but I believe they maintain the relaxed and pretty environment by not crowding everyone in. Hookups are 15, 30, and 50 amp at each site. Water is reasonable and water pressure is great. Sewer locations are a bit odd; even for units with a mid-trailer dump point the sewer requires a stretched hose. We needed to change sites upon arrival since our rear-connection sewer output simply would not stretch to the very-forward sewer connection and still leave room to park in front of the trailer. The staff was understanding and shuffled reservations around a little. There is a VERY nice community chalet style building with a big screen TV, and comfortable furniture. The park hosts weekly get-togethers there that are nicely attended. There is room for some improvement, but to a seasoned camper who comes here to relax and enjoy the area, it's currently quite acceptable. read more

Very nice RV park in a great part of Michigan. Sites are level and most have full hookups and cement "patios". Not much to do in the park. They have a lodge but we didn't see any planned activities. I was surprised they do not have a public bathroom but with full hookups it's not really needed. Everyone we met was very friendly. Not many families with small kids but this seems to be tailored more for older couples that just want a base camp for exploring the region. We would go back here if we're in the area again. read more

One of the finest RV stops we have made in our three years of traveling. Yes it was expensive ($75/night), but very friendly and the hospitality was second to none. We just found this lovely, clean,well manicured RV park. Very quiet and large patio lots with fabulous flowering shrubs. The staff are great and friendly. Full hookups on all sites,and a super feature, there are no mosquitoes and that is awesome . We would recommend this to everyone that like to see stars and water and very close to many up north communities in lelanau county. Centrally located to all of lelanau counties amenities. read more

Beautiful setting with large full hook up sites in a nice location for the Traverse Bay Area. There isn't any cable TV and antenna TV only works part of the time and the WiFi is very poor. We keep coming back for the beauty and the location year after year but wish that they would upgrade the WiFi and consider cable for the rainy days that we are stuck in the Motorhome. Staff is great and make you feel welcome. read more

We stayed in the yurt and it was a great experience! The campground itself is really pretty and clean. Great location to easily get into the towns of Sutton Bay or Lake Leelanau. Would recommend the yurt to anyone! It's like fancy camping. Super comfortable bed and decorated nicely. read more

Boring overall. If your just looking for a place to park your RV and sit and do nothing it works, but at a price higher than necessary for what you get. We were mislead as the woman on the phone stated she only had 1 spot left. That was not totally true. We pulled in Friday night only to find the place approx 2/3 full. The area where she put us had 6 open sites in our row. More open throughout the park. Our row was only 12 sires long. She was just trying to make us believe we better take this LAST spot. Oh and they have a 3 night minimum. And they are adding more sites so under construction. So on to the park. This is NOT for kids. Absolutely nothing for them to do. It's pretty much an rv park out in a hilly field with a couple of stagnant ponds. They have the grass nicely cut but they must have cut it long and they don't vac their clippings so guess what!, you will have cut grass all over your shoes and it tracks every where. I admit the parking cement pads were the best I've seen anywhere. That why I gave it 3 stars and not 2. Skip was nice and very accommodating. OMG NO CABLE TV! You can pick up a few local channels but they are local news, documentaries, 2 cartoon channels etc. very peaceful at night. We came up for wine tasting so most of the issues didn't matter but for families again there are NO amenities, no store, no showers, no pool nothing. The wifi won't really stream but hey they have a basic 1 bar wifi. Won't do much good. What NO CABLE! Won't be back, but they got us once. read more

If you want a peaceful park with plenty of space between you and your neighbor, this is the place! The staff is friendly, the views are wide open, and the air is as fresh as can be. Plenty of things to do in the area, including wineries, beaches, shopping, dining, boating and Sleeping Bear Dunes. We love it here! read more

This place is best suited to Class A motorcoaches or fully outfitted rigs since there are no showers or laundry facilities. The Leelanau Peninsula abounds with charming small towns, wineries, beaches. Glen Arbor, just 20 minutes from Wild Cherry, was voted the most beautiful place in America on Good Morning America.
