This is Finn's second time getting groomed at Pawssentials and Emily groomed Finn today. Finn doesn't love the grooming process and he's a big dog (90lbs) so I prefer to hand him off to the professionals. I gave Emily a head's up that he'll sit down and refuse to move sometimes. She was very sweet and understanding and then took Finn inside. Less than two hours later, Finn was out looking clean and cute with a little bandana! I always appreciate the 30 min heads up text they give so I have enough notice to come pick him up. Setting up a future appointment is super easy with them and I've already rebooked with Emily. That's exactly the case with Elena. She does an outstanding job with our dog and is truly a master of her craft. After going through at least 10 different groomers in the Bay Area over the past 8 years, I hadn't found anyone who consistently impressed me or delivered reliable cuts for my pup. Not to say there weren't good groomers--but they were good, not great. I'm excited that Elena has opened her own business, and our first visit there was nothing short of a warm and excellent experience. She provided an estimated pickup time, and her estimate was very accurate, which saved me the stress of figuring out when to pick up my dog and planning my day around it. While the grooming area is behind a wall in a separate room, I appreciate that the door was left open so you could see or peek in on what was going on. I came here a couple weeks ago with my boyfriend and our fur babies to treat them to a spa day. My boyfriend booked an appointment for nail trims, ear cleaning and teeth cleaning. We were greeted upon entering with friendly and warm smiles from Cindy and Elena. They took our fur babies one at a time, which was nice and it gave us time to walk our other babies around the plaza and look around. Each appointment for the babies didn't take too long and they all came out looking refreshed and clean. We were worried about our shiba, Roku, because he has white coat syndrome, but he did really well with Cindy and Elena! I was shocked they were able to handle him because when we go anywhere groomers or vet related, my boyfriend and I always end up having to step inside the room or we get asked to put a muzzle on him. Great service here especially if you have dogs with dark colored nails like our pitty, Kirin, they were able to trim her nails down short. We do it at home, but always stop because we're scared to cut her from trimming down too short. Our oldest pitty, Lexi, enjoyed her spa trip the most. New customer here! I took my 9-year-old mini Australian Shepherd to Elena for a bath and grooming, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I was a little nervous at first because he tore his cruciate ligament two years ago and hasn't been to a dog groomer since then. Even though he's recovered, I'm always extra careful about where I take him and how he's handled. Elena immediately put me at ease. She was kind, attentive, and clearly experienced with dogs who need a little extra care. Chase went in his usual hyper, happy self--and he came out exactly the same way: energetic, relaxed, and clearly comfortable with the whole experience. Though I was told he protested with songs in the bath :) And the groom itself was fantastic. His coat looked clean, soft, and beautifully done. He smelled great and looked like a brand-new dog. She clearly took her time which I appreciate. The price is reasonable and I plan to come back. I forgot the name of the other lady that we met at check out, but she was friendly and hooked us up with a new customer goodie bag.
