They finally opened here, just days ago on Wednesday March 01, and it's a typical open, airy, and well-organized Wild Fork on the interior.  There are a couple of distinctions on the exterior though.  One is that there is plenty of parking as they are in the same large corner strip mall as the Trader Joe's.  The other is that they have a small patio on their west side, facing Waukegan Road, and in the warmer months will be doing some outside grilling (partnering with Weber Grill) and providing free food samples, yaay.  The patio is there because their space used to be occupied by a Boston Market and an Einstein Bagels.  I learned of the patio use plans from the friendly staffer on duty today, Joe Wendy.  He used to own Wendy's he said (JK).  JK on the fact, but not just kidding that he used to like joking about it lol.  For what it's worth, this looks like the best location setup (ie, visibility, parking, and availability of a small patio) of all the Wild Forks I've seen to date.

I had high hopes however the swordfish I purchased wasn't fresh! I had to throw it out. I'm sticking with Whole foods.

Well, this is an update to the review I made 4 years ago. Today was a better experience all around…read more We arrived around 2pm and it was not crowded at all. They added an enclosed outdoor seating area, Thats lets you enjoy the breeze or sun, but protects you from the rain. It used to be a tent, so this is definitely nicer. My wife and I were seated immediately. The server quickly brought us water and garlic bread. I really like that they give you 5 fairly big pieces of garlic bread for only two people. Nice touch. We were not in a hurry and couldn't decide what we wanted so we started with the calamari salad. $29, but it's huge and chock full of those calamari guys. Lettuce is always crisp and has everything I like in it (olives, eggs, carrots, artichoke, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and romaine lettuce). We were almost full just from the salad alone. I ordered a grouper sandwich (not fried), and my lovely wife ordered the Scottish salmon plate, which comes with potatoes and grilled vegetables. My sandwich came with coleslaw and fresh cut fries. They switched to fresh cut since my last visit, and this was an upgrade. My sandwich was great, and huge too. Could not finish it. Wife's meal was a humongous slab of salmon. The veggies now come on a smaller plate, but that's okay, given the size of the fish. Service was a tad slow, but like I said, we weren't in any hurry. Total tab was $100, with tax and that pesky 3% service fee. I really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. It's not a place I can go every week, but when I can splurge, and have a taste for fresh seafood, this is the best around.

We tried the Boston Fish Market for my birthday dinner this year, and had a pretty good experience…read more It was on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not busy. We were seated promptly in the formal dining room which was nicely decorated. Our semi-circular booth was spacious and comfortable. There were different sections in the restaurant that were more casual, tailored to the different tastes of the clients. Overall, food was delicious and portions were huge. I had a Boston Clam Chowder and a Gulf Grouper as the main. I would usually order a salad, but I didn't this time as each entrée came with a large plate of homemade roasted vegetables and wild rice. The Boston Clam Chowder had real pieces of clams in it. However, it was just lukewarm. My grouper looked great and tasted flavorful, but it was somewhat over-cooked (and therefore not tender), which was unfortunate. My wife had a bowl of Lobster Bisque and an order of Stuffed Flounder that had crabmeat sandwiched in the fish. She absolutely loved her choices. Our daughter had a Charbroiled Walleye and liked it too. Her only disappointment was the garlic bread being hard and dry. Our daughter and I each had a Chardonnay Stags Leap which was good, while my wife had a Virgin Mojito and truly enjoyed it. Surprisingly, the highlight of the night was the slice of tiramisu that our friendly and professional server Greg brought to me! It had a lit candle for my birthday, and Greg teamed up with two other waitresses enthusiastically sang me a happy birthday song! The tiramisu was excellent, creamy and not too sweet. I am not a dessert person but really appreciated this. I have a suggestion for the restaurant: as the portions were so large and each of us brought home half of it, it would have been nice that they make the portion 40% to 50% smaller, and lower the average price of $40 per entrée accordingly. It might help attract more customers. Just my two cents. All in all, I had a lovely birthday dinner at Boston Fish Market. Ambience was good, and service was outstanding. We will certainly return again.

My ahi tuna was a tiny overcooked and kinda fishy. Portion was a lot of vegetables which were fine. My husband had halibut which was good, but only a couple pieces of asparagus. Last time he had potatoes and we both got green beans too. Coffee was lukewarm and tasted old When he made the reservation he said it was our anniversary. No mention of that at all either. Disappointed on this visit for the price you pay

If you're new to the suburbs are new to the area this is where you go to get your poultry chicken, turkey, etc. type needs. It is so popular that during Thanksgiving, for example and all the holidays you can expect to see Glenview police helping to direct traffic into their tiny parking lot. What's great though about them is that you can call them and put in your orders ahead of time by actually speaking to a human being who takes your order and then come in and actually pick up your order from a real human being. This type of traditional business is something I really love and glad it still exists here in Glenview. Everything they sell here is top quality poultry, and this is the go to. They have everything you could possibly think of and will just about customize and meet any of your required needs. I hope they stay around for another hundred years or more because this is the way meat buying should be.

And with the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, you can take a wild guess where I'll be going to get the turkey. I cannot imagine not being a loyal customer here.
