The best fish and the best prices. I drive in from DC every other month and pick up 6 lbs each time. What a great place-Sable Bellies!

Good food but pricey. A little bit of New York (with a little NY 'tude sadly).

Service was attentive and prompt. My husband and I shared the lobster bisque and that was a bit of a let down. I'm used to the lobster bisque from Texas de Brazil, which is flavorful and creamy. The one at Boston fish market was thicker and had more of a flat taste. There wasn't a deep seafood flavor in the soup but the small chunks of lobster were nice. We spent $120 pre tip for 2 entrees and 1 appetizer so definitely more on the expensive side but the quality of the entrees and the size portions will really blow you away. Bathrooms were clean and spacious. There's plenty of parking slots in the parking lot attached to the restaurant.

The price to value seemed very imbalanced and this is coming from someone who is quite accustomed to city prices. The menu is huge, IMO too big. It would be great if they trimmed it down to do fewer things flawlessly. This place is great for big groups, the room we were seated in is built for parties of 8+. We started out with the garlic bread on our table and ordered the appetizer platter. The platter was fine, but the addition of guac was odd and it wasn't very good. I ordered the lobster roll and my husband the mahi. They only serve the lobster roll hot, but I generally prefer cold. The bun was a pretzel roll, which I didn't love. They should put the butter on the side, so the whole thing felt dry. They served it with tartar sauce, which was an interesting choice. Husband was unimpressed with his mahi. Service started off strong and then fell off a cliff. Our server was attentive when we needed to order and then absent through pretty much the rest of the meal. We asked a busboy for more water and someone went to find our server to get our check. Basic things like ketchup for fries wasn't even considered. Maybe the Des Plaines location is better, this one didn't live up to the hype or price.

I enjoyed the lobster roll very much. What appears as a small sandwich is densely packed with goodness. The fried shrimp was also excellent. The tables are well stocked with condiments, including hot sauces. The service is excellent, and they have an obviously steady crew, working an excellent system for taking care of their customers. Everyone was smiling and polite. The lady that took care of me was knowledgeable, answering all my rookie questions. The menu is extensive, and I found the pricing reasonable. I'll be back for more things to try.

Gumbo was good, with a good roux, but slightly sweet and no real spice to it. It had plenty of shrimp, and I got a couple of meals out of it. If I were in New Orleans, it would probably receive a low score, but by Chicago standards, it is good. They used okra in their gumbo, which some may consider sacrilege. However, it was properly prepared, and I like okra, so I approve. Their jambalaya and fried rice were approved of by others in the family. Overall, good food and good value. If it weren't for my gout, I'd be eating here a lot more often.

I happened to be in the area…read moreand visited this location a few days ago and I was initially impressed with what I thought was a clean store and quality product. I picked a pork item to take home and try. When I got home and started to thaw it out, I noticed that the item I purchased had expired 1 1/2 months before the purchase date. This was a use by date, not a purchase by date, so it had no shelf life. I thought any establishment would be embarrassed to sell a product 1 1/2 months after the expiration date. Now here's the problem. The Glenview store is 40 minutes from me. I am much closer to the Mt. Prospect store and I was under the impression that the Wild Fork sign on both stores means that they would both back up product sold by the Wild Fork corporation. Well Mt. Prospect wouldn't help me in any way since I did not buy the item there. Don't give me the "franchise" excuse. If Wild Fork can't figure out how to stand behind their product, no matter which location, I have no reason to ever set foot in any of their stores again.

As someone with a busy lifestyle that enjoys the quick in-and-on nature of going to a Trader Joe's…read moreor Aldis, I am probably the target market for Wild Fork as well. Wild Fork fills a niche well, as it is a smaller store where everything is laid out in a compact, but predictable format. You don't need to worry about looking for deals, coupons, and searching for items through poorly arranged and labeled aisles. Instead, Wild Fork lays out all their products in a very easy to find manner, with no nonsense pricing. Bulk discounts are easy to find, and the products aren't packed so tight that it's hard to see everything. For me, I appreciate this versus some other grocerers where figuring out the final price is quite a bit of a chore, and you have a good chance of overpaying if you don't follow every single rule for discounts. Another thing is that this store is well labeled, bright, and logically arranged. I know exactly where to look for everything and I appreciate how easy it is to easily find standard and more premium options. For someone who doesn't know when he'll be eating out or in on any given day, Wild Fork is great because it allows me to stock up on high quality frozen options so I can eat healthy and deliciously any day of the week. For me, this is the only other store other than Trader Joes where I'll stock up on lots of different frozen items for meals. The items are consistently frozen well, sealed well, and have a good taste and texture. The price is also very reasonable, being particularly competitive on most standard meat and seafood options. You'll also find items like marinated chicken quarters and hot pot meat that's frozen here, something you may not find easily in the area outside of specialty stores. Parking is also relatively easy here, once you understand how to get in off the main road and the checkout process is fairly quick. The employees are also friendly and helpful if you need help finding things. Overall, a great addition to supplement my grocery shopping when I need high quality frozen food.

How does it stay fresh? He was very helpful explaining the process that they vacuum seal the meats, wet-age it in it's own juicies then blast freeze to keep the freshness. I decided to buy a couple of products to try: ground beef and wagyu hamburger patties. I was told that the wagyu hamburger patties were juicy and tasty. The ground beef was good and when defrosted it was better compared to the beef you would normally buy from a normal grocery chain. Everytime, I go to this location to pick-up meats, the staff is welcoming and friendly. They answer all my questions and point me in the right direction. I was pointed to their froze veggies and I'm going to buy them next time to see if they are just as fresh as their meats. The store is well lit so it is easy to read everything. Everything is in the appropriate groups: Chicken, Pork, Beef, Seafood, etc. If you want great service and good meats and low prices head over to Wild Fork!
