    Buddha Delight with fried rice
    Kimberly C.

This was a Mother's Day celebration for our group of 5. We had a reservation and no wait for seating. The server was very friendly; service was a little on the slower side, which made sense given the holiday. I had the Buddha's Delight, minus carrot and broccoli- just had them add extra of the other veggies. It was DELICIOUS! We had crab Rangoons for the table to share and they were probably some of my favorite ones I've had. Even thought it was quite busy, the noise level wasn't terrible. It's a great place for casual meals or that special someone date night. Very clean place and fresh tasting food. I'll be back!

I had a good experience here. The staff was nice and attentive and the drinks were good. It's not my favorite place for hibachi but it's in my top 5.

Loved the sashimi, fish selection is fresh and very tasty. Crab Rangoon was warm and delicious. Service was friendly. Would go back to try other things though it is a little on the pricey side

Pad Thai. Lots of chicken. Not much flavor.

We frequent the area a lot and always smell the Asian spices as we pass. I decided to finally try this out and my go-to is always pad thai. If it's right, then a lot of other dishes will likely be the same. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered for carry out. I parked right in front which probably never happens for frequent guests, but it was right after 5pm rush hour on a weeknight. The bean sprouts were very fresh and crunchy, which I love, love, love, but there was way too much meat, not enough tahini flavor and not enough vegetables/color. For $16 the portion was a bit short as well as the container was shallow compared to other places we go for pickup. I'll give them 4 stars for efficiency. 2 stars for flavor. 2 stars for parking. 2 stars for ambiance. I hear the back is a little romantic, but I didn't venture to see for myself. I'm not too thrilled about finding out unless I stumble across photos of it.

One of Best Thai in Hyde Park. Firstly, it's noticeably clean, which always makes me feel better about dining out when I can tell a restaurant is serious about cleanliness. The service was excellent--each staff member was attentive and polite. I had a Thai tea that was extremely refreshing on a hot day, perfectly sweet. Our appetizers were the Vegi spring rolls and Wild Ginger salad, both vegetarian but still very flavorful and hearty. I had the red curry with chicken, which was phenomenal. It was a very tolerable spicy red curry that paired well with the chicken and vegetables in the dish. I really loved my experience at WG, and I am looking forward to coming here again!

We were looking for a local place near Xavier University, and Wild Ginger popped up as a suggestion. Good choice! We were sat in the bar area, which gave us a view of the street, which was entertaining. They do have hibachi and regular tables. The bartender was also our waitress. She was on her third day there, but she did a good job. We started with green gyoza, which was very good. I had the ginger stir fry with chicken. It was excellent. My wife, a vegan, had the drunken noodles with fried tofu. It was also excellent. They have a lot of choices, so we will be back to try more.

I really liked this place but, today was disappointing. We Sat at the bar and waited for 20 min (while the bartender was behind the bar). She didn't even acknowledge us. She was unpleasant and seemed extremely irritated, like she was annoyed to even wait on us. Then, she proceeds to tell me that (the spot I'm sitting in..that is at the bar)isn't a guest seat and dirty dishes, etc will be put in front of me. So I move to another seat at the bar. We then had appetizers. I stacked our dirty dishes (trying to help her bc she seemed overwhelmed and annoyed) thinking we would receive new dishes for our meal. Instead she pushed our stacked, dirty dishes back to us, to reuse . Our food was ok. Not great. Half our food didn't even come out so we had to get it to go. Super disappointed in the service mostly. We felt like an inconvenience the whole time, along with everyone else at the bar.

    Chicken, Steak, Lobster Hibachi
    Quincy C.

Great Hibachi at a quality price and a fun chef to boot. My sister picked this place for her Bday and it its our new favorite Hibachi. Reservations were simple to make and we were quickly seated. Our servers were kind and attentive, from seat to first food was maybe 20 minutes. We ordered a variety of plates and everything was large portions and good quality with many of us having left overs. The chef was a lot of fun with the normal jokes and theatrics plus a mindful eye to not mess with people who don't want to play along. Drinks were good and they even let us bring in our own dessert. This is my go to Hibachi from now on.

The ambiance is casual chic. I loved the lighting, both those hanging from the ceiling and the changing colors on the back wall. Our server was very attentive and sweet. We managed to order a lot of food and most of it was excellent. We were treated to a trio of Spanish peanuts, slightly spicy cucumber and pickled onions that were quite tasty. Taking a taste of each together was a great bite. It was a fun start to the meal. We stared with two appetizers: Stuffed Jalapeños and Chili Dumplings. The stuffed jalapeños were fantastic! I expected them to be spicy hot, but they were not. The stuffing was delicious and each bite was delectable. We highly recommend them. The chili dumplings were also very good, though we've had better. These were spicy, but not overly so. They were good and I'd order them again. Mark ordered one of the lunch specials that offered three rolls. They were good. He liked some better than others. I ordered Sashimi Deluxe, which came with a salad and miso soup. The soup was nice. I liked the dressing on the salad and used it more as a palate cleanser between bites of sashimi rather than relying on the ginger. The sashimi was also hit and miss. The pieces were large, with each easily being twice the size you might find at other establishments. None of them, however, melted in my mouth nor did they elicit yummy sounds. We had dessert. I had Tiramisu cake and Mark had Mango Mousse. His mousse was so good! The tiramisu cake was good, but not outstanding. Both desserts came with strawberries, that were fresh and sweet, and a little scoop of ice cream. I mentioned it was my birthday (because it was) and they gave us my tiramisu case at no charge. That was so sweet! When our server came with the check, she also gave us a token each for the claw machine. What fun! We didn't win a prize, but we won some fun on our way out. We both decided we'd come back without hesitation. We are looking forward to trying ramen next time.

(I did visit the old downtown location with a too-large office group back in the late 2010s, and that chaotic arrangement probably distracted me from its excellence.) Recently, it's our favorite bang-for-the-buck place in the metro. Or at least it is when we order the rice bowls. A digression about "bowls": When Chipotle exploded in popularity 15 or 20 years ago, folks compared the bowl (and burrito) assembly-line set-up to Subway. Ten years after that, seems like every fast-casual assembly-line style place was compared to Chipotle itself. Nowadays there's so many fast-casual chains with this model that this style of dining is often dismissed by the office-lunch kids as "slop bowls." I get it: some of these places are terrible and tedious and unimaginative. Even though the rice bowls at Bridges feature this assembly-line model, these ain't no "slop bowls." Instead, this is some of the most explosively flavorful food in town. I don't know jack about Nepali food, but at least at Bridges it's somewhat similar to Northern Indian but less about creamy sauces and more vibrant and complex and herbaceous, at least compared to its local Northern Indian cousins. As if it's not already good enough, ask for a small gundruk (a buck or two more?) to add yet another flavor facet. (Gundruk is a mix of fermented leafy greens and not quite like anything I've ever experienced. But great.) Momos--big dumplings--are specific to Nepali cuisine, at least around here. Bridges' are excellent, but whereas you used to be able to get a single momo with another dish, now you've got to order ten of them. Too bad. The staff at this location is always pleasant and helpful, at least in our experience.

I did find the young lady working the orders to be unfriendly and unhelpful and could not muster a smile when spoken to or smiled at. Like having a paying job was ruining her day. I tried in vain to find out from her what the toppings were because I couldn't see them well. They weren't full - maybe from a dinner rush - and I couldn't see what was in most containers. Because of that I only ended up putting two toppings on my rice and salmon. I gave up. My husband ordered a Spicy Tuna Roll and I ordered a bowl with Grilled Salmon. We also ordered the Crab Rangoon appetizer. My husband said the Spicy Tuna Roll was pretty good. Not great quality, of course, but better than grocery store sushi. My salmon was dry and overcooked but had good flavor. The Crab Rangoon was fried properly and tasted good. We didn't detect much crab flavor or see anything other than cream cheese inside.
