Honestly, the best part of the experience was when I was in the air and away from the staff. There were two male staff members, and one of them appeared to be under the influence (the one with his shirt on). From the beginning, I felt singled out. He told me to put my phone away, while other guests in the same group were allowed to use theirs without being addressed. He even mentioned that the company had been sued before, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. I understand that there are safety rules, but I believe they should be communicated and enforced consistently with everyone. It was my birthday, and I had other plans afterward that required me to respond to messages. Because I was repeatedly told I could not use my phone, I missed important communication and ultimately had to cancel those plans. That was incredibly frustrating. I also felt that I was treated differently throughout the experience. One group brought a dog on the boat, and the staff went out of their way to make the dog comfortable, while I felt uncomfortable and constantly singled out. We arrived at the recommended time, yet we were left standing in the heat without shade for approximately 30 minutes before it was actually time to leave. I eventually sat in the shade, only to be told to move again because of where I was sitting. Even after the activity started, I was repeatedly told to move my seat back and forth while other guests were not being treated the same way. I followed the rules and made a genuine effort to remain calm and not let the situation ruin my birthday, but the experience felt unfair and unnecessary. I have participated in excursions in Jamaica and the Bahamas, and the customer service and hospitality I experienced there were much better. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling singled out and disrespected. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews how staff interact with guests, because everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and treated equally--especially when celebrating a special occasion.

She transported all of our chairs and umbrellas from our home to the beach and set them up at an ideal spot each morning. Each late afternoon she dismantled all of the equipment and transported it back to the house. All we had to do was show up at the beach without the hassle of carrying everything to and from the beach. She kept in regular contact with us especially when the weather changed. I could go on for hours about how awesome the trip was. Landing on the Assateague island to see the horses first hand with friends/family only, was worth every penny. By the time we got here the facilities up front were closed so I have no idea what was available sans for restrooms and an outdoor shower. According to the website, shower and changing facilities are available, along with a food concession, chair & umbrella rentals, even a Mobi-Mat which allows wheelchairs to be pushed onto the beach (such a great idea). The sandy area is very wide and stretches for 3 miles with zero shady spots or trees. Lifeguards were gone for the day with their stands turned upside down. I noticed some vehicles actually parked on the beach near the northern end, a very cool perk that is not allowed back home. Ocean conditions were fairly calm but most folks were in waist-high water at most. OVERALL: Spacious real estate, but coming from Hawaii, my expectations are set too high, LOL.
