We parked on one of the perpendicular streets, paid our $10 daily fee and walked onto a fairly deserted pristine beach. Most definitely lower key than what we saw in Rehoboth. There are no concession stands or restaurants here, so you'll need to bring whatever sustenance you'll anticipate along with your beach chairs, floppy hats, and sun screen. But if all you want is a nice beach and soothing waters, you'll enjoy your time here.

Not sure if the park is large but my small family and I had the opportunity to stop here to enjoy the waves, sand and amazing view of the sunset! Absolutely breathtaking area for sunset views! You can sit on the sand, take your dogs, family, friends, drinks, picnic and or just sit on your vehicle as you park near the water and watch the gorgeous views. The small area even has picnic tables. Located either iff the highways you can easily miss it. Make sure to drive slowly when approaching the the park entrance. Very narrow entrance accessible from both directions of the highway.

Low-key, beautiful beach that is away from rowdy OC crowds. A small fee of $10 is required for out of state residents which isn't bad; in state I believe pays $5. Great place to relax and enjoy the ocean waves without worry. Only thing that sucked was getting lots of sand flea bites despite being covered up. But, I'd come back again for the quaintness and privacy.

On our way home I took a detour to stop at Fenwick Island State Park. In season, the parking lot is open and charges $5 per day for (instate cars) and $10 per day for (out of state cars) personally think it should be the same. The park was deserted this cold snowy Sunday, first day of February and snowstorm on its way. The beach was lovely with a light dusting of snow. Pretty spectacular to me but I am always highly impressed with nature. Tony and I walked a little and watched the high waves crash on the sandy beach. It was beautiful and so peaceful. Not many seashells though.

I went to this beach October, a few days after being in Cancun on a resort. I can't say much for the amenities, because I did not use them. But me and my family (including two young children) went to this beach and had an amazing time. Compared to Cancun, this beach was FAR more beautiful than anything I saw Cancun. The sand is soft. There is hardly any seaweed. And there are seashells.

Always wonderful to get away from it all and just think and clear your head. Calm. Serene. Nothing but water, water, water. Sit back and just enjoy the quiet and take in the fresh smell of water and air.

Beautiful..

Aggressive beach patrol. You must have your line in at all times even if lines are crossing or if small children are swimming nearby.

We were able to visit the establishment but not get too close as it was under construction. It was definitely a site to see.

The beach itself is clean, and we can help keep it that way, as it is a carry in carry out beach.

Love Broadkill Beach!!!…read more This is a Delaware Bay beach, between Slaughter Beach and Lewes Beach. It's my Bizarro World beach from North Cape May and Villas, across the bay. Unlike Jersey, I saw evidence of campfires on this beach, as well as 2 cars, and other ATV mule-type vehicles. While a fire on the beach at night seems SOOO fun, I respect why this is not permitted in NJ, and was a little concerned about the legality of it in DE. Cars on the beach are just not cool. It can severely damage the ecosystem and/or dunes, not to mention the hundreds of crab burrows I saw in the sand. And of course these idiots got their car stuck, and spent an hour pushing it out of the sand. Leave your car on the road. All that aside, Broadkill Beach is a very cool beach, in a small one-road community near Milton, DE. The beach itself is beautiful, with tranquil bay waters. I did not see any jellyfish, thank goodness, nor shark fishermen, like I do in Cape May County. This made me feel more safe with my toddler swimming. No lifeguards, but that means no beach tags. Just beware the current, because it's strong. You can get some medium waves, but not huge. Nice long stretch to walk. Many people had dogs with them. Most dogs were leashed, which was so appreciated, and showed their respect for the environment, and welfare of others. There is free public parking just off the road leading to the beach. Main beach entrance is right there. General store is right across from parking, with all kinds of supplies. This place has such a relaxed, safe, fun, beachy vibe!

OCEAN CITY, MD -- OCMD gave us the perfect mix of sunrise magic, quiet beaches, and dog friendly…read morefreedom. With 10 miles of beautiful coastline and 27 blocks of boardwalk open to leashed pups from October 1 to April 30, we got to start every morning watching the sun rise over the ocean with Brie trotting beside the waves. Pure bliss. Pro tip: pack those waste bags - you will want long, slow walks on the sand. The boardwalk (down toward the southern end) is packed with gems: Being able to enjoy the beach and the boardwalk with your pup? Truly the best part of OCMD.

I went to Ocean City Beach in July with my mom for her friend's birthday, and I had the best time…read more I used to think I didn't like the beach, but now I realize I just hadn't been to a "real" one before (sorry Jersey!). The water was clean, the sand was soft, and the whole place had such a fun, welcoming vibe. I wasn't even scared of the ocean like I thought I'd be. They literally had to pull me out of the water, and I can't even swim!! Everything about the trip was perfect. The beach was spotless, and the boardwalk added so much to the experience. Between the food, the little shops, and all the attractions, it felt like there was always something to enjoy. Ocean City completely changed how I feel about the beach. I really can't wait to go back!! PS: I am accepting offers to teach me to swim to better prepare for when I head back, LOL.
