This was the best part of my vacation! (As was finding Jimmy's Kitchen that had homemade chipped beef gravy!) I'd never been kayaking before. Something inside of me said let's goooo! And so I did! I invited my daughter and her BF as well. We made reservations for an eco tour at 4pm. It was to Last about 90 min or so. We found the spot. (Right behind Ron Jon surf Shop) we were fitted into the kayaks and here we go! I thought it would be hard or strenuous to paddle but that thinking was the exact opposite of the reality! It was smooth floating over the water in the bay! This kayak can float in like 5 inches of water!! We had the best tour guide! (Jacob) He showed us all the mussels that make up the Bay island grasses and the different birds and how to tell them apart. Small blue herons with the yellow feet and we Saw a nice size Osprey flying around hunting for food. We also found and learned about horseshoe crabs. I mean, I've seen those all my life in NC but never picked up a live one! It was like a tarantula under his helmet and I think Jacob (our guide) said they had 10 eyes!!! Wow!!! We saw everything right in front of our eyes. No binoculars needed. It's extremely relaxing. Extremely informative. Extremely beautiful. There were another 3 people that bunched with our group to kayak and a family of prob 4. I think paddleboarding that also bunched with our group as well. Everyone was very respectful and very interested in everything Jacob spoke about. We didn't take our phones on the boats. We didn't know what to expect and actually we were a bit wet. Next time I'll bring mine and put in a sandwich bag or something. Also *** please tip your guide.*** It's the right thing to do. What a hidden gem in OCMD. With the abundance of places for kayaking and paddle boarding I'm so glad I stumbled upon 67th Street Paddle Cove. This spot was a short walk away from where I was staying and the prices are pretty affordable. The people working there are extremely generous and very helpful! For some of us it was our first time paddle boarding/kayaking but not to worry, the staff there are extremely knowledgable and will teach you the basics before letting you go off on your own. Shout-out to Faith for helping my family out! The cove leads out into the bay and the atmosphere was really peaceful and relaxing. Before I realized, the hour that we paid for was up! Our visit to the 67th Street Paddle Cove was nothing short of amazing! We are a first time family of four going on our eco tour with Natalie and it was everything we had wanted and more. Natalie was super chill and accommodating. She gave us a brief instruction which put our minds at ease. We had some easy practice runs in the cove before she joined us and lead us out to the bay. We saw minnows, Egrets, cranes and Herrings as well as Terrapins and clams. We meandered through the marshes then spent some time on the beach catching minnows and clams. Natalie was knowledgeable, friends and very easy to talk to. Not even half way in my youngest go too tired to paddle back and Natalie towed her all the way. She turned a potential first experience kayaking from potentially disasterous to wonderful. It was a memorable event for our family and we will come back for years to come. read more

Surprised my mom with a kayaking adventure and it couldn't have gone better! First, I had to make reservations over the phone and whoever I spoke was was very assuring and nice as could be. She answered my questions and concerns as this was out first time kayaking. Secondly, Kayla was our guide for the day...absolutely amazing. My mother had concerns about the depth of the water. She assured her that she'd be fine. BTW the bay is so shallow kids can walk through it! Forget the life jacket you won't die. Lastly, the eco tour was incredibly enjoyable, affordable, and perfect for those who are beginners. Kudos to them and we're bringing our family back for the glow paddle boarding. read more

I was lucky enough to stumble on to this little gem off 67th street bayside, right on the canal before the Sunset Beach community. I have been to this location twice this summer as it's affordable, it's peaceful & beautiful on the paddle tour with very good quality boards, nice light paddles , thoughtful and thorough instruction by very nice, patient instructors. They we very knowledgeable of the environment, the unique plants of the estuary, turtles and horse shoe crabs. I was impressed and will definitely go back. I would really like to experience the night paddle tours with the lights on the bottom of the paddleboards. read more

Best place for kayaking and paddle boarding I've ever been to! They were so nice, accommodating, generous, and super helpful for our first time paddle boarding and kayaking. We went with the whole family (one young couple mid 20s, and parents) and everyone had a blast! Couldn't recommend it enough even for beginners. Price is also very affordable and totally worth it, parking available, and also a port-a-potty. 10/10 would recommend!! read more
