I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

We checked her bag and there was literally nothing. Then suddenly she went, I only wanted to make sure. Make sure of what? She had just said she saw her do it. Instead of admitting she was wrong and apologizing, she started blaming my niece, saying she wasn't supposed to touch anything in the store. Mind you, my niece was with us the entire time, just looking around. She wasn't even running around or touching everything. We were so done with her nasty attitude and were leaving, and she was still muttering that we should watch the child. Like, seriously? She falsely accused, found nothing, and somehow we were still the problem. Customers shouldn't be treated like thieves. If dealing with people makes you this miserable, customer service probably isn't for you. At least learn some basic decency and how to admit when you're wrong.

The reason why you can never find any items that correspond with the 50% off color of the day is because as soon as this place opens, there are employees assigned to hurry up and REMOVE items with that color. I was in the shoe aisle and all of a sudden saw a woman grabbing shoes and quickly tossing them into a bag. As I looked closer, these were all shoes with BLUE stickers (which happened to be the 50% off color of the day). No one else was in the aisle which is why she likely felt comfortable doing something so grimy. The fact that everything in this store was received for FREE and literally just put on a shelves and hangers--but you people have the NERVE to not only price gauge but intentionally HIDE items that would have qualified for the 50% off color is egregious. Your greed knows no bounds.

This thrift store has mostly used items, but you'll also find new items with the original tags still on them. They have apparel and shoes for men, women, and kids. Additionally they have home goods including toys, kitchenware, appliances, electronics, linen, books, sporting goods, and much more. I was pleasantly surprised to see a number of designer and high quality apparel with the original tags still on them. While other apparel items looked only lightly worn. Among the brands I saw were Vince Camuto, Coach, White House Black Market. Most of the apparel were between $5-$20. In perusing the dresses, I was impressed at how stylish they were. Most of the shoes I saw looked worn and dirty. I wouldn't purchase shoes unless they were brand new. I didn't buy anything this time, but will definitely come back to shop for apparel.

Then there is the congestion at the registers. For some reason they decided to put the line to get to the registers right where you enter/exit the store. Making for some interesting movement within the store. They do have some wild pricing here too. There are some unique items they happened upon, but the prices for a donated item that they don't do anything with but put out for sale, is wild.
