Last month, I ordered a pair of boots from this company, called The Dean. When the order arrived, and I opened the box, there was a completely different pair of boots inside - different color, different style, different height, different, toe-box, etc. I contacted customer service to return them and was told by someone named Elle (possibly AI) that I would get a full refund and would not be charged shipping and handling because they made a mistake and sent me the wrong pair. I proceeded with my return and once the refund was issued, they withheld close to $20 for. " handling." I contacted customer service again in an attempt to get the remainder of my refund. Once again, "Elle" told me she was sorry for my experience, but the order was closed out, and there was nothing she could do. If someone orders an item and decides to return it of their own accord, I believe it's reasonable for that person to pay for shipping and handling. However, if someone places an order and the company does not fulfill that order in any way/shape or form, the ethical thing is for the company to offer a full refund minus shipping and handling charges. Based on my experience and their unethical practices, I will never do business with this company again. They are essentially trying to make me pay for a product I never received. Ordered a pair of boots for my wife, size 7.5 from Amazon - fulfilled by Wild West. The price was an unbelievable $50. We we received the package, I was amazed how light the box was - and for a solid reason. The box had a pair of size 12 mens shoes. Hannah asked me to send pictures of what was received through Amazon. I did so, and after a few hours and not hearing anything, my wife called. We got the old, "There's multiple stores involved..." "You're not the only customers this has happened to." "We font have any sizes now in that color, or any color in that style (Yet they should available but now at $199.99)" It's a bait and switch. They screwed up on the price, knew that and sent an odd pair of cheaper shows and take less of a hit knowing they would be returned instead of relinquishing the product at the listed price just as South Carolina law dictates. Placed an order for a hat band that never came. The USPS tracking number they gave me shows it to still be in South Carolina for the last 10 days. I sent an email to customer service asking for a replacement or a refund, since it appeared that the package hadn't been sent or maybe it was lost, they told me to just be patient and wait. Responded that I'd give it a few more days then I'd have to request a refund. The shop then sent me a reply email saying that since I chose to opt out of their extra shipping protection fee there's nothing they can do. No replacement, no refund, keep your fingers crossed it shows up one day. Basically, they said it's my fault for not paying the extra shipping protection fee (frankly, a scam to get an extra couple bucks added to the already inflated shipping fee) and they aren't responsible for a package that never arrived. Just filed for a charge back with my credit card company and I'll be leaving this experience everywhere I can. Like a lot of the other reviews say, the customer service at this shop is abismal and I'm not sure they even shipped out the hat band in the first place. The customer is NEVER responsible for the business using unreliable, cut rate shipping. If you pay for a product, they business is obligated to deliver it. read more

I ordered a hat from Wild West Boots online, received the hat in the WRONG COLOR & SIZE called their online order dept who never picked up the phone and never called back. When I called the store I asked for a manager but spoke to a "manager' who called the online "manager" who said a proper replacement was being prepared for shipment (both "managers" turned out to be just sales reps). The hat was never shipped and now I am being told by a very snarky and rude young man that they had sold the (single???) hat in my size and color, and my refund is held up because my return package has not been received yet, despite the fact that I sent it back via FedEx a week ago. I have been lied to again and again and told that they had no record of my emails even though I have copies of those emails in my email account. I have no idea how their actual face to face business in conducted, but their online service is 100% pure poison!!! Avoid them at ALL COSTS! read more

I ordered a shirt online. I didn't get the shirt. Customer service was terrible. Basically, a "the customer is always wrong" experience. Shipping problems are rare but they happen. When they do, online sellers are usually reasonable. They realize consumers have to trust they'll get products they pay for or they won't buy through online platforms. Not so for this business. I know nothing about this stuff! Came in with my friend who needed a ride and am now being indoctrinated into the "country life"! I was impressed with the amount of boots available. Rows and rows of the, some plain, some covered in bling or intricate stitching. It workmanship was very impressive. The store is very big and full of a wide variety of western wear. I have never been into this style. But I have to admit, I think a nice pair of boots will go well while I ride my Indian motorcycle! Hmmm, will have to look a little more closely. I found the most beautiful boots and ordered them. I also told my friend about them and she ordered and received hers. My boots never arrived. Since they automatically charge you insurance for $10 and change, I figured the process of getting my boots would be easy. WRONG. i checked with the postal carrier and my neighbors. No one saw the package. So Andrew said that I just need to file a police report. So I did. That wasn't enough because it wasn't the "right kind of report". The police department told me this report is what you file for mail theft. I believe they know what they are talking about!! So now I had to contact the police AGAIN. This is so unbelievable and ridiculous! The boots said delivered Sept 20. Today is Oct 4. No boots. And no refund in sight. Andrew said at 15 days (tomorrow ) I am out of luck ... i will get no boots and no refund !!! (FYI the boots cost over $500!!!) I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE !!! read more

This place is awesome. Great selection. They even had boots for my big a$& shrek feet. I lost a special cross and chain in their store. The looked all over for it and we found it there the next day.
