I've been here quite a few times in the past. However, this place has been changing a bit over that time. Notably, the Tuesday special. At first it was half-wings, then it went to certain wings, and now it's a mere half off only 6 wings. Anything beyond the 6 free and you're on your own. As much as I'd like to say it's worth it... well it's not. There are quite a few other wing places that are competitive and for the value of the wings, I'd rather go there during their same day special (most other places are still half-off). Overall, this places serves its purpose. If you're not trying to get a good deal, then it's pretty good. They have some decent drafts and I do like the atmosphere. I know I'll eventually come back but for the cost I'd have to be craving wings before I decide to come here again. Hands down our favorite wing place in Chesapeake. I always get the flaming parmesan and this time my husband got the medium buffalo sauce. I also got the big fat fries which were fantastic. A little crispy and not greasy at all. As usual, the food was delicious! Came out really fast and was hot. Everything was correct and our server was so attentive. He came back several times to check on us. I recommend the flaming parmesan bone in wings. The flavor is spectacular, just a hint of heat and it's a dry rub if you aren't a fan of buffalo messy fingers. They have a decent beer menu and also carry Sour Monkey. My hubs loves sour beer and you can't always find it. The restaurant and restrooms are always clean. First time here and I've heard so much rave from my friends about this place. Since I was already nearby, I decided to stop by here and try the wings. I placed an order on the phone and the girl who took my order was really sweet and very knowledgeable about the different kind of sauces they offered. I asked for her opinion on what was most popular and for more description on what i could expect from each sauce. She gave me a lot of options because it was so hard to choose from a huge selection of sauces. Seriously, it was hard for me to choose because they all sounded really good and I didn't want something to spicy because I wanted my kids to enjoy some wings as well. She helped me make a couple choices and narrowed them down. I was really satisfied of how courteous she was in helping me place my order. Upon arriving, I was greeted nicely at the front door by the girls working at the booth. I did a little walk around the restaurant to get my feel of the place. I noticed a lot of big booths that can fit around 6 to 10 people. Many families and people sitting at the bar watching on their flatscreen Tv's, enjoying their meals. I saw that they also throw live music performances here and there. I went to pick up my order and it was already waiting for me. My wing sampler with my choice of 25 wings with 5 different sauce selections and carrots, celery and cucumber was hot and ready for the kill. The wings here filled my craving for chicken. Everything I love about wings! I loved the bone in chicken wings. It hit the spot where I needed it to. Satisfied my chicken wing fix I needed. Definitely need to try the other many sauce selection and flavors next time around! I'm a chicken wing girl. I choose chicken over burgers any day. Didn't try the other selections of food so my review is strictly just of the chicken. I wish that they they would've labeled my chicken so I would've known which chicken I ordered. For a chain restaurant this place isn't too shabby. I came in with a buddy a few Sundays ago and took a seat at the bar. Our bartender was cool and changed the TV channels at our request to catch some golf. I picked out one of those make your own burger which I thought was good but was a little aggravated at what you paid for all the toppings which were very little. $1 for a piece of bacon. 50 cents for a few mushrooms. 50 cents for a piece of cheese. I suppose seeing one price would have been better without seeing all the add on prices and then hardly seeing anything on your plate. Pretty decent little wing spot. I ordered the general and gold rush wings. They were boneless and nice size. My fiancé had the red dragon and the atomic bomb. I have to say the red dragon was my favorite I ate most of his. It was like a spicy teriyaki it was very good. We also ordered the steel tots which was a plate of ranch with tater tots on top with melted cheese and bacon bits and scallions. It was pretty good. Never had something like that. They also have pretty good fish tacos for $3 on Thursdays. Their happy hour was nice too! All draft beer you can order a tall and only pay for a small until 7 I believe. They have a nice tap selection too including some local craft beers like O'Connors & Young Veterans. The only complain I have is that I wish the wings had a little more sauce on them. The wing flavors are plentiful and tasty. Food comes out at a snail's pace and if you are ever thirsty and need a refill... well, your best bet is to hope for rain. The finished product (wings) was just a bit dry but not drier than our server. Not sure I've had a more disinterested waitress anyplace. It's as though our very presence was a bother. Our favorite thing about this place was the selection of sauces and rubs for the wings. The wings are a decent size so opting for bone in doesn't mean that you are left with only bones and an empty belly. Three stars for original flavors and variety minus one star for service. Went there yesterday for the first time and it was great.. My wife took me back there today for Father's Day and it was like night and day... VERY SUB PAR.. We waited to get a seat which wasn't bad at all.. But then it took 10 minutes just to get a drink and to be told that they were not using the same menu as yesterday .. And the only reason we came back was to get the BBQ platter for 2. So.. Why start a new menu and have new menu items before your ready to offer it on a daily basis. As an out-of-towner, I was surprised that my friends that live in the VA beach area suggested we go to Chesapeake to eat at a wing joint. The name sounds similar to Buffalo Wild Wings, which is popular in NOVA, but i was happy to feel right at home eating here. There was a very small-town type of feel to the place. The wing flavors seemed endless. I split the 25 wing platter with my boyfriend. We got garlic, barbeque, lemon pepper, mild, and thai flavored wings. Everything was delicious except the mild was a bit dry, and the thai was a little too saucey (tasted like straight hoisin sauce to me, lol). Thought we would give WWC a try after picking up numerous wing orders for GH. We were not disappointed. The wings are nice sized and meaty, with 33 flavors of made from scratch sauces to choose from you'll never get bored of eating them . So far we like the Red Dragon the best, we also tried Braveheart which is just heat , Lemon Pepper lacked flavor, Hot is just your Franks, Fireball is a spicier version of Red Dragon I think, Slayer wasn't anything special. But with only trying 8 of the sauces I'm sure we will find another favorite . We appreciate that all of their chicken fresh and hormone and steroid free. read more

My family stopped in here after a pet event. We were all exhausted and wanted someplace quiet and relaxed to eat. While I doubt this place is quiet much, we were more than pleased with our visit. Our son has a severe gluten allergy so the fact they have menus specifically for people with allergies was a huge bonus! We always struggle when we are out finding things for him to eat. We were also thrilled with the outdoor seating option and the fact they allowed pets on the patio. We often have a dog or two in tow and having this option available definitely opens up options for us. Our waitress was polite and efficient. Very prompt with refills and friendly too. Let's get to the food. We tried the chicken and friends or something like that. Essentially a chicken dip. It was AMAZING! Really really enjoyed that. And it's gluten free! First visit to a Wild Wing Cafe in Johnson City, TN on 9/4/22. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated (not bad, we had 9 in our party) and seated at 8:15pm. We got our drinks-teas and water. About another 20 minutes before order was taken. I just wanted potato soup, I was told there was no more. Ok, so I ordered the Philly Steak sandwich with grilled veggies--they were out of grilled veggies. So I got onion rings. My husband and one other wanted burgers, they were out of burgers. Finally everyone ordered "something". Over an hour later, they brought out the first food item--a salad. Then one by one, it started coming--then, two of the people in our party was told there was no more mac and cheese---it was now about 9:45pm!!! I still did not have my onion rings, and my sandwich was a bit dry and not much on it. Another in my party got wings that looked very burnt--the waitress said it was the rub on them, however, they were dry as a bone on the inside and crunchy on the outside. A child in the part got the kids pizza, it was the last thing brought out and it was doughy and just a little bit of cheese on top--not very appetizing at all. The waitress finally came to "tell" me that my onion rings were just then put in the fryer!!!! We had been seated for ALMOST TWO WHOLE HOURS!!!! I'm pretty sure onion rings take less than 5 minutes to cook---they were just then putting them down?!? I told her to just forget it by then, it was late and we were all TIRED OF WAITING!! It wasn't even that busy, a lot of empty tables. The waitress knew we were very upset (by the way, the waitress was great, not her fault at all), we did not ask for one, but she brought the manager out. The first thing the manager said was that she wasn't told they were out of a lot of stuff when she came in for her shift. Really?? She's the manager, the one in charge. She should have inventoried the place when she got there and checked herself to see what they had and didn't have. She was blaming everyone else but herself---she was the one in charge, the manager. Patrons should have been told that "we are out of burgers or may run out before your order is fixed"---at least give a heads up before making them wait---and then keep coming back with more items that are not available!! I would have at least wanted half the price taken off our ticket, but the one good thing that was done was the manager did not make us pay for anything. I do appreciate that. However, the service was horrible, and the food that was received was not high quality at all. I don't care if there was no food, it was late at night, or whatever---there is no reason for customers to be treated that way and waste time---we could have just gone somewhere else to eat if they had told us up front what the problem was, or that they were short staffed and only had part of the kitchen open. I understand things happen, but don't make the customers be the ones to pay. I know I won't go back. It just left a bad taste in my mouth, in more ways than one. read more

Super disappointed with the quality of service as well as food from our trip to wild wing last night. We usually love their wings and it's about a 30 minute drive for us. We went last night and were extremely disappointed, we always get 60 Italian wings but this time they were sitting in the oil and they were extremely hard to stomach. Just seeing that in the bottom was a huge turn off. Our server was nice but the service wasn't great, she didn't check up on us, we had to flag her down when needed. This was out go to spot, but geez has the quality of service and food has gone down . We went on a Friday evening and it was half full. Yet we had to wait 20 min to be seated. When another staff came to ask why we were there waiting still the hostess just says "oops I forgot" WE WERE A FEW FEET AWAYYYY" our waitress started off good. But ended up paying more attention to the table next to us as it was a larger crowd and guessing would get tipped more. I didn't know dogs were allowed to be at the table, guess having it in a baby carriage and taking it out like a baby so it can eat from your plate is . And the waitress pretty much threw our food in the table, waitress put receipt on our table and kept walking. It took approximately 25 minutes which is the average for takeout in my opinion. Staff was friendly at phone and register. Food was ready upon my arrival which was great because I was ready to eat. As you try to eat healthier one thing I can appreciate is 33 different made from scratch flavors and their burgers are made from grass fed, 100% fresh ground chuck. I ordered the lemon pepper wings and jalapeno cheddar. I wasn't sure what to expect how the jalapeno cheddar wings would taste but I was please. My family and I came here for dinner around the week of the 4th of July. I admit I was a little skeptical at first. The hostess said there would be at least a 15 min to 25 min wait. We decided to wait. Not long after I could feel myself becoming impatient and irritable because it was taking a while and it seemed like other people were being let in ahead of us. To be honest I hate waiting for tables in general. But I also love wings! So we waited it out and sure enough we were called for our table. I regret to say I don't remember the gentleman's name that waited on us but the guy was outstanding. He was very attentive. Always right there with a fill of our drinks or to see if we needed anything. The food here is equally outstanding. Everything we had was really great. There was a nacho dish with three different dips, all of them awesome. Then onto the magnificent wings. We had five different flavors and they were all really good. The blue cheese was good too, I love when a place has a good blue cheese to go with the wings. All in all, we left feeling really happy we came here. This was my first time at this restaurant. It's located in the shopping center off Battlefield Blvd. There's plenty of parking. The hostess was very polite and greeted us immediately.
