When staying in Heber it is obvious that Wild Woods makes a lot of the signs in front of people's home, house numbers, and cute little (or big) animal sculptures that people put near their doors. Things did seem really pricey - but it would be worth the cost for a personalization to the front of your home. read more

Absolutely love this gem of a place. They have got all sorts of beautiful wood and art pieces. We've bought steel work, wood work, crystals, furniture, and just picked up our hiking bear today! We also dropped off our wagon wheel bench to get refinished today before the winter season starts back up. John, the owner, and his wife, Jenny, along with Brandon and the other team members create a great experience. We stopped in on our way back from Ouray Colorado to look for a second wooden sculpture. My boyfriend and I have been happy with our first one so we decided to stop in and buy a second. The staff is always friendly and helpful we keep ours indoors and we've yet to have any huge problems. So I'm thinking a third purchase is in our futre. They have have beautiful furniture as well so if you're into the rustic look and like wooden sculptures I highly recommend coming here. read more

On our way from Mesa to ShowLow we decided to go through Heber to visit this biz. We arrived 5 min after 5. A lady walked up to us outside and pulled out an a frame sign that said closed and stated we are closed. I said we just drove up from the valley and it took a bit longer. I then asked if it was ok if we looked around at the items displayed OUTSIDE not within any fencing. She huffed and said for a few minutes. She walked away from us and went inside the building. As she was walking away I stated have a nice evening and she did not respond. At that point my friend and I looked at each other and shook our heads not believing a business owner would treat customers like this. It was literally 5-10 minutes past 5. I wanted to order something for our cabins front yard and also a tiki totem for our pool area in the valley. Most likely in the tune of close to $1000. I had also asked her if they had a website I could order from since she was quite adamant they were closed and she said we are on FB. So the more we discussed the attitude and behavior of this business owner I posted on their FB page what I have shared here. John came on and started claiming I was 'entitled' because I expected them to 'reopen' their closed store. He also called me a 'Karen' for posting what had occurred. He went to my page and starting insulting my business and my integrity. I simply wanted to support their business...give them money for items they supposedly want to sell without being made to feel like I was doing something wrong or acting entitled because it was 5 minutes past closing time. A huge part of their inventory is all placed OUTSIDE, without any security or fencing enclosing it and they post on their FB how people are so rude because they show up after hours and walk around looking at it. And well....surprise, surprise, some people actually steal stuff. So they in turn treat all potential customers like they are thieves or entitled for wanting to give them money. I would highly suggest you do yourself a favor, protect yourself from their rude and horrid customer service and drive further to ShowLow and give them your business. read more

NEW Avoid having furniture built here. The owner is as incompetent as he is dishonest. We paid for a table, in full, in May. We were told it would be done within 6 months. It took 7. The owner blamed everything on staff that no longer worked there and hadn't for quite sometime. He makes his poor business ethics your problem. We finally got the table and it's a disaster! It WASN'T built to our specifications, his shoddy workmanship is what he calls " rustic", and to return this thing would cause us to lose over a thousand dollars that we paid for originally. We are taking it to a REAL professional furniture person who's going to fix and finish the incompetent, lazy effort the owner made to build it at less than half of our loss to return it. Steer clear of this dump. It's not worth the money for someone who puts no effort or professionalism into their work but has no problem with cheating honest people out of their hard earned money read more

Very cute place. The outside is where the majority of the wood carvings are. Inside was very bland and not a lot to look out. Their alien inventory was fantastic though. I saw on their FB page they had big foot carvings, but when I got there, they did not have any. Cute place, worth the drive. However, it is pricey! We spent $70 on a smaller (maybe 12 inch) alien. read more

Awesome place to shop and get chainsaw carved bears. The wood is local to the area that they use and they also hand paint the bears. The quality and workmanship are amazing! I would highly recommend this shop and its great place to stop, right off of highway 260. read more

Purchased 4 Aliens, about 3 to 4 footers, at the end of last season and stored them inside for the winter. Came back to find 3 of them with cracks, some fairly large, on the head and back. When we informed a worker there he said there was nothing they could do about it. He told us to go to Ace hardware and buy some chalking and lime green paint. That's very disappointing! They didnt even offer a pint of paint which they must buy by the gallons! So if you're planning on buying from Wild Woods, "buyer beware!" read more

We have a Yeti and custom sign. Both are great! The Yeti has cracks but if you want a custom carved anything from a large log from a dead tree, it will crack with time. It's called "checking" and it happens to log cabins, large support poles, anything large made out of wood that dries over time. Once it stops, you can either fill with caulking if you are going to paint over it or wood filler, or leave it and enjoy the character of the wood. I use clear rustoleum every year. Yeti survived a winter in northern Colorado, outdoors, and looks great. Would buy from them again. read more
