So, I needed to come back to change my review to go over the disastrous moving day that I only thought happened to the nasty reviewers on Yelp ! Well, last week my boyfriend scheduled a move for us and got the 1-3 pm time slot. 3:50 rolls around without a call or an update- so I ask him to call and find out what is going on. The manager Kenneth says that they will be about an hour later than expected. So we wait another hour ... I won't bore you with the details but they didn't arrive until 9pm that night. That being said, my storage room closed at 10 pm and that is where the majority of the stuff was. I would have started there if we didn't need to drop stuff off there from the first place. Kenneth kept offering me a Tuesday time slot because they were all booked until then... The thing is, I booked 1-3 pm on Saturday and kinda expected that to work out. I understand that some crazy stuff happened that prevented them from being on time ( service elevator broke, 4 guys went to help and it was a 3 min walk according to our movers) but, it's not my job to fix it. As you know, scheduling time off during a weekday isn't so simple especially when you know... You already booked the time. I was super bummed that this even occurred because I ranted and raved about how this company moved me the first time... They were fantastic! It was such a shame it went this way and the communication was horrible. To have to constantly call a company when it should be the opposite was disheartening to say the least and demonstrated that the "it's not our problem" attitude from management was ok. (Disclaimer: that is my perception, Kenneth could have actually cared.. It just didn't feel like it) I even waited a whole week to update my review because I wanted to take a moment and chill. I am disappointed overall because the perception I had was that it was ok to screw us over... (According to one of the movers we weren't even on the schedule today... Uh.. What? Don't get me going on that!) as long as everyone who booked after us wasn't screwed over. I most likely won't be using this company again- not knocking the movers because they worked hard to get us moved in. I'm not a person who asks a company how they are going to make it right- but, there wasn't even an offer to maybe comp an hour since... I don't know you were a total of 6 hours late? I wouldn't want it now because it would be insincere- I just hope that no one else experiences this type of situation because it genuinely sucks and is insanely stressful. If you do decide to use this company, be flexible on the day (have the whole week available apparently) and book them as the first time slot and not in the afternoon. I don't really care to have a response from the owner seeing as how he was aware of situation and didn't reach out anyways- at this point it would be moot. I hate being harsh in my reviews and this is probably the lowest review I've ever given, but I'm still annoyed by the whole situation. I just wish it would have gone differently. **Update 11/20/15** A week after our move and a day or so after I updated my review- I have received a compliment from Kenneth explaining his side of the situation and also that my comments may have been out of line regarding his attitude, you can read below: Thank you for you very detailed review. I apologize for all the inconvenience on your move day but I tried my hardest to get a crew there to get you moved on time but for you to badger me and say I didn't care is a little uncalled for. I was doing my best to work with you and the moves I was already attending to. I care deeply about all of our customers I was willing to come out myself and get things started but we were short staffed. I understand you had a set date with us but a lot of things can happen in the moving business that can hinder our performance. I was offering a discount with the new date but that wasn't an option do to your schedule so we sent 4 guys over for the price of 2 which saved you an additional 109 per hour. But once again we are very sorry for the inconvenience and we highly appreciate your business Thank you I pride myself on giving honest reviews about service & my perception, I couldn't make up a false review if I tried. Zach also reached out to my boyfriend a week after our move to reiterate what Kenneth said, and as you can see, he even replied to this review. These guys were my heroes. A week before my move, my original movers bailed on me. I was stressed trying to find someone on such short notice. Daniel gave me a quote within the hour I requested it, and got everything set up quick. Alton and Henry showed up not just on time, but even 15 minutes early. They hustled pretty quick and took care of my belongings. Very nice and patient gentlemen, as they even put up with moving my furniture around as I changed my mind on where to put stuff. Wildcat moved my 3bd/2bth home in December 2015. The movers arrived about 30 minutes late, but I don't consider that a big delay. They were nice guys, and when we arrived in the new home, they were up front about any issues that happened during unpacking and moving in. Unfortunately. I wish they hadn't caused those issues to begin with, for example by wrapping my expensive dining table in a blanket when placing it on the truck (they didn't, and a corner chipped off). It never occurred to me until then that they hadn't wrapped 90% of my items when placing them on the truck... lesson learned. I also thought they were on the expensive side... when my fiancee moved in we used a different moving company, and they were quite a bit cheaper while still wrapping all items inside the truck in blankets. Their estimated duration was spot on but I will not be using them again. I cannot recommend anyone else doing so either. Wrapping big wooden furniture in blankets before placing it on the metal floor of a truck seems like a given. I am not sure how they earned 5 star reviews, but I guess I learned my lesson there too. Go with the company that worked for you in the past, instead of thinking the grass is greener on the other side. read more

BEWARE. MISSING CASH. We were happy with Wildcat Movers until right after they left and we realized that $400 cash was missing from a bedside table. The movers got to the master bedroom sooner than I expected and so I didn't remove the money as I should have. By the time I realized they were there, the table was wrapped in their green plastic and heading out to the truck. I had filled the drawers and covered the contents with towels to keep things from moving about, but the money was in a stack of $20 bills leaning against the inside of the drawer and would have been visible upon pulling the drawer out a bit. The cash was definitely there that morning as it was for tipping the movers and paying a separate mover who was disassembling and reassembling a weight machine later. We notified Zane the next day, but asked him to wait to talk to his crew until we'd unpacked everything on the off chance someone had put the money elsewhere. We were hoping against hope that we were wrong because we liked the men who moved us and truly hoped they hadn't been tempted to theft. Zane gave little response at that point. Yesterday, when there was absolutely nowhere else the money could be, we called him back to say it was certain the money had been taken. Zane's response was to say he'd call his crew and get back to us. He called my husband today to say they all denied it and we should call the Dallas police because a friend of his was an investigator and they had interrogation "techniques." We are on the eve of an overseas move and can't see spending the time on something the Dallas police are likely to have no time for. Besides, if the men denied it when their jobs were theoretically on the line, it seems highly unlikely someone would confess with criminal charges on the line. Zane showed minimal concern, made no offer to make restitution nor gave any indication that he would further supervise his employees. He said we shouldn't have left the cash in the drawer. While this is undoubtedly true, that oversight was not an excuse for theft. We feel terrible about this. Three men moved our furniture and it is possible that 2 of them had nothing to do with this, but the suspicion remains over all of them and Zane is totally unwilling to acknowledge the theft or make any offer of restitution. It seems that he intends to go forward with his business as if nothing had happened, putting these men in other people's homes. This attitude from a business owner is very troubling to us. Use Wildcat Movers with caution. If cash can go missing, so can other things. On a much more minor note: We were scheduled to move on a Saturday and it was imperative that we be out of our rental house by the weekend. Although we thought we could move in one day, Zane assured us he'd block aside the weekend just in case as I was worried about weather. Sure enough, it rained on Saturday, but it turned out that Zane had made other commitments for Sunday after all. We had a 1.5 hour delay and were able to complete the move that night. Still, if the rain had continued longer, Zane's attitude was basically we were out of luck as he had another customer to attend to on Sunday. It definitely raised the stress level for the move. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I paid $3300 to have my house moved and it was a terrible experience. First the movers did not do as they advertise. The "red carpet treatment" is not what to expect. The movers multiply times got into our fridge in the garage to help themselves to snacks and energy drinks without asking. Second there were no masks worn at anytime and third they dropped my refrigerator from the top of the moving truck, Totaling the unit. I paid $2500 for the fridge 1.5 years ago and it was a complete loss. I filed a claim with this company and it took two weeks to get a response that I initiated. They sent me an offer of $681.00 to replace the fridge. I asked them to reconsider and provided the receipt of purchase with the fridge and ext. 5 year warranty. They denied this, and said $681 is all they would pay. I yelled and screamed and they could care less. DO NOT USE THEM. Also the owner never once reached out to apologize or discuss. This move has now cost me $6000 out of my pocket. Their insurance is the required state minimum and they will not budge if anything is damaged. In the fine print their contract states any damage will be paid at .60 cents to the pound. So If they drop your 50 pound flat screen that cost 2K, your only getting pennies on the dollar to replace the item. Horrible experience..... I added pictures that I took the morning before they touched the fridge and after pics. Doors, hinges, and glass shelves were completely destroyed. And worst of all they left it for me to deal with. I asked them to schedule to come pick up the fridge and NO response. Move on to the next google search and pick another company, please..... read more

Wildcat Movers are incredible. They are personable, polite, and friendly. They arrived when they said they would, they worked really quickly and efficiently and they did everything we asked them to, and the price was very good. We hope we don't ever have to move again, but if we do they will definitely be our movers again. They were so great we threw in subway lunch and a nice tip! Just wanted to add another update - six months later and we have still not received the offered compensation for our broken TVs. Zane, the owner, agree to refund our move cost and although that is less than 25% of what we spent on the televisions, at least it was something. We signed and sent the form to him as requested - and still have not received a check. He refuses to respond to our inquiries. So not only will they break your expensive electronics, they have horrible customer service. I think my review is getting hidden by Yelp, and I'm not sure why but it honestly upsets me that people look at this moving company and see 4.5 stars when they have been SO difficult to us. read more

My wife and I just completed a move using Wildcat movers and have nothing but good things to say. First, they had easy, upfront rates with no hidden charges or extra fees. Second, they called us the day before to confirm. The day of the move they showed up 15 minutes early and had everything needed for safely moving and wrapping our furniture. We were moving from an apartment into a two story house. They handled the stairs with no problems and were great in assisting with putting things back together (dressers and a giant entertainment center). Despite showing up early, we were not charged extra and they did not take any breaks! The movers were able to get everything moved and did not cause any damage to the furniture, old apartment, or new house. I recommend them to anyone who asks, and I have even referred family to them! read more

4 and a half to be exact! My friend and I hired this company two weeks apart, had different movers but had almost the exact same experience. My movers were Markos and Drew who were really great. They did their jobs well, were very friendly, and DID THEIR JOBS!! They showed up in the first half of the 2-hour window they gave me which is very good in my book! Specially compared to the movers I hired last year, who arrived about 1 hour after the 3-hour window they gave me! Still, the most important part was that they did their job the whole time and they did it well. The half point I wouldn't reduce from these guys is their conservative use of protective pads. This was in part my fault for not making them use them all, but when you have enough pads you should use them for every piece of furniture that can be harmed. They did not use any pads for my nightstand so which led to some minor damage to their surface. My friend (who hired these guys two weeks easier, remember!!) did jot have the same problem mainly because his furniture were less sensitive than mine! Overall, I really like the fact that these guys do their jobs and I highly recommend them. Just remember to push them to use every pad they have, so that your furniture are completely safe read more

I started by calling Wildcat Movers with a week notice. I was given a quote that couldn't be matched moving from the 3rd floor and back to the 3rd floor. I did not take the quote the first call, of course shopping around, but when I called back all the information was saved and same time frame was available. The movers called with their ETA the day of the move as mentioned. Needless to say the movers completed a 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom move in 3.5 hours including; a 30 minute drive, washer and dryer hookups, and breaking down a queen size sleigh bed and also reassembled it on delivery. Everything on delivery was were I wanted it placed. It would have taken me so much longer to do this without their assistance. Thanks to those guys at Wildcat movers. I would refer this company to anyone needing help moving anything. read more

Yelp let me down with this one. Everything seemed kosher initially - I put in an online appointment request and they followed up with me the next day. The guy I spoke with was very thorough and quoted me a fair price. Then the day of the move rolled around. Granted, the weather was rainy, so the fact that they were late wasn't surprising. What did surprise me is that I had to call THEM (twice) to make sure they were still coming. I finally got a call back an hour after the initial start time - and they were still 25 minutes out. I was also surprised that they didn't take any precautions to deal with the weather (it had been raining for days at that point) and the possible consequences that could arise, like mud. My roommate noticed they were tracking mud all throughout his house and had to bring it to their attention. They did put down a blanket (which they obviously had with them the whole time, they just chose not to use it) and later, when we got to my place, they tracked mud onto my new carpet. Moving is a pain no matter what, but Wildcat unfortunately made it even more of one. I will at least say that they successfully got all my stuff from one place to another, but next time, I'll go with a moving company with more professionalism. read more

Highly recommended! We recently moved in to our 2nd story apartment from California and didn't expect the weather to be as cold and rainy as it was when we decided to unload our trailer at the end of January. The two movers that Wildcat sent were very punctual, friendly, professional and efficient. They worked really hard, walking in the cold rain (it even hailed for 20 minutes!) without complaining. They were very pleasant and made our move so much easier. They even subtracted those 20 minutes that they were unable to work (due to the weather) from our total time which was really nice. Having several not so pleasant moving experiences in the past, both local and long distance, I found the poster boys for a great moving experience with Wildcat. Zane the owner came a week before to survey the furniture and "stuff", gave me an estimate for 3 guys, 6-9 hours, all included, no hidden costs or fees! The morning of the move Zane showed up with his 3 movers Drew, Kenneth, and Alton, who were just the most polite and awesome guys, some of them ex-military so that made it even better. Zane stayed around for a few hours, got then started, so on they went. They had some really heavy furniture to move down from 2nd floor, and the were as careful as could be, not one ding or paint chip on the wall, just a wonderful job. The move-in was to 1 story, so easier, but by then the TX heat started to kick it up a notch, so there pace slowed, but all got done, and total 7 hours, well within the 6 - 9 hour estimate. Great service, and would recommend (already have several times) to anyone needing local moving, just the best, a true 5 star mover! You can call around, but you will not find a more reputable honest company to deal with. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is because there was a scheduling mix-up and they arrived two and a half hours later than our quoted time. But Zac was quick and efficient, and made our move much easier. Both guys were friendly and professional. Once they arrived, the two movers were able to load our heavy furniture in less than an hour.
