Have been meaning to come here for quite some time, to check them out as an alternative to Gander Mtn or Cabela's. Trying to support a local business. The place is pretty darn cool! A very nice gun selection, and word has it a great gun smith. Lots of general hunting supplies, though the upland bird clothing is a bit lacking. This could be because it is late in the season, though. They also have a respectable tack and saddle shop, pet supplies, clothing, etc. The prices seemed reasonable to me, and there were some great sale prices on under-armour types of base layers. I will definitely be back. Customer service was GREAT! Some VERY experienced and knowledgable staff, especially about the guns and hunting. read more

I loved the store until yesterday Wednesday August 26. On Sunday I purchased a fluricarbon muskie leader. On Tuesday I opened package and was going to tie the leader on when I noticed a huge gouge in the leader,I did not use the leader. On Wednesday I brought the bad leader in with the receipt. The young man at the counter was the same young man that was working on Sunday. I showed him the leader and simply requested a different leader he said yes I went over to rack inspected 1 of the 4 remaining leaders on rack and brought the leader to counter set it there and proceeded with other shopping. Shortly after Wally approached me and asked me"if I would like to call musky innovations about the bad leader" I was a little confused by this being the product came from the store! Then Wally proceeds to state they I should call them and they will send me a new leader. He stated"that he was concerned about giving me a new leader because he thought the leader had been "raked by a hook" basically Wally was implying that the damage occured by me using it! I told Wally that I never used the leader! Until this point Wally had seemed like a nice guy to me! I'm in the store on a weekly basis and have spent over 700 dollars there this year!! Basically Wally was in a round about way not only calling me a liar, but also a thief by trying to return a product that he thought I damaged! I did not overreact over this but as the day went on it really made me angry for him to treat me so poorly! Given what happened yesterday, I will never spend another penny of my hard earned money in the wilderness store again! Upon me looking through my receipts right now I'm also noticing I was overcharged twice on 2 super shad raps! So who's the real thief? Also I will be posting the horrible way I was treated anywhere I please!! What happened to customers always right? Guess it not only doesn't apply at the wilderness,you will also be falsey accused of being a liar and a thief! Anyone who knows me personally knows I am neither of the 2 that Wally was accusing me of! Good luck fishing Wally!! Maybe a little forethought on your part would have kept me as a customer!!
