Bring poncho, garbage bags for your legs, belongings, and a ziploc baggy for your cell phone. They encourage you to take photos, hence ziploc for your cell phone. You don't get drenched, but you will get wet. I brought an extra change of clothes, but we did not need it. The show is very campy, fun, and interactive. I had to hold an airplane up at the beginning of the show since I was in an aisle seat and in the middle section. Later, a cast member wanted me to stand up and dance with him, but I said no. He was fine with it, so they don't pressure you. LOL During the show, they called out me and my friend as they walked down the center aisle - LOL. They also go in between aisles and move all around the space so look to the sides or in the back, etc. Because it was Halloween weekend, I think it was a very very slightly different show (by maybe 5%). Audience was in costume, had costume contest, a couple different lines in the show, etc. The taco dinner included in the tix price was delicious! Did street parking. The doors to the show are in the back, look for the murals on the wall. They ask for volunteers too.

Keep an eye out for the wonderful shows. A Christmas Musical Extravaganza is in Dec 16 & 17th! We just saw Michael Steele & Alyson williams in salute to Luther Vandross & Phyllis Hyman. You can have beer or wine as long as you buy a sippy cup which will cost you an extra 25 cents. But the wine and beer are quite cheap at $4.50 with a decent selection. TL:DR - An emotionally moving experience that immersed the senses…read more Located South of Ktown and in the same building as Lab Rat Escape Room. There is street parking on the adjacent streets. Before I begin to gush about how much I love this experience, I think its important to note that this is not an escape room. There are puzzle elements but it is first and foremost a story. And that story is fucking good! I had done the Lab Rat escape room the previous year and it is still the best escape room I have ever done. I wanted to see what else Hatch Escapes offered and the Nest sounded great, so I went with that. My wife and I showed up on a cool Sunday morning and we're unsure of what to expect. We were lead to the 5th floor of the building and down a row of storage units. We were handed a flashlight, a tape deck, and then were guided into one. What would ensue for the next 2 hours was a beautiful story of promise, romance, dreams, heartbreak, and the memories of a world that might have existed. I was honestly not ready for this. I am not a crier in the slightest and found myself tearing up as I progressed through the rooms. The final room took all my will to not just break down bawling. When we walked back out into the sun, I felt a renewed sense of appreciation for the people in my life. If you're on the fence about going, just do it. You will have a great time and a moving experience.

The Nest says online that 2 to 4 can sign up at once, but honestly after going through it, I felt two of us was perfect, as noted in another review, some spaces are tight and you do have to duck under some areas. I don't want to give any secrets away or spoil anything, because you want to arrive and immerse yourself in the experience. Let's just say I didn't understand the other reviews about that it can make you feel emotional, until halfway through, something got me in the feels, and then at the very end, just when you think it's over, one more thing got all my emotions hit (in a good way) and I didn't want to leave. It was so special. The Nest is similar to an escape room as you are still solving some puzzles, but it's without pressure and everything builds upon itself as you go. I definitely recommend The Nest. I know it's strange but, I almost want to go back and do it again alone, just to absorb it in all over again.

I seriously CANNOT say enough about how well this program is run. I honestly wish all the spaces in my life were this intuitive, communicative, and professional. Every teacher and sub we have been exposed to has been an A+. It also has been so helpful for my kids to interact with working musicians who are at various stages of touring and recording. It makes the pursuit all the more real for them. The Soundlife performances are a wonderful risk free way for the kids to discover who they are as performers. It's sort of amazing how they find ways of building community while also offering 1:1 classes. Soundlife couldn't be easier to recommend.

Visited this theatre for Netflix is a Joke to see Matt Matthews…read more The theatre was easy to find. Signs were well placed for turns, parking, and entrances. We arrived early and followed signs right to the free parking lot across the street from the theatre. I was on crutches at this time so it was a hike from the lot down the long street to the corner and across the street but was still quite manageable. The security was efficient and we got inside easily. We were confused because we didn't see a concession stand but saw people with cans. It turned out the stand was outside the door opposite security but it was rather unnoticeable. We found out we couldn't bring anything into the theatre which I understand; however, it would have been nice to know that before arriving. It did turn out the concession stand had canned water that we could bring into the theatre. The bathroom was small in this historical building so expect to wait. The auditorium was beautiful. The history and the architecture were evident. They maintained the building extremely well. Most of the staff were very helpful. The sound in the auditorium was excellent. It made it easy to hear and cackle at everything Matt Matthews said. It was a good show!

Parking- They have a decent sized parking lot next to the theatre that offers free parking. The trick is to get their early enough before it fills up. There is also pay parking very close by. I had a great time seeing a comedy magic show by Justin Willman. The most challenging thing about this venue is they seem to offer a very limited selection of the types of events that I would like to see.

The one the play was in was the smaller of the two, a 40+ seat small venue. The other theatre was being prepared for another show, I presume as there were some men working on a stage and the seats there were covered with plastic. That appeared to be the main stage as there were more seats. The seats in the B Theatre were very comfortable, cushioned movie theatre style seats. The venue is so intimate there really didn't appear to be any seat that wouldn't be good. A woman was there when I entered and she marked me off the list. I bought my ticket online and it was a will call matter. She handed me a program and as with many theatres, that is your ticket. The house opened about 10 minutes before the play started. Across from where she was doing the ticketing was a small area with snacks and drinks. There are bathrooms down a hall. This is a perfect venue for staging small plays.

Burai - Standing All Alone - an original Japanese Stage Play…read more This play, written, directed and produced by Naoki Fujiyama is why I made my way to Theatre Theater one Saturday night. That and an invitation from one of the cast members. This venue is pretty intimate, in other words, small, but it allows those in the nose bleed seats to see and hear the action too, unlike other venues where you might need a pair of binoculars. Everything is definitely worn but it works and I'm sure it's how admission costs are affordable. I'm not of this world of entertainment so I can't comment on the acoustics or lighting except that everything seemed to work. Seats were ok. Not in the best condition but, I also wasn't sitting on springs or metal. As for parking - this theater is on Pico. Street parking is available - just have to find a space. Overall - the place is OK. Been to better. Been to worse.
