    Delicious pastries.

After two trips to this bakery, I think it's time to write a review. It's tucked away in the basement of the Olympic House at Palisades Ski Resort, but worth searching for. It's a great affordable stop for breakfast or lunch. The bakery offers a variety of baked goods (pictures below), sandwiches, soup, and chili at prices that are very reasonable for a ski resort. Unfotunately, I haven't tried everything on the menu because I keep going back for their chili. The chili is hearty, has plenty of meat, and come with a breadstick on the side. It's $10.00 for a 12oz serving which is enough to keep me going for an afternoon of skiing. It's got a nice kick to it, but isn't overly spicy. It's a popular spot for lunch, so the seats fill up, and the lines get longer. The staff is efficient, so you usually don't have to wait very long. Enjoy!

An objectively terrible experience from all points! I ordered a breakfast bagel - it took 25 minutes to be ready! A bit of an atrocious wait. It seemed very poorly organized as there was a huge crowd waiting for their food - and the registers were fully staffed up - not taking orders ... just chilling while people are waiting an obnoxiously long time for their food. In addition to that - their breakfast bagel caused me to be seriously sick in the stomach for days. So come here if you would like to feel I'll for the rest of your trip. Or be intelligent and avoid this place altogether- the hype is not worth the stomach pains and atrocious wait times

Chocolate chip cookie, you can't not get one

Dough not skip this spot - an Olympic valley staple in the heart of Palisades village. The lines will be long but they are worth it. Come early and stock up on delicious breakfast items, baked goods, and most importantly the cookies. Hot and fresh chocolate chip cookies are an 11/10. You can bring them on the mountain with you for a midday treat. I repeat, dough not skip on Wildflour. There's a limited menu window outside which served everything we needed. Can't wait to come back and eat plenty more cookies plus check out their full menu for lunch options.

    Great cookies!!

Fresh baked items and Peet's Coffee plus a great spot to sit before heading out to ski. Wildflour serves up fresh bagels and rolls and all kinds of things to fill your belly for a day on the mtn. It's located on the ground floor, under the O Bar and back behind the Chamois. There's more seats by uostairs if the comfy chairs and tables are full. The cookies are always great, gooey yumminess. The tortilla phat is a high power brkfst with eggs. The tomato soup is tasty when your toes are cold. The line can look long, but if you move to the customers' left there are usually much shorter lines on that end.

This place is $$$. $15 for a bagel sandwich and worth every penny (especially slopeside). Chocolate chip cookies are unbeatable!

The food is amazing! Especially the chocolate chip cookies. I recommend going after skiing or snowboarding at Palisades Tahoe.

I finally had some some time while in the area and made sure to visit. I was not prepared for the sheer volume of GF items! It is not the largest bakery, but that doesn't matter when the variety of pastries and sweets are as high caliber as this! I had some questions about items, and the staff was super friendly and answered them for me. I had the hardest time deciding what to get. I had to go with something simple and comforting. I chose the pull apart cinnamon roll. It was everything I dreamed that it would be. Soft, fluffy, cinnamony, and coated with cream cheese frosting. Paired with a vanilla latte, it was the absolute highlight of my week. There are some indoor low tables and high top tables if you would like to sit inside. A couple of tables outside are available as well. I've had a favorite coffee shop in Truckee already, but I think this one will be my new recommendation.

I have yet to try a bakery good I didn't like there. I will stock up on their breakfast bowls too. They are quick and filling and one of the few things I can get my teenager to eat in the morning. I might not be a local, but I always feel like one when I go here. I highly recommend this business!

Not sure what people are raving about with this place. Everything looks and tastes like it came in…read morefrozen from a wholesaler and then just defrosted. We got a chocolate croissant (only decent thing I got, but don't compare it to an artisanal made croissant where it's a dark golden brown with flaky crispy buttery layers). Their "croissants" are more like anemic, soft, moist bread. Also, got a cheese Danish. Starbucks sells a better cheese Danish than this place. The Danish was dry and hard and the center filling looked like it was pre-made frozen and just placed on top of the Danish. Finally, the worst of the worst, I got a personal size dutch apple crumble pie. Now THIS looked like it was made from scratch and I had hopes for this one. However, I took a piece of the crumble topping and ate it. It had an unusual funny taste. Almost like it was made with lavender. Didn't taste quite right. Then, when I got back to my hotel, I really dug into it. It wasn't just the crumble that was off, but the entire pie tasted of rancid spoiled butter. I had to spit it out, it was horrible. I can't believe they would serve that. I don't know how old that thing was, but they need better quality control. The only people I could see giving this place 5 stars on the food, are locals. Tahoe is behind when it comes to quality high end artisanal pastries. I have yet to find a decent coffee shop. Their sign boasts "Voted Best in Tahoe", but you'll see that almost every spot here has the same sign, from ice cream shops to bakeries to whatever else because there's literally nothing here. If you're from a big city, don't come here. Service was pleasant. No complaints.

Looks can be deceiving…read more.. 3.14 Pie day! Arrived at 2:45pm and we were the only ones there. Not much to choose from, but they did have the lemon meringue that everyone was raving about and two kinds of apple pie. Over two hours until closing at 5pm on Saturday and the chairs were already flipped over on the tables as if they were closing/cleaning. The lady packed our order to go without asking, so I guess that was also a hint to not stick around. Onto the pie: it sure looked nice, but one bite was all I needed. I did take a second bite just to make sure my taste buds weren't playing tricks on me. The meringue was gummy, the crust was soggy. The lemon filling was ok, but did not compensate for the top and the bottom being almost inedible. I don't know if it was old, just bad, or both. This was honestly one of the worst lemon meringue pies I've ever had. We would have been better off getting a pie at the grocery store. We didn't dig into the apple pie yet, but after the lemon meringue, I don't have high hopes.
