The most amazing day ever!! It was always my dream to meet and pet a sloth!! I had never been here before and was not even aware this rescue existed! Our tour guide / biologist Daniel was the best, sweetest most helpful friendly and informative guide. Thank you so much Daniel you were awesome!! I got to meet and pet Syd the sloth with our private experience package, and it's is worth every penny!! Syd is the most adorable sloth and I'll be back to see him again in the future. Loved this facility, all the animals and the staff.

Trainer Aimee was amazing. She has so much knowledge on all the animals. We were able to do some of the animal experiences which are a must if you visit. My favorite was feeding the giraffe. It's a small place, you can go on your own, have a birthday party there, get a personal tour, do a school trip. Either way good place to visit. We took my sister and her husband who were visiting from AZ and they had a great time. Don't forget to tip Aimee, or your tour guide, after your tour. They work really hard and take wonderful care of the animals.

Wow! A hidden gem that exceeded my expectations! Took the kids here for the Labor Day holiday. The staff is very friendly, informative, and accommodating. They had alot of animals to see, lots to explore! It was so hot outside but it is very well shaded with trees. All the paths and enclosures had the breed of the animals or reptiles along with names and how they were acquired. I love that this is an animal sanctuary for rescued and rehabilitated animals who cannot return to the wild. Rather than a zoo holding animals that could live in the wild. So many for the kids to explore, lots to learn here, even for adults. It was an amazing day for us! We had Groupons and paid extra for a private viewing of an Armadillo. The kids were able to touch and learn one on one. They have a small lot or lots of street parking. I highly recommend!

What a random yet awesome little zoo/learning center. I will say the animals here are much better quality than that you would find a large zoo. I came here for a private party for my friends birthday so they had tables for us setup to have lunch with food we brought and they had an hour animal showing that we got to touch animals such as armadillos and lizards. Pretty comfortable private room and after the party we were able to check out the other animals in the back and admission came with our party price. In terms of everything in the back you got to see many exotic type of animals that you wouldn't see at a zoo. They have many different types of monkeys, alligators, snakes and much more. Parking - This is where it could be rocky. They have a small lot that fits maybe 10ish cars otherwise you have to do street parking on the local streets nearby.

Such a Fun place for all ages. All animals/reptiles look happy. First time I visit and I can't wait to go back. Small place but there's a lot to see. Friendly welcoming staff. Parking is very small but there's a ton of street parking as it's located in a neighborhood.

Great little zoo. My 6 year old absolutely loved it. Made for a great short outing! Were there about 1.6- 2 hours. Look for discounts on Groupon

The Wildlife Learning Center is SO cool. When my nieces were in town (aged 5 and 7 at the time), I thought the Wildlife Learning Center would be something they'd find fun. A private tour for 4 ran us $350 which I thought would be reasonable for some personal one on one time with the animals. They have a small parking lot and a small gift shop upon entering. Bathrooms are in the gift shop area, as well, and it is where you meet for the tours. It was so cool to have our own private 90 minute guided tour. We pet a sloth, a porcupine, fed a tortoise, fed lemurs, pet snakes - it was so incredibly fun and interactive. Animal lovers will be in heaven! The animals are well taken care of and they only have animals that cannot be released or are being nursed before being released. It's truly a haven for them plus a learning experience for children & adults alike. Even though I did a private tour, they do have normal admission for $16 if you'd just like to go and check out the animals. Also, the posted that all animals have been safe thus far through the fires. They were evacuated then brought 'home'. THANK GOODNESS.

    Fennec fox. So cute!

My friend brought me here back in 2014. Instead of giving presents for our birthdays, we treat each other to experiences and since we are animal lovers this was a special treat for both of us. WLC was established in 1998 as a refuge for wild animals born in Zoos across the world that were either rescued or displaced. Currently, it is home to over 50 species and even has a giraffe. This non-profit center is a wonderful place. A visit here provides an educational experience, and you also get to interact with some of the animals. My friend treated me to a tour, so we got to feed the sloths, which she loved! And, had the opportunity to pet a Fennec fox, which I loved! We had a wonderful time, and it was a memorable day for us both. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and eager to share their knowledge and the animals were all well cared for. I often refer this place to people and suggest coming here if you haven't. It's a fantastic way to spend the day.

Out guide showing us the armadillo. So much knowledge! Thank you!

Love this place. Not only because it's close to home but because of their mission to be a sanctuary to so many animals. We recently went to their evening event to checkout their nocturnal animals and we had so much fun seeing the animals at nighttime and learning so much about them from our guide. We've been here a few times and it never disappoints! Visit and support this center!

A hidden gem in Sylmar! Small but beautiful little wildlife center. For people with young children, this place is perfect. Less overwhelming than a large zoo, and you can clearly see where the money goes--back into these wonderful animals and the education behind it. Friendly staff, and affordable. I would say the only recommendation I have is to put more stable grounding for people with disabilities especially with in a wheelchair. The rocks are challenging to push a wheelchair through. Otherwise, we were very happy with our experience. Would go again!

    Love the faces!

Lions, tigers, and bears oh my! Well, maybe not but servals, porcupines and a giraffe oh my, and so much more! I had been to Wildlife Learning Center before, but we had not done a tour. For my great nieces birthday, we decided to book an Adventure Tour, and I highly recommend it. The tour is 1.5 hours, however, ours ran a little longer, and our tour guides were just phenomenal, and so informative! My entire family was just thrilled to touch and feed so many animals! The giraffe and the porcupines were so friendly, sweet and just downright adorable! Luckily, it was a cooler August day, especially since our tour was at 9:30 AM. I recommend an early tour as parking can be a challenge, and by the time we left, it was pretty packed. We had such a memorable experience, I had to make sure that I reviewed WLC before the end of the 2024, as this was one of the highlights of the year! I would love to do it again, and I'm sure my family would as well!

10/10 stars to everyone at Wildlife Learning Center. If you're looking for a fun place to visit and/or host an event, please consider the Wildlife Learning Center!! We hosted a birthday party here and it was so much fun! The team members for our party met us at the front 30 minutes before our event, helped us set up and walked us through the event timeline. The party area was well organized and efficiently spaced. It was adorable to be between the monkeys and the lemurs. They had outlets available for us to use for fans and such. We were also able to leave the birthday cake in the fridge which was great considering it was a hot day. When the guests arrived, they were given a wristband color specific to our party. They were then free to roam and explore or come hang out at the party area. As they slowly trickled back, we brought out the cake and enjoyed it while the team taught us loads of animal trivia. We learned about parrots, bunnies, porcupines, insects, snakes, etc, etc. The animal interaction portion was a total hit! At the end of the event, the team members for our party helped us tear down and pack up. They wiped down and sanitized the park tables before packing them away. Our guests all left with nothing but positive feedback. A couple notes: 1. At no point did we feel rushed. We thought the 30 minutes beforehand wouldn't be enough but the team was so fast, we were set up in no time. We then thought we wouldn't have enough time for the animal interaction portion before they closed. Nope, they moved through that portion smoothly as well. The team who assisted us was honestly amazing. 2. The animals all looked well cared for and interacted with their handlers positively. Whenever we had a question, the team always answered "I have seen" or "in my experience" which was refreshing to hear as it felt they had formed personal relationships with the animals. Bonus: the animals all have fun names! 3. Parking: They had mentioned at the time of booking the parking lot was small and they were not kidding! There are maybe less than 15 spaces and the entrance is snug. Considering the park is open to the public as well as your party guests, carpooling is definitely recommended!

We just had my son's birthday here and it was amazing! The staff are so helpful and helped set up everything for the party. The space was right next to some of the animals, which he loved! They also brought out a specific animal my son requested to see. The center itself is such a cute setup and I love that most of the animals here were rescued. Thank you so much for making my son's birthday so memorable!

My son attended Adventurewood camp for the first time this week. For the most part he enjoyed…read morehimself -- particularly the characters they introduce throughout the week. However, we decided to pull him out for next week because of a very disturbing situation. He shared that a counselor had pushed him with both hands on his shoulders during a capture the flag activity. He had dropped his flag and was putting it back on when a counselor (he didn't know her name) pushed him back hard enough to make him lose his balance and fall. She also barked "you need to reset!" She didn't ask if he was ok or help him up. You'd think if this was an accidental push and he fell over she would say something like "sorry bud are you ok? Here let me help you up" but nope, not a word. A friend he's attending camp with witnessed the whole incident. Since I pick them both up in the afternoons they both recounted this situation to me and both of them noted how inappropriate her behavior was. I immediately reached out to Michael, the owner of the camp. He said he wanted to identify this counselor and get her side of the story. Understandable. My son felt uncomfortable going back the next day but I reassured him it would be handled and offered to drop him off in the morning and stick around to talk to Michael and the counselor. I wanted him to feel safe. Michael identified her (her name is Carson) and said he wanted to talk to her first, which he did a few feet away from me. I heard her say she didn't push him. They then walked over to me and she again denied everything. So we asked both kids to come over and recount what happened. They both did -- in front of her -- and reiterated she pushed him. She denied even touching him. So Michael suggests at this point that perhaps it was an accident and my son responds by saying "how do you push someone like that by accident?!" No response. So I ask her, are you saying these kids are lying? She again said she didn't touch him and at this point we send the kids away. I'm incensed because not only does she gaslight both of them to their face but tells this bold faced lie to her boss in front of the campers and me. I tell her I believe them and I think she's the one lying. At this point she gives me this dirty look - angry, irritated and almost rolls her eyes at me. I turn to Michael and say "and now she's giving ME an attitude?!" Unbelievable. In a follow up call, he tells me how good of a person she is and that this is shocking for him to hear but that she doesn't seem like someone who would do something like this...that she's getting her teacher credentials and he knows her really well. I am getting the vibe he doesn't actually believe any of this and he sounds very skeptical. I respond by telling him that it's almost always surprising when people exhibit bad behavior and that even teachers do bad things...that doesn't make her any more credible in my eyes. He acknowledged that. In fact, it's worse because I would be really concerned to have someone like that teaching a kid. Lack of empathy, accountability, and integrity. I mean, I think it's great he's trying to have her back but there are moments in life when you need to draw a line and act swiftly...these are one of those moments. Because ultimately, this impacts the reputation of your camp. I told him that it would be good to offer training to his staff in case this ever happens again in the future and honestly he sounded baffled and asked me to clarify...I said well maybe tell your staff not to give dirty looks to a mom who's clearly upset that her son just got pushed by a grown adult at summer camp?? I told him that the response to this situation could've resulted in a totally different outcome. Had she said something like "I really don't recall pushing you but if I inadvertently did and made you feel bad I'm sorry - I didn't mean to do that" - I would've went home that morning feeling fine about the situation. When I told him this he said that he's not going to police all her reactions, that she's still young, that she's still learning and made all kinds of excuses for her. Exhausting. Apparently she got a "warning" and will sit out of the flag activity (umm, ok...). He seems like a smart guy and wish him nothing but success in the future and I was earnestly trying to offer advice for how to handle a situation like this better but it fell on deaf ears. I really hope that some kind of learning comes out of this for both of them. Oh and to top it off, my son's friend told her mom that Carson was giving her looks several times throughout the day today and when she asked what kind she said "side eye" looks. NOT COOL. My son also said she was kind of mean to him but wondering why they were even in close proximity when Michael said they'd absolutely be separated and would not see each other? Validates we both made the right choice by pulling them both out. He offered a refund but I'm still pissed about the situation.

The scientist didn't bring enough supplies, several children didn't get to participate in the slime activity, kids cried, I looked unorganized, It was really distressing and embarrassing. The scientist forgot some other materials as well and offered to have more sent, but it ultimately wasn't possible because of our location, even though we had paid a $100 distance fee. The show had to be adjusted and cut short. We also provided some materials from home. The company offered a very small discount that felt almost insulting given how much we paid and how many issues there were. They added so much stress to my day. I cannot confidently recommend them.

They were a hit for my 5 year olds birthday party this weekend! I am a very happy customer! They traveled to Calabasas for us (with a travel fee of course) and it was worth it. They were on time and kept the kids busy for a long time! I would definitely use them again.

Since there was no availability in the appropriate level for my child I submitted a request for a refund. After a few weeks of continuously emailing and calling someone got back to me to confirm I'd like to cancel and get a refund. I was then told they would keep $42 in holds I had placed "which you can use any time in the future" and then there is a 6% processing fee for the refund IF it was approved. Weird business practice but whatever, fine, I just want my refund. Then they told me what my refund amount would be and it was wildly incorrect. So I corrected them and still haven't heard back. It's been about a month now, and I still don't have a refund or any communication despite my multiple attempts of contacting them. The instructor we had for our one lesson was fantastic but the management and administration is horrible. I'm sure they'll say "this is our busy season" well, then employ an office manager. So at this time I will say I would not recommend them, based off their business practices and lack of management.

They helped us with the set up of our food, decorations, and helped picking up all our belongings in the end. Constantly asking if there was anything they could do to help. They took such a huge burden off my shoulders. Hosting kids birthday parties can be very overwhelming but they truly made my experience an unforgettable one. All the kids enjoyed themselves to the fullest and the adults did too! Communication with Lucy prior to the event was fabulous! She kindly answered all my questions in a very timely fashion. Look around before booking - there are a ton of cleaner, cuter options. Not worth it for the tiny space, super awkward seating / table seating for adults (cramped to the back with zero view of the kids) and serious lack of play options. Ghost town; rarely any kids there for open play. Tiny ball pit has like 3 balls, it's all floor, an injury waiting to happen. And randomly, they have large pieces of VR equipment that take up an enormous amount of space. They sit there with DO NOT TOUCH signs collecting dust - gaudy and oddly out of place against a young children's atmosphere. Management and front desk are dispirited and dead-eyed, probably due to overhead and lack of business even after their so-called "remodeling". But definitely not the type of energy you'd want kids around either. Unfortunately, cost comes no where close to reflecting the value provided. Customer is charged extra to make up for their empty tables.
