It is a great place to bring the kiddos; it has a large pool the size of a football stadium with slides, and during events and the summer they bring out an obstacle course for the kids to play in. They host multiple events, especially during the summer. Like movies at the pool, which is fantastic here; a 4th of July drone show; and the very disappointing FIFA fan zone that was held here. (That's a separate review.) But over all the aquatic center is a fun and great day to spend a pool day with the kids. There's plenty of parking, and they do charge a couple bucks to get in; however, on most events it tends to be free to enter. Today I am here for the 3rd-place World Cup game, and it was free to attend. Kids get to play in the pool, and I get to watch the game. Is a win-win Love this spot. read more

**THAT'S A POOOOOOOOOL** It's the super stretch of swimming pools. It looks more like an infinity pool that literally has no end in sight. On a whole, I can't tell you how much we love this Rec Center's pool. It's a gem and life saver during summer heat waves. The sand is kept clean, the water is always sparking blue, and the grounds are well kept. Like I mentioned before, the pool is massive and always a pleasant temp during the warmer months of the year. I love that it has trees with a grassy area, civilized bathrooms, and outdoor shower sections. There's a beachy section near the pool's edge and cabanas you can rent for the day (first come, first served). ** A REFRESHING BIRTHDAY ** We hosted my kiddo's bday here last summer and were very pleased with the staff for being so accommodating to our requests. We rented tables for a nominal fee so that was worth not schlepping our own. We paid admission for 35 guests to camp out on the grassy area and dive into the refreshing waters until 5pm. The deposit and admission/person was quite reasonable. Especially since we celebrated from 11am to 5pm. ** 4th of JULY DRONE SHOW ** In 2025, the drone show for 4th of July was pretty cool. It was nice to see the community come out and watch the sky fill up and illuminate with hundreds of drones. We watched in awe as they rearranged themselves to music. I believe this is an annual event that the City and the local Fire Department host/sponsor. Approx. 35-min. showtime. Great family pool for kids between the ages of 5-13. Safe and fun. Lots of lifeguards who will do anything and everything to protect your kids and keep the space safe. They do not take anything but cash and make sure to bring lower bills. Cost for children's between 1-17 is $1 and for adults it's $4. You can rent a tent for $45 which doesn't do much other than provide shade. You can save money by brining your own tent and umbrella as well as chairs. Also, bring your own food if you want to save money. They have 1 truck which serves American and Mexican food..but seems over priced- $3 for 1 taco but I can't speak to whether or not it's worth it. The pool is large at 500 by 150 feet, which offers plenty of space for swimming, and water play. Also, if you are bringing children, the ratio for adult to child in the water is 1:1, and that is strictly enforced. The maximum depth (the middle of pool) is 4.5 feet which makes it ideal for children and toddlers, a great place to teach your children to swim. Every time we have visited the water is always clean and filtered. Sand surrounds the pool making it feel like a sandy beach creating a fun beach atmosphere. The water slide adds a fun extra touch, but are for older taller kids. Canopies are for rent at a minimum cost, many families like us prefer to bring their own setups, such as tents, chairs, speakers , coolers and blankets. Parking is free and plentiful around the park, but I suggest to arrive early to secure a good spot. The surrounding grassy areas are perfect for picnicking and cookouts, prime real estate is taken up quickly, have a strategy if you want the grass area. It's important to say that alcohol is not prohibited on the premises, and security checks from the Sheriff's are in place to ensure a safe environment, the premises is also fenced so no one can enter without going through security. Open at 11 but we stood outside for another hour before we got in the gates. Security rifled through everyone's belongings like we were at the airport. They went through my backpack and handed it back to me in a pile with every pocket unzipped and open with my towels all over the place. The big slide was closed for maintenance, of course they didn't tell anyone. Cabanas were listed at $30 on the website, but they were actually $45. There's a floating obstacle course that they charge you $10 per ticket for each kid to play on and the section is roped off in the pool, which means that only 2/3 of the pool is actually open. We went here recently for a movie night through street food cinema. All in all we had a good time, and things were slightly different since it was a special event but here are my take aways. There is sand all around the pool. So of course that gets everywhere. For me, I think if I'm going to a regular pool I'd prefer the added "joy" of the sand. But for people in this part of the Valley who aren't close to the beach, this is a nice alternative. There is a large side of the pool that is shallow for wading which is great for small kids. We were able to bring in our own food and a wagon. Hopefully that's a normal thing as those 2 things would be helpful for a long day there. There are family bathroom stalls, but they were locked that day. So we had to use the singles. The single stalls are small and would be hard for you and your child. Also make sure to lock the door. I accidentally opened a door on a man going to the bathroom which was shoes awkward. The place is very large, so there would be lots of space to spread out on a busy day. There are plenty of life guards to keep everyone safe. Parking is DARK at night. I'm not sure if they have a lot of late night events there. But there was absolutely no lighting in the parking lot which was a big safety issue for me especially with my small kids. They should bring out lighting on special days when they're there late. read more

When you want to go to the beach, without going to the beach. It's hard to describe it; it's half-pool but half-beach. It's owned by the state so they have a lot of state workers there and they heavily abide by the rules. Please make sure you're wearing proper swimwear (you'll need to have your swim gear on when you arrive) and they actually have a list of what is NOT acceptable on their website. For adults under 50, it's $4. For kids, it's $1. They're very strict about behavior and what is not allowed so please read the website. They have lifeguards pretty much every few feet, but if you have a child, you need to accompany them at all times. I personally liked it. It's a nice place to kick back and relax. It does get super busy and crowded during the weekends and holidays but it's not bad overall. The rules are rather overbearing and sometimes, I wonder what the point is. They pretty much strip search you before you enter so what could you possibly have or be doing for them to harass? This is what I describe as a mix between a pool and a beach. It is a large v shape rectangular pool with shallow ends on both sides and a deeper part in the middle surrounded by sand. It is a LA county pool so all the rules apply including everyone must have a swim suit to enter the water and no floatation devices allowed. They are strict for a reason- to prevent drowning! While there, at least 2 times in a 3 hour period the horns went off to draw attention to a possible child drowning that needed to be rescued by the lifeguards. People do not do a good job of watching their own child except for those under 7years old. Under 7years old they require one adult per child and a swim diaper regardless of potty training status as they don't want any feces in the pool. They have all day canopies you can rent for $45/fay with 4 chairs. This makes for a nice private area to set up a family get-together or celebration. Many families brought food and were enjoying the day there. I would consider it for a low key kids birthday party. If not, you could also bring your own sun tent or gazebo and set up a spot on the sand. I do recommend sandals for the sand as it gets really hot. The food truck on site seemed to have good food but we did not check it out, maybe next time. Overall enjoyed our 3 hours here and my 2.5year old didn't want to leave. Stay cool, follow the rules, and you will have fun with the family. read more

We visited the 7-11 on Foothill right across from the Dam. Ordered 3 large pizzas 2 pepperoni and 1 cheese. Took a wagon with folding chairs, umbrellas, cooler, towels, and water shoes. The place is pretty big. Half grass for picnics and half sand beach like. The center is open from 11am to 6pm. There's plenty of parking. Go online to the website and read the rules if it's your 1st time visit. You can also watch Tiktok videos to see people's experiences. Please wear an appropriate swim suit. The 1st time that we attended my husband was not wearing the correct swim shorts and had to buy some there $25. Everything once you step foot in is Cash only. Fiod trucks, swim clothing, entrance fees all cash only. You can bring outside food, drinks, grill, canopy, boom box etc. Safe for little kids and even kids on the spectrum. Water is very low. Restrooms, changing rooms, Family rooms, sinks for hand washing and showers for rinsing available in two locations . My family and I have been there twice . Once on a Wednesday and once on a Sunday.
