    Beach day with my girls!
    Haley L.

My family has been going here every summer for as long as I remember. We have many unforgettable memories here, from daily trips to the beach to getting Kohr's on the boardwalk, to going on all the rides! In my opinion, Wilwood is the best Jersey beach. The sunsets are beautiful as well. If you ever have the chance to come to Wildwood, try to do everything that you can, you won't be disappointed!

Negatives:Small room(oceanview king),actually was facing mostly a staircase. Bath not updated. Beds are very firm(some may like this). Air conditioner rusted/falling apart/smelled like burning when on auto and noisy. Walls are very thin and unfortunately if you have inconsiderate folks near you, it sounds like they are in your room whether on sides or above room. Kids walk in your room if you don't immediately lock door. People can gather right outside your door talking so loud it sounds like a noisy bar in your room. Folks who were 6" outside our door for more than 30 minutes )and our door had do not disturb/resting sign on), did not leave after opening door to show them we were inside. When I asked front desk if there was anything they could do (like ask folks to at least gather outside their own room/or move to more open public spaces, she told me just leave room and "go enjoy yourself", that I was "being difficult" by just asking for some common sense considerate behavior. After I then commented that I guess it doesn't matter how much noise I make:She did finally say she would send someone up to disperse crowd. Ceiling tiles have water stains. Had leftover half used hotel hair conditioner bottle in bath. Doormat on inside room is filthy and stained. Parking spaces VERY narrow. Expect dings in your vehicle. You could have a nice stay, but better hope you have 1) more considerate bunch of folks staying when you do 2) Don't mind cramped room.3) Don't get room with deteriorated toilet seat/AC/doormat/walls,4) Have beat up or really tiny car PS bring earplugs if you want to sleep

Affordable, clean and friendly....you're just not going to find a better place for location and comfort! Have stayed multiple times and always had a very good experience. Parking can be a bit tight, but we never had to move the car after arriving because everything else is so close. Room had a. Ice living room with a pullout couch bed. Small kitchenette with fridge and a full bath. The bedroom in the back had two queen sized beds that had plenty of room around them. Awake to the most amazing sunset views on the sun deck, enjoy the ocean views for the rest of the day, then hit the boardwalk (which starts right in front of the hotel). I prefer the 4th floor rooms for a better ocean view. We didn't use the pool much due to the ocean being so close, but it was clean and always had room to enjoy!

It feels newer and cleaner. The guest rooms are spacious and bright. Both Towers have a pool, but the Ocean Tower side has a DJ on the weekend with cabanas for rent. My sister rented one for my brother-in-law's milestone birthday and we had a blast. The pool is kid friendly and gets quite busy on the weekends. They offer a small food menu with soft drinks. You're welcome to bring your own adult beverages (which you KNOW we did)! That being said, it's pricey and they are not particularly accommodating about checking into your room early. We feel they could be a little more flexible on this front. If it's not 4:00 PM (or close to it) then you're not getting the keys. If you want to pay $50, then your room is miraculously ready (but not before noon). Checking in at 3:00 PM should not constitute a fee. Just sayin'. Our two-room suite was quiet, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked grungy with a rusted toilet paper holder and poor cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame when walking around. We were handed one vague sheet of information at check-in, and when my husband went back for clarification, the front desk still couldn't clearly explain the amenities. Most of the staff were unable to answer basic questions. The towel attendant stayed on her phone, and the manager seemed "put off" when asked anything. For a hotel on the high end of pricing in the area, I expected comfort and at least a touch of "luxury." Required valet parking added to the inconvenience. I would not stay here again.

Our room also had many of the towels folded into adorable flowers and a great view of the beach/shore. Parking is available right around the building as well as on the street, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. One night, there was a very heavy rain storm. Since our back door was facing the beach, some water crept in through the bottom of the door. We were able to stop the leak with towels and called housekeeping who provided a door guard that soaks up water in case it happened again. For the price we paid, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others as well.

Beachcomber is an awesome place. The staff and my neighbors and other seasonals are like family. There are rules and regulations everywhere and need to be. That being said, once again they came thru for me. I am 73, and I took a pretty good fall. I called the front desk, told them what happen and I had security guards, you know who you are, with a medical background here in minutes. Checking on me, asking to call an ambulance and they didn't leave until they were sure I was OK. My neighbors checked in and one even made me dinner the next day. Thank you All! Say what you may Beachcomber rocks! Even with the bad storms they were right on it. It is a safe place, a nice family owned campground. Ive see some people checking in being not so nice to the reservation clerks, life guards, activity directors and so on. Try being nice sometime and you will be treated with respect in return . It's very busy and everyone is doing the best they can. Once again Thank you Beachcomber

I was told my 20 year old daughter couldn't stay with my family for the band while tons of little kids were there dancing around. We moved to one of the picnic tables (right next to the dining tables) after finishing our dinner. Two young, male staff members came up to us and a very ignorant young male said we had to leave because we didn't stay at our dining table. Thankfully, a manager came up and told us we can just get another dining table. We explained to our amazing waitress that we already ate and were sorry to hold up her table (ordered drinks and tipped her well) but she told us not to worry and could stay all night. When we explained what the security staff said, she told my daughter she doesn't know why they were so ignorant and told her she can absolutely go up and dance with her siblings and cousin to enjoy Goodman Fiske. Well that's exactly what she did and had a blast! Turns out there were SEVERAL under aged patrons with no wrist bands on up at the stage enjoying the band. How dare they single us out and assume we were going to "sneak her a drink" because "other people have done that". After going to this establishment for several years, I will NEVER go back. Shame on you for singling out someone like that and trying to ruin a special family outing. Not so "family friendly" after all. Lastly, our alcoholic drinks tasted no different than my daughter's nonalcoholic drink. They're charging you for drinks and barely putting any alcohol in them. DO BETTER SEAPORT PIER!!! They had lots parking (free) available around the property. Free afternoon shuttle service to popular restaurants. They had free beach chairs and bicycles as well. The lobby area was super nice. There was a small shop and dining area. The pool area was too quality. One end of the pool was barricaded for toddlers and other side was about 8 feet deep. Lots of shaded sitting space was available all around the pool. Kids had lots of fun playing in the water. They had a terrace space on second floor that we used for hanging out with our big group. The room was spacious since it had a living space too. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was tiny but good enough to do necessary tasks. The beach across the hotel was fantastic. The sand was soft and we could walk almost 25 feet into the water at waist high level. All staff members we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The hotel organized different activities for kids and adults on each day. The only negative of the place was they had a small elevator, so there was a long wait every time we had to go up or down. It also has an outdoor hangout area with lounge chairs and light at 2nd floor. Swimming pool on ground floor. Kid section is fenced in (good feature). Parking lot attached (need a tag from them). Bathroom is a little small but it will do it. Absolutely love the big living room because we came with a big group and we were able to hangout in the room and outdoor area as well. Beds were good. Enough closet/drawer space for us. The staff were nice. No food service but there were many restaurants downstairs. Again you are paying for the location not the amenities in the hotel. I think it's pretty solid hotel for the area.

For over 25 my fiancee and her family has been going to Wildwood I joined the crew 13 years ago. We used to stay at a different place but we got very annoyed and upset with them last summer so this year we tried out Paradise and let me say it was absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The location is perfect. Literally right on the beach. All the staff were so friendly and professional always with smiles and paying attention to details. The rooms were very very clean. The amenities provided were plentiful the beds comfortable we had 2 bathrooms which is a huge plus and our room had a amazing king sized bed. The other room had 2 full/queen beds plus there is a sofa bed if needed. Absolutely plenty of room. The rooms were always made up when we left (one of the several reasons we got annoyed with the prior hotel). There is an elevator for the upper floor and they have luggage carts so you don't have to climb stairs while lugging bags. They have a little shop in front where you can purchase such as candy, chips, beach supplies and ice (sorry no ice machine). The pool is amazing. Very refreshing after a long day at the beach. Only bad thing is no floats allowed in the pool. There are 2 sun decks. One by the pool and one on the second floor that faces the ocean. Plenty of loungers and chairs as well as umbrellas. They also have 2 BBQ grills and tables to enjoy a meal outside. Also there is a beach volleyball court. I would say the only negative things are the no floats in the pool, no ice machine and no designated parking for handicapped people (I am a disabled veteran and police officer) other than those things which were really no biggie our stay was absolutely amazing and a great time was enjoyed by our entire family. Honestly the only knock is the 1960s outdated air conditioners which visually take up an obscene amount of space in the rooms but other than that the place is a great spot to stay for a few days in Wildwood. They have a covered first floor area for you to eat at night. In addition, a barbecue grill to make your own food. On the second-floor, there is more open area space to eat or hang out all while enjoying beachfront views. Paradise - In!
