What a super pretty place! The pool area has music and comfy cabanas to hang out in. A rooftop area too. Nice ocean front rooms w spectacular views of the ocean!

PROS: The overall ambience of this hotel was giving retro vibes. From the refrigerator to the microwave everything was very old school. The pool was also great although they do charge $15 for pool access and a towel card for your entire stay. They have two towers: the North Tower and the Royal Tower. The pool in the North Tower was very warm because of the water spilling out of the hot tub. The pool in the Royal Tower was much nicer and went as deep as 11 feet and they had a separate hot tub with a little waterfall as well as a kiddie pool. Both pools were open from 8 AM to 9 PM. The Royal Tower also had a grill to barbecue. I definitely recommend staying in the Royal Tower because not only is the service there much nicer there, but so are the rooms. You can have your own balcony, and the walkways are not as narrow as in the North Tower . Valet parking is also complementary at this property and it is very close to the beach as well. CONS: The service in the North Tower was awful. One of the employees there named Becky did not really care to make things right. They had got our booking reservation wrong and gave us a room that was missing a whole bed. She was unwilling to compromise or offer any help. She possibly gave the worst customer service I have ever received in the hospitality industry. Becky basically waved us off as something she did not want to deal with despite the room reservation being a mistake on their end. Not only that, the room that we mistakenly did get had the AC system broken and when maintenance came up, apparently it was a known issue that the vent was not working. They still gave us that room knowing there was no AC. The other room had the some knobs from a cabinet missing, as well as the bathroom faucet just popped off out of nowhere. Our room did consist of a pullout bed and they do offer mattress toppers, however I had requested one and it took about two hours to actually arrive. I went downstairs to speak with Becky about where the mattress topper that I requested was and she said that it should be there soon. I told her I've been waiting for over an hour and it's almost 10 PM now and I would like to go to bed and she just shrugged me off, saying that there was nothing she could do --- My suggestion is that if you're staying here, I would call in advance to clarify what kind of room you will be getting and verify the number of beds as well. It seems as though the employees at this hotel, especially at the North Tower were very careless in booking our rooms.

The new Madison Resort in Wildwood shows promise with its modern decor and comfortable accommodations. I did not stay at the previous Oceanside Motel but I can only imagine this is a drastic improvement. The rooms are clean, new and well-appointed, offering a pleasant stay overall. They managed to keep the vintage vibes but make them modern and aesthetically pleasing. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the beach and Wildwood Crest boardwalk attractions. However, there were a few things I didn't love during our "girls weekend" stay. The check-in process was very disorganized and the staff at the desk was unable to answer any questions about girls weekend. When they couldn't figure it out they just made something up. For example, telling us the goody bag would be waiting in our room. When we came back to say they weren't in our room there was a table set up with people handing the bags out. The info handed to us in our room envelope was just general hotel info even though we were told it had the itinerary for the weekend, which was also at the table when we went back. The noise levels from the courtyard area were very loud especially when the beds are right near the windows. Quiet hours really need to be instituted or this place needed much better insulation. Nobody seemed to say anything to other guests yelling at 2am in the courtyard. If the noise doesn't keep you awake the beds will. Both the "new" bedroom mattress and "new" sofa bed mattress were lumpy and terribly uncomfortable. The staff was not the friendliest and I felt like I was inconveniencing them with questions or even just my presence. We never got a good morning or hello in passing. When we checked out we didn't even get a thanks for staying or have a safe trip home. Another thing to note the motel has very limited, very narrow parking. If you don't get a space you need to valet. Girls weekend was a nice idea but the weekend seemed to be more for the "influencers" and marketing agencies. If you look at some of the posts they're tagged in you will see they are from consulting agencies which I'm sure were gifted their stays. The normal customers just got the shaft especially when bringing up concerns. It would have been great if they hosted a separate weekend for regular guests. Although this was the first "girls weekend" at The Madison, the hotel group hosts the same weekend at their sister hotel in Cape May twice a year. We were told the girls weekend there also does not go on without hiccups. With some big time fine-tuning in service and attention to detail, the Madison Resort could easily improve to provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience for guests.

We have been here for the past couple days and all I can say is wow we are blown away by the level of service, the comfort of every inch of this place it's pristine It's clean. I don't know how anybody can complain. OK people yes it's brand new. There's going to be some minor glitches have patience. I've been coming to the Jersey shore all my life and this is tops the manager at the front and all those girls work super hard and they're very nice and they have to put up with a lot of bitchy people kudos to the front desk girls, also kudos to the maintenance and cleaning people phenomenal work And we are even extending our stay because we are having a great time we are in room 202 and I feel like I'm in Paradise. I never wanna leave.

We decided on a whim to spend the night in Cape May (we were already in Atlantic City), and we managed to score a discounted room through Hotelstonight.com. Our room was bright and seemingly recently renovated. I love the suite effect (bedroom and bathroom away from the sitting area). They have a nice outdoor bar on the beach, but due to the insane wind, it was closed. Tropical Storm Debby was working her whorish way up the coast of New Jersey that weekend. We left the property for dinner, but we regretted it upon our return. The hotel restaurant (Coastal Blue) is beautiful! We enjoyed a night cap at the restaurant bar while we learned a bit about the history of the hotel from the bartenders. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. And they MEAN 10:00 AM. We were getting ourselves ready to go and at 10:00 AM on the dot, housekeeping walked in. We heard them before we saw them, and we said, "We need a minute". It was a little off-putting. We even had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We did not hear a knock. At any rate, don't expect to linger for even a minute. We were worried they would charge us for the extra 10 minutes (they didn't). I can't help but wonder if it would have been a different scenario if we booked our stay through Icona directly. Hmmm... At any rate, clean hotel with good amenities and shuttle service for local jaunts.

The staff is excellent and the management seemed to take my complaints seriously and offered to rectify my complaints which I do appreciate. Most businesses don't really care today. The rooms are well maintained for the most part but this visit was poor compared to other years. My screen had holes in it. Not the end of the world and I didn't even mention it until the end of my stay. Add that to a faulty fire alarm waking us all up Monday morning at 4:30 AM and according to the cop on the scene this has been an ongoing issue. Mgmt did explain to me they changed alarm companies- yet all the guests paid the price. Even more disturbing to me is that only about 10 people evacuated the premises. (Not the hotel's fault) I'm just sadly surprised that very few take their own personal safety seriously. In the on-site cafe there are residential portable air conditioning units being used because the cafe central air conditioning system is dysfunctional- plus I noticed burned out lights in the cafe. Another guest was complaining about the ice machine that was broken for several days. The cafe is run by a different group but the Reges has their name on it. They need to be more careful leasing that space. The quality of food in the cafe is slipping exponentially. My husband ordered a broccoli cheese omelette and was unable to detect either ingredient. The potatoes he got daily were cold. He requested onions and was told they don't have onions for potatoes. My first day I ordered eggs over easy and they were very mucous-like and raw- I couldn't eat them-I wasn't hungry any way. We tend to be forgiving about these things bcs it's an included perk. Ever hear that expression? "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth". Service at the cafe is severely declining. The server who took care of us for a few meals was a younger girl with dark hair and was absolutely miserable working there. She clearly hated her job. Our final day we endured an older overly tanned tall skinny blond "ish" server who has absolutely no business being in the service industry. She was extremely rude, impatient, seemed very annoyed we were there and kept ignoring my mom trying to order to go food- literally running away from our table- "I'm very busy". So you have ONE table at 7:30 AM and you are too busy to help a customer?! That's your ONLY JOB! She brought our juice to the table and we said "Thank You", she took our order to which we said "thank you"- -NO RESPONSE- no "you're welcome"- nothing but nasty attitude! I don't need this crap on my vacation. If you read my reviews you know I've been a server for decades-so I am more understanding than anyone- I put up with a lot more crap than I should- but I simply will not tolerate rudeness. This was the second time in my life I did not tip a waitress due to rudeness and I'm 56!! That's saying something. Additionally the beach was laden with trash. That is not the hotels fault- in good conscience I can no longer recommend my friends visiting here. The hotel called public works to rectify this. That's all well and good but too little too late for me with everything else. In the past, I had brought in a considerable amount of business to The Reges. My mom's friends, her sisters and their significant others, my good friend and her family visited numerous times, I had also brought my daughter and grand daughter last year. The Reges management offered to do something for me and they genuinely wanted me to give them a second try. I'm not looking for a free trip- I just wanted to be heard. Management heard me and responded to my message quickly and that's the only reason I am going with the 3rd star in my review. The Reges honored my wish to cxl my 2025 reservations and refund my entire deposit, (without a penalty of 25%) as that was my request. At this time I have no plans to return to The Reges. I have only a finite number of vacation days and the trip for me is nearly 3 1/2 hours to get to The Reges. I just can't chance another bad experience. Maybe someday I will feel differently.

Here is what needs to be fixed: The TV & Cable System: The hotel is surprisingly still using an old analog cable system instead of modern digital TV, which severely degrades the picture quality. Because of this, they don't even get standard local broadcast channels like ABC. It is a huge letdown when you want to watch a major event--like Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night--and you are completely out of luck. The Wi-Fi Network: The current network list is cluttered and confusing (showing EC WiFi, EC Secure, EC Voice, etc.), and the speeds are incredibly slow at around 24.1 Mbps download. They need to simplify this into just one clear network for guests and one for staff. The Restaurant Voucher System: If you are here with a larger group, the breakfast voucher system is highly restrictive. It only covers one specific meal item (like pancakes). If you want a side of eggs or anything extra, like a side of cucumber, you have to pay out of pocket for it. The Elevators: The building has three elevators total, but only two of them are actually running, creating a regular bottleneck for guests trying to get up to their rooms. If they modernized the Wi-Fi and TV systems and fixed the third elevator, this would be a top-tier place to stay because the rooms themselves are very nice. As it stands, the outdated infrastructure holds it back.

We used to stay at a different place but we got very annoyed and upset with them last summer so this year we tried out Paradise and let me say it was absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The location is perfect. Literally right on the beach. All the staff were so friendly and professional always with smiles and paying attention to details. The rooms were very very clean. The amenities provided were plentiful the beds comfortable we had 2 bathrooms which is a huge plus and our room had a amazing king sized bed. The other room had 2 full/queen beds plus there is a sofa bed if needed. Absolutely plenty of room. The rooms were always made up when we left (one of the several reasons we got annoyed with the prior hotel). There is an elevator for the upper floor and they have luggage carts so you don't have to climb stairs while lugging bags. They have a little shop in front where you can purchase such as candy, chips, beach supplies and ice (sorry no ice machine). The pool is amazing. Very refreshing after a long day at the beach. Only bad thing is no floats allowed in the pool. There are 2 sun decks. One by the pool and one on the second floor that faces the ocean. Plenty of loungers and chairs as well as umbrellas. They also have 2 BBQ grills and tables to enjoy a meal outside. Also there is a beach volleyball court. I would say the only negative things are the no floats in the pool, no ice machine and no designated parking for handicapped people (I am a disabled veteran and police officer) other than those things which were really no biggie our stay was absolutely amazing and a great time was enjoyed by our entire family.
