I wanted to take him to a "Dive Bar" instead of a slick polished corporate kind of place and was not disappointed. I've been in a few dive bars and this was one of the good kinds: good neighborhood, nice people. totally non-threatening and more affordable than the corporate places. Bear Down Chicago Bears!!…read more My husband and I recently discovered Jerry's Tavern and are now hooked. This place is the spot to go if you are a Bears fan. The bartenders are great and very efficient. They have a good amount of televisions in the bar as well as two outside. Jerry's has all sorts of fun signs and sports gear hung on every square inch of the walls and ceiling. Seems like the bar has been up and running since the 70's but I belive it's only been there a few years. The only criticism I have for Jerry's is the food selection. I don't eat meat and can't eat cheese. The only thing I can typically eat are the fries. The fries are super tasty but sometimes if I'm there for a long time I want something more substantial.
